I never expected so much of my life to go by waiting for this game to complete. I'm glad I never spent a dime on it at least. I had followed this game since something like "0.6" which doesn't seem like that long ago but believe me that was all the way in 2017. You had to use collars to capture creatures back then, there was no surprise sex (which this mechanic itself has changed btw, you used to win every time by using an auto-clicker), and fluids were mandatory since the collar by itself wasn't enough. I'm not going to go through the whole history however. Just know that much of the world changed around me this past 8 years, and I changed a bunch this past years (mostly for the better I hope), while this game has done maybe at most 1 or 2 years of changes. This game is just another dream of mine that perhaps it was best it never got completed.
It's still incomplete but at least it isn't such an unoptimized piece of crap. In 2017/2018 a GT 710 and AMD A10-6700 (an awful CPU and GPU combo) was enough to run this game at like 15fps at 720p. Later I got an RX 560 which, with the A10 CPU was enough to run it at like 40fps at 1600x900 or something. I forgot. I've got way better hardware by now and so should most people hopefully, but even if they don't they're able to run this game. So "optimization" wouldn't be what I'd criticize this game for.
I'm just REALLY mad how little has changed over the past 8 years and this guy doesn't even have a funding problem. He was getting $12,000 (USD) a month all the way back when I started checking this game out, and then the raw numbers got hidden (idk if that was Patreon or his own choice) but it showed the member count which is more than 5000 members and so even if everyone was paying the bare minimum $2 a month to get access to builds (which they're not, there's higher paying members for sure considering he has a huge hall of fame list in game), he'd be getting at least $10,000 (USD) a month guaranteed for this past 8 years. This game for example had no sound effects for the first years and when we finally got sound and music it was the most generic stock music to the point even the much less funded Magic Shop 3D 2 (the one where you go in mazes and is coded in UE4 like this game is) shares the same song and that creator doesn't even get $1000 a month and he finished his small game pretty quickly in comparison and has way more scenes. There's a basic jump sound, menu sounds, some mediocre moaning during sex scenes (everyone sounds the same but pitched up or down), a couple of other miscellaneous sounds and that's it. I was more patient with him in the past because he had a couple of excuses that someone could say "well actually you should think of it as 6 years of dev time!" (which is still a lot) because he made an attempt to switch to UE5 which didn't work out and he had some health issues. I can believe and am willing to believe that. But it's 2025 and he's done almost nothing this past 2 years either. When a developer gets older and more experienced, he should be able to work smarter and produce better results.
Alright whatever. I'm done with this game. I'm writing this review and then hitting "Ignore thread". It's time for me to let go. Maybe I'll check once every year.
