"Fix the timeline" is not only an incredibly underutilized theme in h-games (particularly NTR games), but in games in general. Because of this, I was elated to read that Blue Spring Loop is one of those "fix the timeline" games. Unfortunately, quickly into the game I came to the realization that this game is pretty shit.
1. There's a severe lack of CGs and, to be honest, a lot of the CGs are kind of unappealing due to her facial expressions. When she's not making the retard-faces the CGs are pretty good, but she tends to make that face quite often.
2. Due to the NTR timer always advancing (even when she's doing non-NTR activities), the NTR is incredibly forced at awkward times. You'll literally be walking around town with your girlfriend, the timer will hit 100, and you'll be forced into a scene where the antagonist is railing her seemingly at random.
3. You have to sit through a lot of the same dialogue over and over again. Repeated h-scenes have a skip button, so should the repeated dialogue. You can fast forward (and by that I mean "advance the text a wee bit faster") through it but its still too long.
4. The MTL. I'm thankful that this was translated, but since its a rough translation and this is a story-heavy game, it really effects the final product.
5. The plot itself is straight up ass. The idea is good enough, but the execution and characters are not.
6. The sound effects are comical at best. They kill the mood.
7. Quite a few of the h-scenes are difficult to find/unlock. It's genuinely not worth the effort.
8. Decisions are driven by having a proper amount of Resolve (good karma) or Corruption (bad karma). However, quite a few of the good/bad choices are not properly reflected by these moral factors.
In the end, I think it's an easy skip. I don't even think it's worth downloading for the recollection room. A 2/5 because the game actually functions and the MTL, despite being rough, gets enough of the point across.
