Okay found it. Thanks a lot. Going to enjoy the story proper. Thanks a lot for the help guys.

Do you think I should go in the Chaos Dungeon first and farm up or just start playing?

I noticed you can get a lot of items from it.

It's really easy to get super powerful in the chaos dungeon. It also has some spoilers for the overall story and minor sequence breaking for dlc 1. If you don't care for the gameplay or any of that, go for it. If you care about the story, I recommend getting at least G end first, and maybe doing dlc 1 (deep sea area).

Was there ever any kind of difficulty or challenge mode mod made for this game? It is fairly well balanced but also feels like the line between an impossible boss and a pushover is way too thin at times.

If you're looking for a challenge there's sl 1, or dream soul only.

Japanese dev. Number four is considered bad, unlucky and death (not just in Japan, east is like that). Can also note how player has 9 classes to choose from in BS 2, split in 4+4+1 when creating character - 9 is also bad number, means "suffering".

If only they knew that the world consists of FOUR elements... and NINE would refer to the number of consciousnesses or worlds, mentioned in the Nichiren Buddhism.
But I don't see how it correlates with the game.

Edit: Though in my not the most stable state I made a few correlations to the numbers I don't have idea what they mean now, but... meep. I truly think it's incomprehensive, and may or may not refer to the gods or religions used in the game, explicitly or implicitly.

I have updated my version to 4.4 now which should contain all the DLCs too. Everything should be alright now.

Glad you got all the content now. The main point i try to bring across new people is that you can only exerpience the journey for the first time once. Regardless of you much you like or dislike the story/content afterwards. At least you got the proper experience either way for the first time.

It is clear as The White Soul that you didn't enjoy nor played the game much.
Why bother giving pointless questions?
Better ask something meaningful, for example: "How dumb or insane you need to be in order to enjoy this abomination?".
And the answer will be: "Pretty much. Enough to enjoy even darker versions of known fairy tales and cosmic horrors, piled up together and peppered with hentai you won't enjoy at first, considering the world you are in. It is not for the faint hearted ones, as I always say.".
And if flipped assets is a problem to you, I fear you may go insane from the thought of how many equally looking trees, grass, buildings or cars you can find in the real world.

Oh well, expectations are meant to be broken I guess.

I play on the steamdeck and just putting in "LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 %command%" in launch options and setting it to proton 5.13-6 makes it work perfectly by putting it in steam as a non-steam game.

I really wonder why the dev does not want to use MV. MV have so many better features compared to using VX Ace

No idea, but internet says there's need to switch from Ruby scripts to JS plugins. At the same time, MV can be easily ported for mobile devices? But MV is more complex overall? Would be best to ask dev. Maybe they try to learn MV or even MZ already, since we wait for Dead Red Hood for some time already.

Dying gives character status "hollow" - won't be able to see dream spirits (but nightmare spirits as well). Cured by using Girl's Scent or defeating boss.

Killing those in Chaos Dungeon will only give you resources, but if we are talking about Wonderland... your SEN will get lower.
You don't want it to get low if you just begun your playthrough. Trust me. Though, don't restrain yourself on New Game+, get SEN as low as you can/want.
Also yes, this copy of the game has all three official DLCs, excluding the Journey of Wind and Memory, which is a fan made mod.

Killing npcs, which includes white rabbits, reduces your sen. This does not include enemies in the chaos dungeon; just specifically the rabbits in rabbit hole (but not the ones behind the rabbit key door). Yes all the dlc is there.
