I say the game shows promise, and I quite liked it so far. The writing is pretty good, the artstyle is nice, the character design (both visually and their personalities) hits it off pretty well. The way the gameplay segment was done is pretty seamless, and the mechanics seem solid for a first look of the demo night. My only gripes so far:
All in all, I'd say it's good, but too early in development for me to give a "proper" score, but for now I'll slap it with a 4/5 and wait 'n see how it progresses.
- The hide textbox button toggles it off, but doesn't turn it back on. You need to click to advance the text to see it again (meaning, don't click it before reading, or else you'll have to go click on the history button instead).
This coupled with the fact that some images exist only for one page, just makes me feel that it can be improved upon. - Audio balance needs adjusted. There's only a master volume setting, but some things are very quiet, some are very loud (like music). I turned it way down at the title screen, then turned it up for tutorial, then way back down the next time any music played.
- At the end of the current version, you're given a choice between two girls, each triggering their own version of a scene. Choosing BonBon will freeze the game right at the end of the scene.
I suppose this one isn't that big of an issue, as the very next textbox is just the whole "thanks for playing the current demo" stuff.
