If anyone ever played or know abou the game "Hunt down the freeman" will understand exactly why this game is bad.
The idea the concept and overall direction is good certainly not subpar by any mean.
It's the execution that's bad. The "level design" in term of game play is 1/10. Almost no clue to what lead whatsoever. The development of the "core" game is basically stagnant for the past few years. Dev keep expanding the width of the ocean but not the depth. You can finish one of the 2(or 3?) story line of what's might be your very first NPC character with as few as 10 interactions and has been that way for years.
The repetitiveness aka repeat grind is insane. NPCs have fixed time-table, granted the dev acknowledge this and promised to make it more randomised. While at the same keep expanding the game. This is like you promiseing to move the tree saplingbut most likely never will do since you keep wateringit everyday. By the time you decide to move it, it's alread a giant fucking tree and literally have to be up-root with significant more work to move to the point that it's not worth it. This is how most game dev promised but not deliver.
