you can mod in any version but , game prevents you from spawning NPC
You can change this in the \BoundProject\Config\DefaultInput.ini file. Open it as text and change the Sensitivity=___ values for each line containing AxisKeyName="Mouse......."

Saves of older versions you have is making crashes for environments of the newest version you running right now. Remove them and start again.
