Unity - BMO TV [v0.7.1.f3] [Rel]

TLDR - shitty point and click game with no sex and questionable progress to get transformations, plus lots of grind for all the endings
Important note - this game has been in development for ~6 years at the time of this review. I have not played any version before 0.7.1 (current one)

For a game with so much focus on bimbofication and transformation, it certainly gets in the way of the player a lot. You're supposed to be a man who unwillingly got into a reality tv game that's about deciding "who's the most feminine woman", but also allows contestants to play dirty with one another.

The first problem with the above is that only ONE of the contestants, Erica, actually plays against the other 3. These 3 will only ever target you, never one another. The second problem is the whole "sex positive" and "exploring kinks in a safe environment" message you see every time you start the game. "Do you consent to being transformed against your will?" - If I consent, it's not against my will anymore. This gets eye-rolling stupid when one of the 3 girls gets injected, AGAINST THEIR WILL, with a DUM+ drug, which makes them a dumb airhead. "Since she can no longer consent, you can't have sex with her". Oh, but if your character gets an IQ of 40, she can still consent and get fucked! Fuck this hypocritical bullshit.

Anyway, back to the story and the cast, there are 3 girls that can be bimbofied and that will also try to bimbofy you. Getting on their good side will allow you to choose what transformation you get, but won't stop them from doing them against you. The 4th girl, Erica, can go stick a pineapple up her ass. You can only "fight" her if you ally with all 3 girls, because the whole game is rigged (and she's actually a demon). It's a missed opportunity that you, the player, cannot confront Erica in any way, even if those would auto-fail.

The game has a number of ending scenarios, with 4 being defined by week 2. Others will end the game before the 10 weeks. Once you finish the game once, you find out that you're more or less in a time loop to discover wtf is going on with climate change, because that apparently has some relation with the show. Don't ask, I don't get it, either.

With access to the "multiverse", you'll quickly understand that the unlocks are railroaded bullshit. If you started a path but didn't finish it, you don't get credit, it won't open up in the rock that shows the choices and consequences. For instance, if you play along with Erica and get the latex suit while also letting Himari transform you into her clone, finishing either of those scenarios will ONLY unlock the bits related to that, even if you advanced enough in the other track. That is fucking bullshit.

Oh, there are 2 guys that get added to the house in 2 different weeks, which you can fuck, but not much besides that. Marco can show up to transform you, but neither him nor Damien will protect you from anything, or interact with other girls. Speaking of which, this game essentially lacks any sort of sex animations, so if you were expecting to see a sissy bimbo getting railed by a dudebro, I hope you're satisfied with seeing two expressionless, front facing paper dolls moving a tiny bit. The other "sex animation" is the character's back pretending to suck a cock.

Let's not forget to talk about the UI/UX of the game, because boy, that one leaves a lot to be desired as well.
    * The default male face looks really fucking stupid
    * On several occasions, after you get a hair color forced on you, Katelyn (Katy) will show up on the map item with blue hair, despite her hair being colored red. Sometimes her graphic will also load the blue hair instead of red;
    * During 2 different weeks, the wheel of misfortune will show on top of the girls (Katy, Himari and Abi);
    * No "hold to skip" button, gotta fast click your mouse to skip dialogue you've seen 10 times;
    * Whenever you're caught by a dumbified girl, time passes anyway, despite them not doing anything to you - this is more annoying when all you did was fall from the high heel, since when nobody catches you, time doesn't advance;
    * For some reason, the save screen will let you go to over 1000 slots, but not give any easy way to return to the first screen;
    * When Abi gets a HEAT+ dose while also having longer hair, she can be found on the bathroom giving blowjobs on the gloryhole, but her hair will be flickering between short/long.
    * SEVERAL cases where the map does NOT show the correct position of characters. In the above case, Abi will be shown as being on her room instead of the bathroom. In later weeks, the Gym will only show Marco's face, but you can only find Katy there.
    * The endgame scenario tracker thingy has a shitty blue on blue background color scheme. Also, mouse wheel UP to zoom OUT! What the fucking fuck, man?
    * Pressing ESC doesn't close most windows, like the Wardrobe, Shopping window (clothes and items), backpack - it also doesn't zoom out of the Thoughts bubble, doesn't end the hypnosis screen
    * Depending on how fast you're clicking/advancing through text, screen transitions might only load after the next batch of text
    * Some events can stack, which can lead to weird situations like "you can't exit the room" but falling from your heels advances time and takes you back to your bedroom.
    * The explanation for the gloryhole minigame makes no fucking sense. Just bash the combination ASAP for maximum votes.
    * Whenever the girls get transformed BY ERICA, they'll complain as if it was YOU who transformed them. Sometimes they'll then comment about it being Erica's fault
    * Most of the game's story progression is time locked
    * Even after being hit by DUM+, if you attack Katy, she will take revenge on you
    * Performance drops the further along the weeks you are. Having too much stuff in your inventory/wardrobe also seems to have an impact
    * Whenever you cum from excess arousal, it's always Erica who finds you

I could go on a lot more on little grievances, but seriously, this game is not worth it. I played for 10h or more by now and am left sorely disappointed.

Honestly just extremely boring, not very engaging gameplay and it feels like you're stuck on rails the whole time. Also the fact that you're actively forced into the feminisation even though your character doesn't want it and yet you can't fuck someone who has been made into a bimbo is just downright stupid. You've got to pick a lane, you can either avoid the transitioning or you should be punished when others transition. That's not even to mention how horrid the art is, it's downright ugly. Usually, I'll see a game similar to this and think there must be some redeeming qualities to this game which the devs can focus on. For this game, frankly I didn't find anything redeeming. I don't recommend this game to anyone whatsover.

This game should be a 4 or maybe even a 5, but the tedium of constant repetition and trial and error style of gameplay, combined with random punishment mechanics, mean you'll spend more time fighting the game than enjoying it and honestly makes me want to give a 2. Especially the fae puzzles, they became absolute torture for me and basically made me stop playing completely. There's a great idea here but I feel like I'm being punished for trying to experience it. I hope they severely tune this with shortcuts or workaround at some point because going through several weeks of doing the same thing only with a slightly different variation isn't fun.

Sex positive eh? "we want a safe space to explore you're kinks" then says MC will be forced into BDSM ...not my kink so i won't be exploring anything thanks! could have at least tried to be inclusive in this sex positivity.

Takes what I though would have been quite an interesting subject and turns into weird bodyhorror/ creature bodymorph stuff.

Imo it would have been better to remain in the realms of moral degredation, bimbofication and playing on the Loveisland/ big brother themes than going shallowly into turning the other contestants into slime and snake versions of them.

There is also a general cognative dissonance around the themes of sex positivity from the dev (which is objectively a good thing) and the clear an indemic power imbalance and lack of informed consent shown off in the game that partially holds the game back.

If anyone ever played or know abou the game "Hunt down the freeman" will understand exactly why this game is bad.

The idea the concept and overall direction is good certainly not subpar by any mean.

It's the execution that's bad. The "level design" in term of game play is 1/10. Almost no clue to what lead whatsoever. The development of the "core" game is basically stagnant for the past few years. Dev keep expanding the width of the ocean but not the depth. You can finish one of the 2(or 3?) story line of what's might be your very first NPC character with as few as 10 interactions and has been that way for years.

The repetitiveness aka repeat grind is insane. NPCs have fixed time-table, granted the dev acknowledge this and promised to make it more randomised. While at the same keep expanding the game. This is like you promiseing to move the tree saplingbut most likely never will do since you keep wateringit everyday. By the time you decide to move it, it's alread a giant fucking tree and literally have to be up-root with significant more work to move to the point that it's not worth it. This is how most game dev promised but not deliver.

Bad game. Bad graphics. Bad story. Bare game. Single paths with no dynamism. Boring and tedious. Extremely uninteresting characters. Unfair scoring system. Monotonous game. Impossible to do anything other than what the developer wants.

not much to say of the game yet... maybe 10ish minutes of gameplay so far but it seems promising i'm hoping to see alot more outfits, alot more dreary or questionable looking interiors and maybe some more hair or even some tattoos.

Lots of grind to get to lewd. The game feels like it's made by 3 different teams, as the art style, game design, vibe seem all over the place.

It took like hours to do any meaning transformation in this game. I'm not sure if there's something I done wrong. The vibe is forced transformation. But in story, player character is basically immune to transformation.

It does have a few really nice image as promotional material and title screen, but that's basically it.

Have been following this game for a few years now, I thought it got off to a great start as a corruption game. However every time I came back to play another update there seemed to be more and more barriers to fun added.

Then events and story paths were time-gated, then there were some objectives that had to be repeated on subsequent days, combine that with random events taking up parts of your day and you can through no fault of your own fail objectives and wreck your save.

On top of that you get some unlocks once you finish the game for your subsequent playthroughs, but there are two currencies you earn, and one unlocks the other by making your future playthroughs more difficult through stat penalties.

So the more you play the harder things get. I'm still giving it three stars because it's fun to corrupt the housemates and your own character over time and there's some good character art, but every time I come back to play this there's more grind, more puzzles, and less capacity for player error or experimentation/fun.

It's a bimbofication-come-dress-up game. The game does everything you'd expect from a game in this genre. Where it has an advantage over games with a similar concept is the art. It's high quality and there's a wide variety of clothing options.

There are a lot of different routes/possible endings and a new game+ system where you can spend points acrued by completing the game on shortcuts for your next playthrough.

The main downside of the version I played is that you can't yet complete the game on the *main* route. I should probably have played the most recent version before reviewing to check, but I'm going to assume this is still the case. Still worth playing to explore the other endings and cast of characters, though. And if you just enjoy games with a wardrobe system like I do, it's definitely worth playing.

Besides the graphics, everything is either a soup of narrative dissonance of wanting to be "sex-positive" with the "it's all consensual we swear" being bashed on your skull over and over, awful performance, bugs galore and a truly impressively dogshit gameplay design that only goes downhill as time goes on and you take the grueling effort to try and finish the story. The preachy meta-commentary also falls completely flat and is hilariously pretentious.

I actually even donated to play through the whole thing. This game is just bad like plain bad.

The transformations are supposed to be the main thing, but lots of the transformations are walled behind a bad end path; don't let the game confuse you can't really transform the other characters (or not supposed to) and one of them you can't transform at all because she a demon (Really?).

Don't get me started on the tedious "puzzles". The lab on is neat, but the maid one? Or the ending fight? Garbage. Give it a go I guess if you REALLY like being transformed, but realize the contest premise of this game does not exist.

I'm not lowering the score due to performance issues but those issues are present.

Still I give it two stars, it could become three if the Dev includes an actual competition mechanic (He has not since the game started 4 years ago). This could have been a good game, but it's just a weird puzzle game.

No reason for score to be as low as it is.

I imagine people review bomb this for one of two reasons:

They hate reading or they don't like the entire genre of the game.

The game still has a ways to go in development. A lot of "Pardon our dust" signs so to speak as you click around.

That being said what is already here is already very intricate, and I really appreciate how the game does not talk down to it's audience. If you are paying attention all the clues are right there in front of you, just don't get lazy and skip text.

Alright premise for a TF game, with some pretty good female paper doll art, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Relation points and paths just do not seem to make any sense. Some characters you can try to grind over and over and it doesn't seem to move their needle at all, while others like the Japanese girl will max out from like 3 conversations. You also have to find what specific repeatable interactions let you actually increase relations, as otherwise you just waste daylight and get nothing for it. Seems very half-baked.

Any actual meaningful changes are mostly just dictated by quest events, which would be fine as I prefer narrative-driven stuff over grinding, but knowing what to do or even how to get on a path is also just nonsense. Half the content seems to just end with no idea how to continue and you have no idea if you're missing a trigger of if it's unimplemented content. It also seems if you ally the wrong girl (which will most likely be the japanese girl since she's so trivially easy to ally), you'll be locked out of any other paths? I don't really know, I just know that my content seemed to entirely dry up after about a week, and even the walkthrough was unhelpful as it doesn't really cover how to start things.

Game also has nearly no actual sex scenes. There's seemingly a whole 2 animations for a blowjob and doggstyle that get re-used, but they're just one paperdoll crudely jiggling in front of another. It's a effectivly just a really slow dress-up TF game, not a sex game.

Also, some of the TF's are just annoying to deal with, particularly if you wanna play a futa/femboy character. It's one of those games that will force your dick into a vag and you'll have to save edit to keep it. You'll also be forced to have a specific hair color and shit. I'd much prefer if the TF's were more personality driven than forced physical customizations. The RNG of them also feels out of place compared to the NPC girls who have clear bimbo paths. You'll end up a clashing mix of gym-bunny goth catgirl housewife if you let the RNG choose for you.

It's all rather a shame, as like I said, the female paperdolls are pretty good. The mid-level body proportion TF in the string bikini outfit is super hot even to just look at in the corner. The problem is that that's pretty much all you're gonna do with them.

Overall, alright premise, some good art. Terrible game.

The game just straight up doesn't work. Can't do two actions without the thing crashing. And on top of that it takes ages to load. The save files are also completely screwed for some reason, specially the auto save, which seems permanently glitched.
This game needs a serious rework, jeez, I was interested by the premise but that completely shut me off.

I LOVE the premise of the game, however in its current state it's terribly optimized, has lots of bugs and gets repetitive rather quickly.

    - I really dislike this art style.
    - Navigating the map is awful.
    - The UI sucks.
    - The unskippable intro sequence is just... weird and doesn't seem necessary but at least it's only once per save file
    - The quick time events suck and often feel rigged even though I do everything properly

I think it could be MUCH better than it is.
Despite that, I'm rating it this high because sadly I haven't found a better game with a similar premise, the concept itself is actually really appealing to me...

I really like this - the flexibility of the avatar as it changes, and how it reacts to said changes is very well done. I also think the number and quality of various events that occur during the game's branching paths are superb.

I think the biggest issue is how repetitive it can be, and how unoptimized the game is. Switching from one screen to the next can take some time - there are also little bugs here and there.

But overall the experience is enjoyable, and if your kinks line up with mine, you'll find this to be pretty enjoyable. Granted, many of the endings are not for me, and I don't quite like the sissy angle of things. But even though most other content is well done.

I think the game is also well advertised for what it is - it's not a sex/porn game, it's a transformation game and appeals to what it knows.

That being said I would like to see more sexual interactions between contestants/people. Whether that be with male protagonist and the other girls, or more events like what the gloryhole introduces.

I also think that patreon exclusivity is a little too much for my liking, and given the money this project makes, the pace of production could be a bit faster.

But it's a quality product - I especially enjoy the replayability - by the time Ive done my 2nd ending, I feel like I know all the characters, they are decently written and do have their own life to them!

    awful art
    repetitive
forcing people to consent to "sex-positivity" to play the game
time limited, you lose all progress at the end
    terrible writing
    shitty characters
    confusing from the get go
unnecessary fast reflex minigames with no way to disable them
and you will get them almost every time with or without the sensor
    boring
    almost no sex animations
you got like 4 or something like that

only thing i liked is the visual changes each time you take a serum
and the compatibility of clothes with each change, that's it.

and the guy gets 10k plus for this...
people did much much much much much more for less.

So I tried the free version of this game because I thought it was something that focused on gameplay, customization, and maybe story.
But now I don't understand what this game is about at all, so I'm going to review the parts I do understand.

    Pros:
    • I found nothing good about this game except the premise.
    • I didn't know that, but this game uses DRM and it's basically MALWARE. But it looks like the free version doesn't have it, which is good.
    Cons:
    • Art in general is bad and there is a lack of it. It's not a focus of this game, but it's still a con.
    • I thought this game was about customization, but it turned out to be about creating body horror creature.
    • Lack of the story. Plot focus is lost, most paths are bad.
    • Unoptimized piece of shit.
    • UI is bad, confusing, buggy.
    • The main focus of this game is unclear, and it's also unclear what this game wants from the player.
I can describe this game with one word: abomination.
