Yes… it’s huge.
A little confused by these patch notes. Does this mean there has been a ton of content (both images and words) added to chapters 0-6 and not just new content for chapter 7? Does this mean the game still ends at the end of chapter 6 like it did previously even though the update number is 0.7? But then it says the ending of chapter 7 is also here and I thought in the roadmap it said chapter 7 would be sandbox, with new boss fights at the end of each week and I'm not seeing a ton of notes for a bunch of new bosses mentioned?

I guess what I'm asking is that, as someone who played the latest update, how much actual new content is there and is it worth playing or better to wait for next update?

Also does using the windows executable mean that it will run best like using Microsoft Edge. Been playing it on Firefox (cause who uses Microsoft Edge for anything other than installing a better web browser anyways  )

And is there a way to full screen the windows executable?

the patchnotes mean that there are 68% more images in chapter 7 than all of chapter 0 - 6 combined. So yes there's a lot of content.

It should run a lot smoother, but mostly you'll see a difference in 0.8 when animations are added. You most likely can't use firefox / chrome anymore by then as they have problems loading the animations.

This game is a big ol' waste of time. I know I was warned it was just a story game but damn I thought someone would get laid outside of dreams. My own fault. I was warned.

How do you actually get the option to stay with sora after you capture him? I have only seen that option once and don't know how i triggered it

Hey Bonds,

Latest update has been super entertaining so far. Lots of STUFF to fiddle around with. Great work!

Hardly any issues that I've found. Except this (I didn't make the little red oval, it's there on it's own.. lol)
1764657104348.png

Beyond that teeny tiny little issue, I haven't ran into any other issues.

Seems like you've finally been getting some proper sleep before dropping new content.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the great update, and congratulations on it.
But now, I resume my exploring. lol

Cheers!

Hi, I just discovered your game, it's stupendous, quite a lot of story telling, lore, stuff to tweak and choose from, and you manage quite well to give use the choice of what we're comfortable with, kudos! This being said, don't shut use firefox users out of your game, pretty please! If animation do create an issue with firefox, knowing that some other HTML games don't, maybe make it optional or not starting unless activated. Thanks.

Thanks a lot! I am not trying to lock Firefox users out of the game.

The issue is not that Firefox or Chrome refuse to play videos completely. The real problem is that both browsers automatically stop videos from autoplaying once too many of them run at the same time. Since every dialogue portrait is animated, a single scene can easily have 20 or more videos running at once. Some other browsers handle this differently, but Firefox and Chrome are very strict.

There is already an option to disable animations, so the game is fully playable without them. The alternatives are basically these two:
1. Turn off autoplay. This would break the flow of the game and the animations would not really work.
2. Add a script that forces every single video to start. This works in theory, but it slows the game down a lot and causes more issues than it fixes.

I have looked into several other approaches, but these limits come from the browsers themselves. If I find a stable way to support all animations in Firefox without hurting performance, I will add it.

I think it would be absolutely crazy from you to put something into the game a lot of people can do without (animations) and instead making it unusable on the de facto standard browsers of the vast majority of PCs.

That makes 0 sense at all.

I like this a lot but you can be certain that I am not going to install a different browser for it. And I am actually someone capabable of doing so.

Think about how many of your Userbase would actually be willing and capable to do this.

First, as I already mentioned, you can simply deactivate the animations. If you prefer to keep using Firefox, you absolutely can. The game still works fine, just without the animations.

Second, this is exactly why I also provide standalone executables for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Nobody is being forced to switch their browser if they don't want to.

Third, the majority of my subscribers have reacted extremely positively to the new animations. Even people who normally nitpick have praised how much better the game looks now. That's why I honestly don't see the downside here. If I removed all animations entirely or if Firefox users just toggle them off, the result is ultimately the same, right?

So it's not like I'm locking anyone out. I'm just offering an optional visual enhancement for those who can / want to use it.

Hmm, sorry I guess I don't understand how or what that is then. As of now with all twine or related games I just DL what is in the op and extract. Then I hit the HTML file and it starts in my set standard browser.

As I might not be the only one confused here, maybe, if your time allows, you could elaborate on this a little and explain where these executables are and how to use them with Chrome or Firefox.

Thx a lot in advance!

Hey Bonds,

Insomnia gave me.. more than ample time to do some rather rigorous testing on the new content. While not exactly a complaint, or a bug.. I must say that Thalor's skill (Seasoned Warrior) is, or at least can easily be, extremely overpowered to the point of absurdity. I'm not even a 'min-maxer' in the truest sense of the term, but.. after just an in-game week or two, I was able to pump Thalor's Physical Power and Seasoned Warrior skill sky high (stacking 'Stat Gain' on Thalor's Physical Power, 'Spread to Stats' on everything else, and slapping 'Spread to Chars' on the rest of the party - essentially funnelling as much Physical Power into Thalor as quickly as possible), to the point that I was gaining tens of thousands of stat improvements in all stats after every fight, training, boss, or dungeon attack. Stopped paying attention for a few in game days, and the bonus stacked so high that I ended up getting tens of billions in each stat. Only noticed the problem because it caused Nim's Manipulator skill to try and capture so many prisoners after a dungeon attack that it locked up my game. Had to save edit several of my stats back down, as well as set Thalor's Seasoned Warrior back down to zero so it would stop compounding on top of itself. You clearly were not kidding when you said that stats can be improved infinitely. I'm still trying to figure out what all I need to trim off my characters to make the game not feel like I can slay entire armies just by looking at them. I cut base stats way down, but those 'resonance' stat improvements are a bit more scattered/cluttered inside the save, so I still feel like a godslayer.

Not your fault. I was fiddling around and forgot to save before I asked myself, "I wonder if this would make me OP?". I'm just pointing out that the scaling on Thalor's skill scales and gets out of hand very, very quickly if someone really focuses on it.

Aside from that, I hit the current end of content (chapter 7 epilogue) a few times now. Good stuff! Only found one instance where the MC gets defaulted to being called Rylan in this update, and I think it's from older content that just sort of snuck by.. It was/is the evening event seen where Nim gives the player a bottle of.. 'milk' to slack his cum addiction. Nim calls the MC 'Rylan' in that scene, once, regardless of what the player may have named him. But, since that scene pops up so rarely, I guess I didn't notice it until now.

Beyond that, coming along great! Though, I am super curious about when I'll finally be able to get my MC full fem. Looking pretty cute already, but as an actual girl, I'd really like for 'my character' to lose the trouser salamander.. lol

Regardless, chapter 7 has been my favorite content so far. Kudos to you, and keep up the good work (just, don't forget about.. ya know.. sleep, and your own health.. XD)!

Cheers!

thanks! Yes balancing is quite an issue, with other stats as well. Good pointing out the prisoner part, so I'll have to limit them too. Regarding fully female, I think maybe with 1.0 earliest, as 0.9 will stay in chapter 8 and will mostly just add more H-scenes.
