Ren'Py - Breaking the Friend Zone [v0.1.3] [Mighty Ducks Studio's]

Gibberish.
A lot of dialog makes no sense. Characters are thrown at you without much explanation of who they are. Yes, many can be inferred, but it still just feels random. Scenes end and the next start abruptly and without transition.

From there we get into a sandbox, where nothing is labeled. You can't scroll through your notebook for quests. There is no character bios or anything.

To be entirely honest, this feels like it was written by a 12 year old, from what little I played. Or someone who has never had a conversation with another person.
MC is pathetic. And not in the "as the story progresses, he will grow and develop" sort of way.

The girls are attractive, so there's that? But honestly, does that even matter when the game is a mess, the story is non-existent, the MC is a dork, and the writing is an aimless mess?

Also, rollback is disabled. I genuinely do not think any person, ever, has played a ren'py game with rollback disabled, and thought "oh, this is an improvement!"

A generic story about a guy who is sort of a loser, hoping to get laid, or even confess love, with silly generic household and college drama, who over the course of the story wins a few ladies, and stops sucking at life, makes for a decent enough framework for a porn game. Never 5 star material, but can be worth playing.
And somehow, the dev took that, decided to throw in a sandbox, remove any NESSESARY exposition to set up the plot, and seemingly asked a middle schooler to write the plot and dialog.

How do you mess up this badly?

The only thing im gonna say, and also the most important:

Get someone who knows basic level of english, cause reading this made me actually feel good about my english. Sometimes i dont give myself enough credit, thanks to this game im feel good about myself.

Jokes aside, yes, writing is bad "thanks" to this attempt at english language.

Also scenes finish maybe a little too fast, like the dream in the train, i dont know how much of it was a dream and why the girl had that reaction.
Or for instance he is oing something, and in the next frame he is doing something totally unrelated to the previous frame with no nothing in between.

Not much to hope for in the writing and story department, but the couple of girls i have seen look good enough, average at least, so maybe the game offers uncompromising fap material (if that word actually exists, i hope)

The game is at the moment more a teaser then a game. Very short content. A lot of characters were introduced but not much interaction with them. The graphic is okay, but it needs much more content to see a nice plot. I hope the developer overwork this game and make it much better with longer game time. Anyway the game have some potential to become a good one, so I give 3 of 5 stars (it is more a credit, hope to not be disappointed in the future).

Overall, game might just have potential to be something. Renders look good, along with some of the characters as well.

Only glaring issue I have right now is the dialogue and typos, which reading through the text makes me literally bash my head against a wall.

'Have you tried other woman's'
'We should use this last night for fun'

... You see my problem and headache. Clean this up, along with some proof reading before hand and this will be a suitable game down the road, depending on the content and story as well.
