Branded Progress Update - 10/08/2025

Hey hey all!
A few things I want to run over for this week so lets start with the actual progress update part of it all. I've been working away at the next update on various scenes and mechanics. We've got another few sprites added in for some characters important to the story which have been very fun to see implemented. You can see some of the sketches for two of these in the image for this update. Along with this I've been mostly focussed on some main story content and progressing Charlotte and Lady Redmanes content this week, which is shaping up very nicely. Both of these will be seeing some jumps in the spice levels of what's going on and it's been really fun to write. Along side this I've been working on getting the spa and bar job up and running as regular events you can do. For this I've decided to use some randomised variables to alter who will be in both of them when visit/work there to allow for a nice mix up in repeating them without it feeling like you're just skipping through the same content again and again. These events will also have larger progressions going based on the players choices and how many times they've worked there (this will be with all customers, not just the likes of Tristan and Playboy in the bar.).
Now onto what I've been dying to talk about, which is the polls from last week. First off, thank you all so much to those who voted, it's been insanely fun to watch how the results have evolved over the week and see how people play and which routes they're excited for. Starting with the poll asking who you play as or prefer playing, I was very unsurprised to see most people prefer playing Elora. But what did shock me was seeing that just under a third of players only play one of the main characters. These results will in no way alter how I'm focusing future content, Cam and Elora will both be receiving content in every update, some updates may end up more skewed towards one then another but that's just the nature of the dev and art pipeline.
As for the routes people are most looking forward too/interested in, it is very unsurprising to see that Jen stormed to the top and kept a significant lead the whole time, especially given she is easily the character I most see people saying they love. Now granted, she did get a significant amount of content in the last update which could skew things, but I genuinely think she would have won regardless. That muscle mummy energy is clearly just too strong to resist. In the next 3 spots, Charlotte, Seren and Lady Redmane were pretty even for most of the week until Seren shot ahead towards the end. I'm sure the little gremlin would overjoyed to see so many people want to see more of her. But the one that really surprised me, is Irellia taking the 5th most votes, despite getting no new content in the last update and only being in one scene in the first. I clearly greatly underestimated the power of the dommy demon goth mummy! You'll be happy to hear she was already slated for some very fun content in this next update, so you won't be waiting long to get to see much more of her. Now, looking at these results there's one thing that's very clear, the top 5 are all women, and also very flirty or more dominant women in their roles. This makes sense, people like women and it's a corruption game so the more dominant or flirty characters being more popular makes a lot of sense. It's also worth taking into account that nearly a quarter of the voters only play as Elora, and despite this a fair few Cam route characters got A LOT of votes comparatively. Another result which was very interesting to see was how many votes the "Very Pale Woman" got, despite being basically a hidden sprited character in this release. I'm going to be very intrigued to see how these votes change when this version goes public, which brings me to the last thing I want to talk about this week, the public release.
So the public release would normally drop a month after the BLT and higher tiers release, however, as a thank you for the overwhelming amount of support I've been receiving from everyone, I want to release this first update earlier as a thank you to everyone. It will only be this release that gets this treatment, but I just want to give back and say thanks for everything so far. I'll be dropping a poll for BLT tiers and higher to get an idea of how early people would be comfortable with me dropping it, as I don't want those who have paid to feel ripped off by it dropping early to the public either.
