For real. I check in periodically and just laugh at all the seething hate. Life's too short to bitch like that -- I've got all the time in the world and a backlog of like 50 games, so patience comes easy. I know it'll be great when it finally gets here.
It's a few pages back, but Tori explained it. To paraphrase from what I remember, the technology has improved significantly since he started making the game, and using the old method was taking some ridiculously long amount of time for just one scene. Whatever the new system is, it's apparently much faster and easier to use for him, but since there is a change in the art style, he wanted to go back and make the whole game have the same art style.Links?

Hmmm I'll take a wager against this stake, reasonable guess but just doesn't feel like his style....then again this dev is the guy that got very resistant to changing his own overuse of hard pauses, so perhaps control-freak isnt unearned.
He's spoken to that, though. I'm too lazy to sift through pages of forum posts to find it, but in one of the more recent Tori posts he talked about this and said that he's still working as hard as ever at this, and that it's something he does when he's not doing his full-time job. I don't know, the only reasoning I can see for saying that and your wager still coming true would be that he is playing it up to keep as many patrons as possible, but I honestly don't think that's the case here. I'll just say that I think, and I hope, you're wrong. I'm sticking with my original wager - sometime several months ago, mid summer or earlier, he got bored and disenchanted with the production process. I bet this update (the actual gameplay one, not the re-imaged) gets pushed back to around christmas if not later, releases to some fanfare - yet ends up being his swan song followed by many months of inactivity.
oh i 100% agree this is what's happening. i'm just taking prop bets on other parts of the development to keep myself entertained.
His word means squat though - not some harsh indictment like I was some sub that got burned; no, simply, his word means zilch.
Does hating literally rot your brain? Or is it being a fan of NTR over NTRS? I've read this several times and I get part of it, but I still don't understand "NTR, highly voted now as change" lmao you can't take 30 seconds to revise your post to make it make sense?
