Ren'Py - Bobby's Memoirs of Depravity [v0.15.53] [ZipTieFun]

I downloaded the latest version (0.15.53) the one that is supposedly a sandbox but is basically a kinetic story. What the hell did Zip do with the characters? The mother doesn't talk like a mother. The sisters don't talk or act like sisters... it's a complete DISASTER, nonsensical and unbelievable! It looks like it was written by bxIvan, a member in the fan art thread where Bob had children with them and is now the father of the family. NOTHING in this Zip game looks like real people. I don't know why people are anxious for updates. Basically all the women are whores. The mother bumps into her son in the bathroom, he takes off her towel, and she keeps talking to him without covering her breasts. I don't think Zip knows how women act. Seriously.. what sisters would put their asses in their brother's face for him to evaluate them? Not even girls who weren't his sisters would do that. Instead of asking for updates, you should ask ZIp to hire a writer.

One detail: the game file is called BadBobbySaga_MOD, the characters are the same as in Bad Bobby Saga, the house is mostly the same as in Bad Bobby Saga, but there is NO MENTION of Rainces in the credits. Zip even still uses assets from the original game, like the truck render in the world map, even though he replaced it with a Beetle in the house. It seems to me that Zip tries to omit the fact that he is not the same developer of Bad Bobby Saga so that users think it is all the same thing.

1 star just for the renders that are good.

Pretty good for an unofficial spinoff. The models are pretty close to the original with some slight difference, like the nipples being not as good.

The scenes are very hot and it preserves the dark side of the original with rape, manipulation, sleeping pills and how bobby approaches the women.

I am removing a star because progress is confusing and the quest log is not great at all. I feel like some quest are not talling the steps properly, and that some should be completed but are marked as not.
It also lists the quests with upcoming content (meaning not yet in the game) with the others. It does not help for clarity

Other than that I am just surprised at all the reviews saying the author is "rereleasing the game". No he is not, this is someone else, it's pretty obvious. Don't give a bad review for a reason you have not researched. Geez.

I really like the models.

I've played this game before. And I am very glad that someone decided to continue it. Many complain that the game is being redone, something is being deleted, I think this is normal. The main thing is that the game develops. The author is definitely good to keep it up.

And yes, add a racy mom-boss scene. With different scenarios.

The dev literally removed the content to relunch it to bring the previous content back in future updates.

Stay away from that title.
There are already too many relunches or copies of this game out there, just let it die or make it properly with better looking models and environment, better UI and proper coding.

The dev keeps reiterating the game when all people want is to progress, its infuriating supporting a game that keeps getting redone and the creator loves to go back on his word on everything and just has endless excuses that make less and less sense every time.

This game is bad, a copy of one that already exists. It's just a mod that got bigger and now tries to profit from the original. If it were the same author, I wouldn’t say anything, but it's not, and we have a major issue with IP theft. On top of that, it doesn’t even respect what made the original good. The original was one of the first games I played, and I got hooked with the whole ‘boss’ concept, the idea of pushing things to their limits. Same with the sisters. But in this one, no. They ruined the well-done NTR, and mind you, it was optional, which silenced the complainers. They've destroyed the story and even throw in ‘what if’ scenes at the beginning, like game-over super fan-service moments that, if they had been in the original, would have been completely out of place so early in the game. But since it’s just a copy of an already existing game, it's all fan service. It doesn’t deserve a cent. If it respected the original, the essence of the abusive kid and the NTR, that would be fine. But instead, it changes the original author’s vision to create this fan-service mess. One star, and that’s being generous.

The writing is really bad, both story wise and grammar. The Dev seriously needs to learn the use of I'm, I am, I'll, etc. instead of just I. You get sentences like " I so horny" and " I between her legs." It sounds pretty bad.

The MC is incredibly creepy, the kind of creepy that makes you feel like you need a shower. I do feel bad for him in that he is so short compared to all the females. I'm not sure what the Dev was thinking making him like that but it's not a good look.

This is a bad VN from top to bottom.

One of the worst ways to implement sandbox known in history of renpy games. Certain events happen only at certain time on specific days, so you need to keep time skipping to that special time slot and then you find out it's only a 1/10 repeat quest, and then if you do bite the bait, the reward is almost non- existent, you either get a kiss on the cheek or she will flash her tits or other dumb shit.

Playing this game is the equivalent of toying with cat emotions making them chase lasers; when they finally catch it, they get nothing.

That alone is deserving of 0 stars but here goes anyway:

This game is clearly not about a story, the problem is, it doesn't excel anywhere else; a 12-year-old virgin boy can think of hotter scenarios.

At least he tried in this part. There are some sounds scattered here and there.

has a lot of the classic "land lady" and "roommate" stuff and does it well. def check this out if youre into sandbox games with that type of stuff and dont mind some grind

The game is really bad and boring.
The gameplay is just too repetitive, and the energy was just removed from the OG. It is annoying to always see the same things.
The art is standard and boring, and every character looks the same after a while.
The sex scenes are not worth it.
I can´t think of any reason to play this.

I loved it all the way up until it opened into a sandbox money grinder. All the excitement died then.

Still love the genre, but the atmosphere just dies once its a sandbox of clicks and skips on repeat.

Glad the game is getting a much needed revamp and love the new Darker "game over" scenarios as well as the updated looks to Bobby and the youngest sister. Thank you Ziptiefun...

Now for the negative.

The only things that stops me from giving it full 5 star rating are the rather unhelpful walkthrough hints, the needless grind (having to skip 6-7 days to trigger a different outcome or new event, and most irritating is the lack of new content. As an artist I know that "Man I wish this had turned out better" feeling when looking at old renders or paintings, but to waste 3 updates in a row with no new content just so you could go back and redo a few scenes with better lighting or posing is kind of a slap in the face for your fans.

A poor attempt to revive a dead game, the remake has no suggestions how to progress stealth , most quest chains unfinished and almost zero content .
Remake of store to catch shoplifter you need higher stealth yet in game I see no physical way to gain it .
overall the release feel unfinished even for as little content as it does have and if you did play the original years ago you will be disappointed at lack of continuity and attempts to streamline some areas.
i would not suggest down loading until dev get it ironed out in another 6 months if it hasn't gone abandoned by then

I keep seeing this pop up in "latest" yet I completed everything in 20 mins. I may be missing some stuff but CBA with the grind tbh. At this point, I thought there would be more, it's why I stayed away for so long. Looked interesting but sick of wasting my time on games that have no content/hidden content behind a load of mindless clicking. It's 2023 people, stop using these crappy assets and MAKE A GAME

This game could have had some potential, but it is clear the dev has no idea what he is doing at this point.

The sandbox part of the game, is absolutely atrocious.
You'll basically spend the vast majority of the "game", skipping entire days or weeks, non stop, just to trigger a single event, that you'll have to redo several times, for... reasons.

The beginning of the game, before the actual real sandbox part starts, is quite ok, things progress at a decent enough pace. Once this is done, it's just grind grind grind for money, redoing the same bullshit job, catching the exact same thieves, non stop. It literally, goes nowhere.

Nothing's even close to be finished, while this game has been around for years, the progression is absolutely non-existent. If anything, it even seems to be going backward for some reason.

I'd usually only give a single star for something like this, but, the renders are pretty decent.

The English level, is absolutely atrocious, with several mistakes per sentences.

The ONLY redeeming feature, aside from the decent renders, are that the game over, are not real game over and will bring you back to the choice point. Aside from that, this game is a massive pile of shit.

perfect integration of orignal model and scenes.
nice events that are even going beyond what the original game showed.

I would give 6 stars if possible.
This game is a dream come true.

It's nice to see someone's releasing content for this game! It's long overdue. I hope you keep up the great work.

1 note: Please keep the dark stuff in there or add an optional dark patch we can download. I understand some people are overly sensitive and don't want in in their game as an option.

I'm talking about stuff like the Lucy Game over scene that was replaced with a half-conscious BJ. It made the content go from exciting to boring.

Dark stuff is what makes this version so much more entertaining than the original. Please keep it in the game or allow people to download it as optional content. "Dark Path" should have as much dark stuff as possible. If not in the vanilla game, then at least in a patch we can add.

The game is ok but the dev is as reliable as a crooked politician. Very little work, bullshit excuses and missing deadline by a mile.

Make no mistake about it, This game is ABANDONED and the dev is doing minimal effort just to avoid the abandoned tag and milk his patreon.

Seriously don't bother to waste your time on this game.

nice to see that someone picked up the storyto let it be goinig on. Respect tho ZipTieFun for bring such a nice game, back to life. I alwaysed hoped that someone with some skill woulde continue the story

I didn't play either of the most recent updates because players have to restart the game in order to see the new content in them. This game was painful to play the first time around and I'm not about to experience the pain all over again. I'm out until I see a [Completed] tag, which, at the current rate of progress, is unlikely to ever happen.

Review for Bad Bobby Saga: Dark Path v0.15.486 (part4):

Summary: Don't bother. It'll be a long time before this game is worth playing.

Story: 2/5: There really isn't any kind of a coherent story here. It's just a bunch of tangents about the lives of the various love-interests in the game.

Writing: 2/5: It's bad. Mostly "Engrish"

Renders: 3/5: The models are good, but the renders seem fuzzy and not very detailed or very high resolution.

Animations: 2/5: Jerky and way too long without being able to just skip to the end of the animation.

Gameplay: 1/5: Another insanely grindy, mind-numbingly boring, empty, and buggy sandbox. The avatars that show which characters are in each location are frequently wrong especially when there is an event at the specific time and location, which is exactly when they need to be correct. The color-coding of the choices and the avatars is frequently wrong, too. The hint system is vague, sometimes repeating quests, sometimes completely misses quests, and it gives hints to things that aren't yet implemented, so players can grind forever thinking there's more content to see when there isn't. On top of that, making money is randomized. Gameplay just sucks.

Content: 2/5: There's really not enough content in this game to bother downloading, and if you played the first two attempts at this game, you've already seen it all, anyway.

Other: I keep playing every update and I always coming to the same conclusions above. There are so many half-implemented things but there is also so much re-used content it makes me expect a bunch of things to just come together at once, but it never does. This game really hasn't been fun to play at all and if the save games ever break, there's no way in hell I'd bother starting over.
