With that being said, I did join the Patreon and found the 0.40 update to be mid.
Footjobs don't do anything for me, so I can only shrug and move on.
It seems the initial hype about using AI artwork to produce a game has proven faulty.
Yes there are more CG images, but beyond that, this game has not proven AI art is the future.
I know, I know.... for me this game is right on the line; I don't normally get into 2d stuff, but I like the conversational tone here so I've wiggled about joining. I don't mind ai or not, but thats probably because I'm not a 2d fan to begin with so I lack the discerning eye.
I don't really get this sentiment. How and why is this game supposed to prove anything regarding the usage of ai art? Ai artwork is mostly used to simplify the development, to get rid of the need for expensive dedicated artists.
And this game in my opinion is a great example of this idea working as intended. The artwork here isn't necessarily better or worse than that of actual artists, but it allows for the story to flourish even with the limited budget. The story is good enough that I would be interested in this game even without the artwork, but is a nice bonus for sure.

I literally don't give a shit about impressive sex scenes I can watch porn for that. These games should be as this is, good writing with visual aides

"story to flourish" - pure cope. A makeout and footjob is not flourishing nor is it stellar writing.
i'm actually very impressed with the amount of content in the update, feels very worth it to me. a large variety of scenes, each with custom art, and the writer is very good at jamming a bunch of scenes back-to-back without them feeling too forced

I haven't seen the update yet so I can't comment on that, though footjobs aren't my thing either. But what I mean by the story are not the sex scenes, but the premise, the characters, their development and corruption. These things are far more interesting and engaging for me. There are countless games, videos, doujinshi if I just wanted to watch porn.

admittedly I need to play the update first, but I bristle everytime I see this kind of response, especially since it's so heavily used with a singular style of game.

I feel like this game is early enough in development that this kind of response to people asking to rush the story is still somewhat acceptable (though rude and and a bit too simplified). I think that there is still place for more setup of the character's relationship. But I agree that eternally delaying the progression of sex scenes is the bane of existence of slow-burn games.

Hey Torimiata?Update 0.4.0 has been dropped!
This is an early release, so expect the usual evolution towards the more polished public version. As always, I start a bit rough around the edges.
A lot of messages in previous pages and I won't be able to go through all of them, I just want to say it makes me really happy to read all the supporting messages - it's a lot of work going through writing, drawing, animation so that encouragement really helps!
Regarding release timelines, committing to monthly updates is tough. Not because of the content – 0.4.0 is my biggest yet! - but because of how I approach storytelling.
With smaller updates, there's a higher risk of making decisions that don't fully align with the vision. Seeing the story in larger chunks allows for more adjustments across the board - be it in character development, plot progression, or simply closing off the chapter nicely.

Edit: I forgot that there is a 15 dollar subscribtion that has 1 week early access

5$ tier = 4 days early acces

That's correct. Early access is at least that many days, sometimes more, depending on various factors.

yeah , your game was the best game i have tried. I check your game everyday for the new part , when i know new part was release i just so happy and cant wait to play it
