dude you're gonna have a whole game by the time i decide on my asset workflow
:cool:(y) i would remove the lamps btw, they look out of place ^ ^; since its top down with no ceiling i would just leave them out or make standing lamps if you feel the need to visualize some lighting. I envy you

Oh, don't worry too much about development speed. Everyone goes at his own pace. I just happen to have lots of time on my hands right now, all which I fully devote to this project. Not even playing video games. But such schedule is not for everyone, it might be better go slow and deliver than rush it and get burnt out :)

As for the lamps, you have a valid point, they do look somewhat out of place. It's something to think about, though they aren't as intrusive in-game, with parallax and fade-out effects
