I tried this game so many times before, i needed to see, to undersand to feel why some manay still treats this like a good rpg. But everytime it has failed me miserably. altought I am very frustated by it, i will try to point all things in combat, which is the main reason about this game being shit , both positive and negativem just ot prove the majority of thigns abut this is negative.
I am going to start to what most makes this game not worthy "playing it". this games tries to foucus on an hard and realistic venture, whereencouters should be thinked more than just head straight in, but it fais miserable in doing so. For start, the progression is shit, as I do enjoy RPGs were combat takes a more stratigic way than just skills and attack this games fails to provide a simpleintroduction of what to do, the first enemies encoutered already prove to be a nuisance because of how difficult they are, makes then almost invencible on 1 to 1 (if RNG bless you with that) and if end up with 2 or 3 enemies just wait to lose so you can load your save and even when you do manage to defeats some enemy it does makes you feel it was by luck taht you crit or it missed an attack. It was not wrong to do strong enemies in the start, but it is in the way it was inplementded, were during the time that I was plaing never I felt I could have a progression ot actualy see me getting stronger even by an small amout. And this leads to another problem wich is themain character progression. The author tried to differs this game from another by making it not have a LVL system, were in theory if well made could make a good experience, but then again it was poorly made, making it almost impossible in the early 2 - 3 hours of the game to you have an significant progress, but the problem as not in the lvl system itiself but this game whole concept of combat in general. lets take an example of Fear&Hunger, where in it the character also dont have a lvl system and also takes a very long time to get resonably stronger, but in F&H the combat acuatually works better, because you can choose the fights you want (without alerting the whole stage creatures) and even when you dont, you feel that you can win these fights even if you suffer from them. but in BRR (short for Broken Reality RPG) you dont have that, you die to every enemy id you dont have luck which only makes it an suffering experience. in neither of my gameplays (3-4 with each 4-6 hours) i could like the combat, or even fight it necessary. it was most an annuisance durign gameplays were I had to only pass it. the game call itself an RPG, short for role playing game, and do while it does makes a good content in the "role playing" (the story does look like cool) it fails at being a game, so in sum the author just need to learn how to do a game before wanting to do an story because if it cant do that maybe better jsut stick to renpy VN.
