Hmm...

, by Ray Bradbury and , by William Gibson, are two must have read. The first one is 70 years old, the second 40 years old, and both describe way too accurately where our society is currently going.
As Bradbury said once, quoted from memory, "I don't write to describe the future, I write to prevent it".

He successfully failed then!
(The Martian chronicles are also a great one)

Damn now I feel guilty of recommending garbage, I should also recommend a good book.

I’ll say uuuuh One hundred years of Solitude, masterpiece of a book.
