- transcribing the word of GOD himself (years of RP and ERP experience)
- enlightening the masses to the true visage of the holy (Krita, ClipStudio, thinking of learning Blender or SFM for lighting and 3d animation once I have a better rig.

Anyway. I can't quite decide what setting I'd like more:

• Gritty high-fantasy as a mage-scout for the empress, tasked with infiltrating walled cities, sabotaging magic barriers with your unique skill to eat magic (working name: Thaumavore).
• The Boys/Worm-adjacent superhero origin story, a delinquent orphan living with foster parents, impotent to be anything of note in a world populated by superheroes and villains, absorbs an alien fragment from the sky on the way home after doing his groceries. (inspo: Parasyte, Superhuman, Venom, and Prototype).
• Porn parody version of the Spider-Man Unlimited tv show (Only half-joking for this one), where the only thing that's changed is that the High Evolutionary culled human males to a 1:10 ratio to limit human populations, oh, and symbiotes change gender on Counter-Earth for some reason. (prob best as a shorter game)

In any case, here's what I consider to be what makes for a good porn game.

• A stat system that tracks your choices and skills throughout the story.
• Multiple branching paths and large events in the story where your choices influence the outcome.
• A cast of at least 3 characters you care about enough to bang.
• Multiple ending states, for you, factions, and individual characters.

IMO without that your porn game loses that game factor and ends up being a slideshow of prose I occasionally wank to once my balls churn up enough nut again. What about you guys? Also, I think that one partner at a time and solving their problems and fucking along the way vs dominant harem protag male manipulator is the best PC alignment system to base interactions in a story. If I can't choose between paragon and renegade freely in my porn game, or you lock me out of choices because it's more difficult to code a CYOA story the game is just a really sexy powerpoint.

I also dislike having to wait 3-4 years to finish a game. I have too little time on this earth and too much pornographic content I must produce to release each month or so. I think it's only fair to write a good 70% of the story as a playable text-only game, with clear, delineated chapters, with builds including sketches/rough drafts of a chapter released to supporters, while free finished chapters get released once the art, music, and bugs have been hashed out, since most avid fans of and serial wankers (like moi) are broke .

I admit, it is difficult to think with an erection, but how do people just let devs sit on their ass while you pay monthly subscriptions.

Anyway, which PC do you guys feel like most people will resonate the most? Loyal Dog of the Empire skulking their way through foreign lands? Delinquent vigilante eager to make a name for themselves as either a Hero or a Villain? You may also suggest other settings, improvements, and what you'd like to see in a porn game.

You've been well-cummed, I see. Every game ought to have an E Z mode and a gallery of full scenes (not just images or animations). Some folks have little time and a lot of swimmers, so getting through something quick if necessary is paramount to trying most of the new, interesting stuff out there.

No RPGM - please. RenPy is good. 3D Engines, usually bad and bloated, but okay for a AA or AAA team. Fastest way to churn out content is stealing 3D models from free software and posing/animated with your other favorite free software (Blender). 2D stuff takes time, but it's almost always preferred since the art is unique and detailed. Easier on your rig, also. But you won't be belting out full scenes with any urgency.

The temptation to fuck around and do funny shit with your text and story is hard to resist. I encourage it, but remember that it's more for self-entertainment while you trudge through the nuts and bolts than it is for the entertainment of others. A porn game is, first and foremost, an offering to the Cult of Coom. He Who Shan't Coom, Will Soon Face His Doom.

See I would think that a porn game shouldn't be "hard". It should be interesting. The difficulty would be finding out which choices lead to the right endings and scenes. The game is saving characters you care about from 'Bad Endings', and getting factions, places, into the outcome you care about.

IMO, who the FUCK wants to watch sprites walk for 5 mins and fight random enemies for 20 mins when if you could just have a legitimate story game and grind-while-you wank gameplay. The enemies aren't sexy, the sprites aren't sexy, and it's difficult to translate sex into combat unless you implement some sort of forced lust system so the combat isn't sexy either. In my head a guided beat to jerk/jill to would be better. Like legitimately pace the reader's lust according to the story. Like a Cock Hero Ren'Py sounds like a good time.

All good points, and as for what's fresh out there, that's a tough one. Almost every theme has been done, and so has every fetish, but a combination of some could fill in a much-wanted niche.

I've posted a whole thread about it here in response, since I figured this intro thread is not the best place for it. Oh yeah, but as for the ones you'd like to do from the list you provided, I played the hell out of Prototype 1 and 2, so something based off that style or mechanic would be cool IMO. As long as you incorporate it well, and there's at least one dildo arm, I think it'll do okay.
