This was one of my first NTS games and I really liked it, so I also want it to be completed, but I'm also trying to not create any expectations...

But how exactly is he scamming anyone? No one is obligated to support this project, and once the new content is released, it’s available for free here within minutes. Do you apply that same standard to every other game you play? Do you expect Sony to give you free, early access to new content for God of War every month? and If not they are scamming you?, why is this any different? (By the way, there are thousands of developers with unlimited budgets working on projects like that.)

don't compare yourself to a fully finished game, that's really stupid... with GOW you pay and you get a full game and not like here where you pay every month after a certain time you pay more than AAA games and you don't even know if you'll ever get a full game or every pair months you will get an update or the whole project will end or after a few updates a remaster will come again etc... personally I have no problem paying for a FULL game but where the problem is paying for something you can't see finish line

Yes, you are correct. I deeply respect your opinion, and I agree with you about Tori’s actions. What he must do most urgently is to release the game in a clear and tangible form, rather than just providing vague updates that cannot even be proven true.

However, should we really continue giving value to someone like this by criticizing him negatively, insulting him, and exposing him publicly again and again? For what purpose? Just to vent emotions for satisfaction? Or to gather more allies to condemn him? How much more do we need? Is it to set an example of what will happen if someone acts like Tori? Or is it to crush him completely until he has no place in society? What actual benefit does this bring?

Does it make Tori release the game faster? Not at all. It’s clear that, in the end, Tori will only release the game when he decides to.

I believe that the over 80 pages of comments since the last version was released are more than enough for people to see how terrible Tori has been.
Wouldn’t it be better if we stopped giving attention to someone like this, stopped engaging with him, and let people like this fade away from society?

The re-remaster was supposed to be a crude joke by the haters, but in this weird timeline we live in I guess you can just manifest memes into reality Dev please stop clinging to hope wait will be worth it - it won't. But update can still be good and if you manage to ignore the loud crowd and keep going on the SECOND good update you will see a positive change in the community and keep going from there. Just accept there will be a shitstorm of negativity regardless of update being good just because of the delays and transparency issues - just own it and move on.

Okay this is just me making my opinion known and want to be educated, cause I don't know anything about making Renpy or games in general...

I think remastering the game was fine because his excuse was the programming software who did the AI art changed their art style in general... making them all the same style will make the game more even out if that makes any sense, and I think that that was understandable... But then it took so long that it has now surpassed the previous time it took to make all the previous updates.

Because it doesn't make sense now that it would take that long because he was just changing the art style right? It's not like he was remaking the script and doing programing AND doing the art... No all he was doing was replacing the old art with a new one right? I think that's why people are so pissed because it didn't make sense and because of the patreon thing... and then the re-remaster thing happened...

Sorry just trying to make sense of how it got to this point and I think this is how it started? correct me if I'm wrong cause I am not that updated on how this happened...

And yeah I agree that the hype and expectations are now way too high and it would still receive a lot of negative feedback when it releases... Still have a tiny glimmer of hope that it would actually release... hopefully... maybe... cause I did love the game you know...

The game was well received before being put on hold, but due to different circumstances from Tori, it went almost a year without a release. When it finally came out, turns out the amount of content didn’t justify the wait, and some users on the thread made it known, some less savory than others of course. A bunch of posts in that thread were deleted, which is probably why you can’t find them anymore. There was even a post by the developer under a new alt account, still not sure what was the deal with that.
