    Version 0.5.34v1

Blurring the Walls is a heavily animated AI rendered game that leans heavily on the Netorase / Exhibitionist theme just like most of the NTR AI ones out there. However, it stands out from the crowd for having the most animated and voluminous narrative in an AI game.

If you are a big fan of animations and slow burn with lots of teasing using dialogue, then you're gonna love what BTW has to offer.

    Story
The story is about as conventional as they come - MC and his girlfriend, Ayumi as well as his BFF, Terrace, go on a holiday together at a seaside town. While there, they start to test the boundaries by engaging in various deviancies like exhibitionism and sharing. However, as of V0.5.34v1, there hasn't been any real penetrative sex short of a vanilla one as BTW is obviously a super slow burn that SLOWLY ramps up the temperature.

Also note that this developer relies very heavily on third party narration, inner thoughts of MC and intimate dialogue to build up the mood, so this might not be a game suitable for players who dislike WOT and just wanna see fast action with lots of fast changing renders.

    Game Mechanics
Based on the starting tutorial, choices supposedly move the scale to shape Ayumi's character into one of four archetypes which will be finalized after Act 1. These four personalities sit on a spectrum from a dominant teasing Ayumi close to Netorare to a submissive slave whereby MC sort of shares / pimps out her.

However since the game is still not past Act 1, we don't get to see how these personalities actually differ. So far, I don't really see much difference. I selected choices pushing Ayumi to be submissive and everything sexual up to now is still very Ayumi driven and MC remains pretty much a wimp. This aspect needs some serious rework to stick to its original vision.

    Background / Character Renders
They are AI rendered, but adopt a stye that is much softer in color tones and hazy in focus compared to most other AI games. The overall ambience reminds me of the Mana series of RPG games (Legend of Mana, Adventures of Mana, Visions of Mana etc.). Quality control is good and there is no obvious illogic.

There are a lot of animations even for non-sexual situations so that's certainly a plus for immersion. The only thing I hope can be improved upon is having them looped continuously instead of the obvious jarring we see now.

    Character Development
With not much of a real story to go for, BTW is pretty much a character focused game. There's certainly a lot of text dedicated to build up as MC and Ayumi explore their sexuality, excellent stuff for those who like intensive slow burn, but ill suited for those who want fast action and less reading.

I lean towards slow burn and good narrative, but I must say since nothing much really happens story wise some of the dialogue is too wordy even for me. Sometimes it reaches a point where it is simply unrealistic as nobody, no matter how lovey dovey they are, talk this way.

    Sex Scenes
For a start as of this version, there is only one real penetrative sex scene and it is vanilla between MC and Ayumi. So if you are one of those looking for orgy, threesome, swinging etc. it is best to wait for further updates.

All the scenes including hand jobs, blow jobs etc. come with multiple animations and sound effects that make them top notch. Only thing again is I hope future animations can loop seamlessly instead of the heavy jarring now.

    BGM and Sound Effects
BGMs are pleasant and uplifting in line with the theme. Sound effects outside sex scenes are minimal.

    Conclusion
BTW is a nicely done piece of work that provides a softer and slower burn take on NTS. This game requires patience and you need to enjoy the process of encouraging NTS rather than the outcome which will not come about quickly. The many animations sprinkled throughout add to a pleasant experience but the WOT approach might not appeal to everyone.

    A very decent game...

    - With good characters. Not only they are not shallow, but they are also well designed and pretty attractive. They have their own unique character traits.
    - Scenario is pretty simple but well delivered and the relationships are well established to create a nice underlying teasing for the NTS side of this story.
-The decision mechanic in this game is also a pretty nice feature and makes this game I guess more versatile.

    ...but with a big flaw

-The amount of dialogue and lines... This is honestly pretty extreme. I understand perfectly the importance of it to make the player more absorbed by the game. But honestly, we are talking in literally hours of reading for not so many content. Some conversations are super trivial and sometimes even go in circles. To be honest, I think the same game with 50% less dialogues would be so much better and wouldn't impact the overall quality of the game. And the fact that you can chose different path for the main female character just makes even more lines to read. Pretty painful.
-And this also does probably impact an another aspect of the game which would be better if more hours were used to focus on it : Animation. Like for a small example, the 2 beauty marks on Ayumi's chest go all over the place when animated. For sure in the game it still say "Beta Animation". But it is definitely something that should be improved.

    3/5.

Great CGs there are unique and high resolution, good writing with minimal spelling or grammatical errors. Extremely poor plot progression and development. The creator has become way too comfortable with their subscriptions.

A true writer knows when to finish a story and is comfortable enough in their own talent to do so and start a new one. This one seems afraid to finish, as if they won't know how to start another one after.

Blurring the Walls is an incredible NTR game with an immersive story and high-quality art that really draws you in. The pacing and character development are handled so well that it keeps you engaged the whole time. Every scene feels impactful and emotional, making it a truly memorable experience. I’m really excited for the future updates and can’t wait to see how the story continues to unfold

This is gonna be a weird review ...
Yes the game is obviously excellent. Graphics, Writting, Sound Design etc ...
My issue with this is game is that ... it is TOO GOOD.
It kind of pushed me away from the kink (NTS).
Why ? Because .. It felt kind of real. At some point.
0 porn logic in this writting. Result ? The pacing of events, the logic of it all ... It's TOO REAL. I've been surprised how I cared for the caracters. Made me afraid of the kink. Me ! A big NTR/NTS enthousiast.
Hit me like an epiphany. What would I do in such situation. Because it felt so plausible, so real.
Made me afraid to share my GF ...
As an enormous NTS enthousiast, this fucking game made me afraid of the idea of sharing my GF ... that's how good the writting is.
Also, the caracters have the time of their life in this story. And I'm like, here, alone, in front of my computer ...
    FUCK YOU GUYS
I go back to College of Mysteria, or Nyatorase. At least the stories there feels fake enough to not hurt my feelings.

This is an amazing game, the unique graphics and animations make it special, it is worth noting the huge number of words as the plot continues, the author is in no hurry to develop the plot of the story, which is very tantalizing for players haha, I hope in the future the story will speed up a little and we will enjoy amazing story novelties

Loved it. I really enjoyed the story and the strong relationship between Ayumi and the MC, and our good friend Terrace is a real bro and not a jerk. It's so refreshing and lighthearted; for me, this is how it should be. It's fun and not depressing

Plot wise i would put this game in the mount Rushmore of NTS games. The story really takes it's time to build up the relationship and trust between the mc and fl, which is surprisingly refreshing considering how often ntr/s games jump straight to the sharing.

All the text and build up serves to make the pay off infinitely better when we get to the action. The way the mc and his girl open up and start dipping their toes into their new kinks feels realistic and it's fun to watch them become more and more daring. The side characters are fun and got personality as well. Not to mention, the actual nts scenes and roleplay is all super hot and creative.

Even though it uses AI art, it manages to stand out from the extremely generic AI art that these sorts of games tend to have. The anime inspired style is super pretty and works well with the story.

The only reason I can't give it 5 stars right now is because some of the animations feel stilted and uncanny. The sex animations are great but the use of animations in regular scenes really breaks the immersion and feels distracting. But otherwise is a sick game. Can't wait for more updates.

I'm not one to dislike AI CG, just when it's lazy, which is not the case in this game, you can tell it took effort to make and it's not just another AI sloppy mess. I especially loved the build up, the writing is excellent and Ayumi's teasing the mc is hot as hell, the scenes are pretty well made and the dialogue is also good. I'm excited for future updates.

    The renders good.
The animations are good for the most part, it would be better if some of them were on a seamless loop, but maybe its a tech limitation. A couple were too shaky and a bit headache inducing.

The writing is a bit longwinded but alright as a whole. I hate that it has a "narrator" which is just the protagonist's descriptions and inner thoughts, but the protagonist also does descriptions and has inner thoughts during dialogue sequences, which makes the narrator pointless and distracting.

    + Ayumi
+ renders & animations, they are very good

    - walls of endless boring text. You literally at some point want to hit alt + F4.
    - lewd content almost doesn't exist here.. if you somehow survive and get a scene it's just disappointing..
    - too much teasing, give MC and his girl some real scenes.. he really can't fuck her properly EVEN once? like a real fucking man?
    - pathetic imbecile submissive MC. I really can't stand him
    - forced lesbo stuff ugh..
    - no MMF/DP/gangbang scenes
    - sub/dom choices. I thought by collecting dom points our protagonist grow some balls and starts behaving like a man, but he is still a sub.

This game doesn't offer anything interesting, no idea what is this? Teasing simulator? meh.. 2 stars

Hands down, this is the best NTR VN I've xperienced. The plot, the characters, the depth - and the *good*, non-generic horny smut text, just blows everything else out of the water.

Even did great with the AI generated art, particularly the expressions and posturing.

The only actual criticism I have for this one at this point is the 10 questions scene, after the point her bra starts slipping, it cycles between a few different pictures where it keeps going back on and slipping off. That was a little immersion breaking, it could use a few more different frames to keep the visual continuity from cracking.

The game has a solid foundation—great visuals, good pacing, and an engaging premise. The tension builds well, and the characters are attractive.

However, the writing drags things down. Too much repetitive dialogue makes scenes feel drawn out, and I often find myself skipping. It could benefit from fewer words and more action.

If future updates trim the excessive text and focus more on scenes, it could be amazing. Still, a promising game with lots of potential!

This game has nice visuals, but it's almost impossible to read because every scene is dragged out too long. It feels like the main idea of the game is to stretch every scene as much as possible. Some scenes have good writing, but it becomes repetitive too quickly.

Technically, the game isn't really good either—you experience lags and some odd 2.5D animations that make everything feel off. And you can't even enable full screen or change the window size, which is ridiculous.

For what the game is right now, it's not worth checking out. I really wish some developers understood that writing a lot doesn't mean writing well.

    excellent writing.
Even if AI ...the art is servicable.
Gameplay is simple as hell but the experience has potential to be really great.
Even in this early version there is so much teasing content.
    Good job developer.

Overall I enjoyed the game. But to many times wall of text and I am not the biggest fan of the direction the girl is going. But I still would recommend it. The AI is okay and I would count it to the better ones but in general just okay.

One of the best NTR games I've ever played. And it's only getting better too!

I know that it's AI but I feel at this rate it's helping those wanting to share their vision produce faster. Plus, everything in this game looks amazing.

This still remains to be one of my favourite netorase games. Even though the remake rolled back a lot of the story progress (which I am really annoyed by), I would say that it was worth it.

The increase in the quality of images and even the quality of writing is really noticeable. The scenes which felt flat in the original now have both the beautiful images to back them up and a better writing. The only thing that I don't like about the new artstyle are the "models" of characters during regular dialogue - somehow they look too shiny and artificial. Otherwise, even though I miss the old charming artstyle, this update to it is such a clear improvement that I can't believe anyone really dislikes it - the level of detail is so much higher and female characters are that much more attractive and tantalising. And, this is a bit subjective, but I really enjoy how much focus is given to FMC's butt in the remake - for me, a butt connoisseur, this is an amazing improvement. Please, Torimiata give it eve more focus, I beg of you.

As for the writing, the improvement to it is noticeable too. Some would dislike it because of it being a bit too long-winded, but I really like it. It goes into the nitty gritty of the mc's feeling and emotions. Because of the writing the bond between MC and FMC feels stronger than ever - and that is extremely important in netorase games. I would say that the writing became much spicier during the teasing scenes and the sex scenes than on the original - somehow I feel it so much more now, you can really see how much MC is aroused by the thoughts of Ayumi being intimate with other people and by Ayumi's teasing and actions. And how much Ayumi enjoys teasing him about - how absolutely entranced she is by his fantasies.

One thing, that I had the problem even in the original, is how long some of the slice of life scenes go. And the writing in such scenes feels very anime - with character constantly blushing for no reason. But that is just the style of writing, I am okay with it in general. And it makes the more spicer scenes feel that much more significant.

Another thing I am a bit worried about (though not too much ) is the addition of new characters. It can really take the focus away from the main characters if the dev is not careful. But, I will believe in Torimiata's ability to make these new additions worth it.

So, overall, I think that the remake was worth it. It is a significant improvement to the game and I can't wait for more updates.

it's a real shame that this game showed a lot of promise, but since the remaster it is a shadow of its former self.

    what's good:
    - the first chapter of this game was and is the hottest chapter. it starts with some beach exhibitionism and ends with a bukkake dream sequence. when you play this first chapter, you think, "oh wow, this game has potential!", but...

    what's bad:
    - ...the game never lives up to this promise at all! everything grinds to a halt after the opening chapter, starts introducing new characters, and all of the sexual tension is defused by seemingly endless paragraphs of text
    - i really can't emphasize enough how longwinded the dialogue in this game is. very simple questions like "are you sure about this?" is broken up into 4-5 separate dialogues, like, "hmmm...", "are you...", "are you sure that i should...", "are you sure about this?" this would be fine if it were part of the dirty talk, but most of the time its about reassuring the bf/gf that this is what they really want - essentially NTS legalese to demonstrate the characters are consenting. just... say it once and move on!
    - performance is terrible. it's actually not easy to make renpy perform this poorly. i have no idea what causes the poor performance, and the dev has made slight improvements, but every new update the performance degrades again
    - there are weird hitches and pauses everywhere. every scene ends with a fade to black, and then the scene flashes again, before ending the scene. it's just very sloppy renpy timing coding
    - after the remaster, the charming 2D art of the pre-remaster game has been replaced with an ultra-generic 2.5D look. if you didn't play the original version this might not bother you, but it's crazy how much this game went from a unique anime-inspired art style to looking like every other AI CG game on the market
    - the parallax is poorly implemented. instead of being multiple layers in the image shifting around slightly, it's often one 2D image being stretched unnaturally and leaving artifacts in the image. if this was done for sexy animation purposes, it would be forgivable but instead its just used... everywhere? constantly? why is everyone and everything bobbing and wiggling all the time?

overall i can't recommend the game at all. it's frustrating to watch what was once a good game get worse with every update.
