A good mediocre game to kill time. Storytelling is alright and character portraits are very eye catching. Not much of a grind for stats and also there is a dog you can click on for easy stat increases and to add +100 gold to your character. Overall, a good game to play at least through once. Only downside is the art is stagnant and no animations. Would still recommend it for those who just want something to do and like basic RPG elements. My only problems are being able to do 1 opportunity per day and also how basic the scenes are.

Broke in Isekai does a few things well. The art is solid, the writing is pleasantly mediocre but entertaining, and the characters are relatively likable.

Some cons, however, that really do bring it down.

There are probably ten or so sex scenes, if even, that get reused for each female. Once you go through one or two female lead scenarios, you've seen almost all of the scenes. Plus, the dialogue during sex scenes feels very same-ey, as well. If you've read one sub/dom encounter, you've just about read them all.
The singular daily limit on advancing plots adds unnecessary padding. At the start of the game, it doesn't matter, but by midgame+ it just ends up being an annoying limit.

The final quest breaks the paramount rule of game development. Respect the player's time. For some reason, the ending of the game is decided by having to click a couple options a few dozen (if not a hundred+) times. The amount of clicking is increased just to annoy you, twice. If you don't cheat, to see this quest through will require grinding funds--- at a point in the game where you've likely done everything else the story has to offer. So at this point, any goodwill the game has fostered with the player is swiftly negated. This is quite possibly one of the worst ways to wrap up a game I've ever experienced. If it wasn't for the cheat dog (center of map), I'd have lost all interest.

But... do I recommend you play it? Yes--- If you like low effort grinding, and pixel art, this game delivers. The best the game has to offer is in the first half-hour, where you're struggling and barely surviving. It really does make you feel like you might just die or fail. Once that short window of time passes, the game turns into a collect-a-ho sim, and then an unpleasant grind.

This is a pretty good game

Good: the game is an actual game, not just a visual novel disguised as a game. The sandbox actually exists to allow you multiple ways to progress through the game, unlike some sandbox games where you only have 1 thing to do at any time and events occur in strict order. Progress through the story also unlocks gameplay benefits, not just porn for porn's sake.

Bad: the porn is just ok.

"Broke in Isekai" fails to deliver a compelling isekai experience. Weak storytelling, repetitive gameplay, and bland characters make it frustrating. The world feels empty, and choices barely matter. Disappointing.

Let me start by saying the story and the dialogue is pretty weak. Things kinda just happen quickly, and it feels like it's written in a way where it just wants to get events over with. This isn't a terrible thing as it doesn't waste your time at all, just wish it was a little better since it means characters don't have all too much personality either and they're quick to initiate sex. The art is quite decent, but unfortunately, is just still 2D images. At least you get the choice of being dom or sub/normal with all the girls, which is a nice touch.

If you're able to forgive these things like I was, you'll find a lot to like about this game. The best features of this game can be shown in the story of my character, PenisMan. PenisMan found himself isekai'd in another world one day and decided he'd try to live the best life he could. He worked as a farmhand the first couple of days of his life, sleeping in an alley at night. He quickly found himself in a deep depression, but found out soon after that, hey, drugs are really cheap! After taking a hit and suffering the effects of withdrawl, he decided to work for a drug dealer, who temped him with more drugs and made him go deeper in to addiction. He tried to go clean and work for the town guard instead, which during a gang leader bust, killed a man and got PTSD. PenisMan died a couple of days later in an alley, unable to bear the stress of knowing he'd killed a man and from crippling drug withdrawal.

    This was fucking hilarious.

Don't get me wrong, the game isn't all that hard either, I just loaded an earlier save and managed some things a little better. This game is very much a sandbox and is about the story you make from it, which is pretty rare for a game here in F95. While the game can be a bit grindy, the fast pace of the game makes it a breeze. There's also already a good chunk of content in the game. Give it a chance, claim your own rags-to-bitches story, and maybe you'll fall in love like I did.

Interesting gameplay and storylines. Possibility to choose dom or sub for H-scenes is a plus. The game is on a good start. The systems to gain skills is well thought. Art is ok. Test it for yourselves honestly, it's going to be good stuff once completed. Review made on v0.5.
