I tried this game so many times before, i needed to see, to undersand to feel why some manay still treats this like a good rpg. But everytime it has failed me miserably. altought I am very frustated by it, i will try to point all things in combat, which is the main reason about this game being shit , both positive and negativem just ot prove the majority of thigns abut this is negative.

I am going to start to what most makes this game not worthy "playing it". this games tries to foucus on an hard and realistic venture, whereencouters should be thinked more than just head straight in, but it fais miserable in doing so. For start, the progression is shit, as I do enjoy RPGs were combat takes a more stratigic way than just skills and attack this games fails to provide a simpleintroduction of what to do, the first enemies encoutered already prove to be a nuisance because of how difficult they are, makes then almost invencible on 1 to 1 (if RNG bless you with that) and if end up with 2 or 3 enemies just wait to lose so you can load your save and even when you do manage to defeats some enemy it does makes you feel it was by luck taht you crit or it missed an attack. It was not wrong to do strong enemies in the start, but it is in the way it was inplementded, were during the time that I was plaing never I felt I could have a progression ot actualy see me getting stronger even by an small amout. And this leads to another problem wich is themain character progression. The author tried to differs this game from another by making it not have a LVL system, were in theory if well made could make a good experience, but then again it was poorly made, making it almost impossible in the early 2 - 3 hours of the game to you have an significant progress, but the problem as not in the lvl system itiself but this game whole concept of combat in general. lets take an example of Fear&Hunger, where in it the character also dont have a lvl system and also takes a very long time to get resonably stronger, but in F&H the combat acuatually works better, because you can choose the fights you want (without alerting the whole stage creatures) and even when you dont, you feel that you can win these fights even if you suffer from them. but in BRR (short for Broken Reality RPG) you dont have that, you die to every enemy id you dont have luck which only makes it an suffering experience. in neither of my gameplays (3-4 with each 4-6 hours) i could like the combat, or even fight it necessary. it was most an annuisance durign gameplays were I had to only pass it. the game call itself an RPG, short for role playing game, and do while it does makes a good content in the "role playing" (the story does look like cool) it fails at being a game, so in sum the author just need to learn how to do a game before wanting to do an story because if it cant do that maybe better jsut stick to renpy VN.

    ART:
some time it look great other time it just there i guess. i like the 3 monster design in the early intro and the lady at the penthouse. But there the slave the memory lady to the north if you made it to the main city you will see what i meant.

    Mechanic:
there are some depth now and there but then there are thing that do nothing go no where and not communicate what it for. For example
in the sewer below the city there this slime boss which stun lock you till you die even in later when you has 3 party member decent lv and stat you can not defeat it.

    Originality:
remind me of other dark fantasy with weird concept and (some what) interesting story.

    Amount of content:
There are decent amount if you can even access to it... due to the bugs i had been soft lock a lot during my play time . i did try my best to see all the content even to the point i use save editor to unlock content (it not wise damage my mental heath)

    Sound:
To me poor choices of sound design nothing memorable or interesting

    BUG:
there A LOT of them scene lock , fail img load so much so i has to go into game file and change img file name in order to see and thing. though out my play time i rage quit 3 time and delete game 2 time been screen lock many time.

My conclusion: I DO NOT RECOMEND this game to other at least at it current state i really try like really really try to enjoy what it has to offer but the bugs are unbearable. Unless you like misery...

At the time of my review i play the game ver of couple of update ago so the game state may change for the better

I want to like this I really do put when it constantly crashes because files are missing, I just can't enjoy it. It really does piss me off when basic pictures without animations are missing and crash the game.

Rare RPG game with touch of realities.
This game give me same vibe with Elona except less exploitable.
Although the arts need refinement but the gameplay are good. I don't really care about the H scene.

    Review of v5
This game has the makings to be an amazing one. It's just...not quite there yet.
There's a lot of content to be sure. Sometime a little too much, and the game goes on the extreme end of open exploration. Make a guide as you go, you WILL need it to keep track of wtf does what, and the built-in quest log can only take you so far.
Content (especially sex) is locked behind having certain levels of testosterone or estrogen. Outside of cheats/save editors, the two are a bit mutually exclusive, so don't expect to be able to play a bi-/omnisexual person without cheating.
Honestly, my biggest gripe is that some of the sex doesn't have any visuals to accompany it, just fades to black and you're left staring down several textboxes detailing the act.

    Tl;dr
    The Good
    • Incredibly expansive and open-ended game with loads of customization options. Unless you use a guide and/or record each and every action you take, no two playthroughs will be exactly alike.
    • Plenty of titillation to be had
    The Bad
    • Technical jank. The game can break as soon as you step into the H-scene with the apothecary lady in the Town of Beginnings due to a missing face picture in the game folders. I had to copy and rename one of the others to make it work. Not to mention how the game sometimes visually chugs, or how the background sounds can stutter, especially when trying to run.
    • A number of H-scenes in the game go completely without visuals and just fade to black. Maybe a later version will rectify this, but for now, you have to use your imagination on a bunch of the scenes.
    The Debatable
    • So far, all the gay content I've found is the MC bottoming for other men. If you wanted homo where the MC is the top, then look elsewhere.
    • Some scenes involve characters of nonstandard aesthetics and/or species. May or may not be your thing.
    • Slightly arbitrary running stamina system. Sure, it reminds me of [game I am not allowed to mention under Rule 2] combined with the visuals and the nature of the content, but it's a pain in the bunghole when trying to get around an overly-large safe zone like the Town of Beginnings.

This is an actually good GAME and made me try out other rpg games but dint find much like this except black souls (honestly the gameplay is much more unique and better in this than black souls but the story is what carries it).
really await more updates but i know it will be years before it gets done ( dont abandon this pls)

Very interesting setting, love the eldritch influences and the worldbuilding.
I like the different paths you can take based on your customization. Very nice characterization for the companions. Kinda rough mechanically but that's more of an rpgm issue.
Altough the level design isn't confusing, adding a map would be nice, to keep track of what's left to explore or return to as you unlock more abilities etc.
    Decent voice acting, good art.
Overall good base for a nice game.

    1. Bugs plague the game, with crashes all over the place. In the discussion I gave more details on those.
    2. The game itself doesn't know what it wants to be. It tries to be an open world, but exploration is extremely slow and punishing.
    3. Random enemies go from extremely tough to extremely weak, but what never changes is they are always a plague with one weak boar alerting everyone else and making taking a few steps impossible with all the others rushing at you.
    4. Combat is extremely dull. You always end up doing the same things every fight.
    5. The RPG element is horribly implemented. You are extremely limited in what you can do based on your initial choices and there's no way to change it, locking you out of way too many things. This by itself would be fine if at least each individual role path was well fleshed out and fun, but they aren't because of how limited they all are.
    6. It has some voice acting but it's all over the place. It would honestly do better without it as it's just very poorly done.

All in all, it tries to be too many things but fails to do either right. It's not a good RPG, it's not a good eroge, it's not a good visual novel and most importantly, it's not fun

Played for about an hour and a half, knew I'd have to come over here and give it a 1-star review when I accidentally quick saved for the 5th time and actually put me head into my hands. I wish I could have given it more time, but time is finite, and I'd much rather waste it venting online than continuing to torture myself with this game.

Firstly, the game seems oddly balanced - early encounters completely wipe the floor with you, and it's not even close. I can understand characters starting out weak - it allows them to grow and gives the RPG elements a chance to shine. I do feel, however, that it's probably been taken too far in this instance. Your milage may vary.

A second minor point: the visuals are pretty inconsistent and blurry. I don't typically mind visuals in games, but this one has really noticible art-style shifts and generally looks odd. Honestly pretty typical for RPG-Maker games (especially in full-screen).

A third thing before we get into the real meat and potatoes is that the giga-brain, 60,000-IQ genius who made this game decided to make saving the game manually as annoying as possible, and bound quick-save to 'Q' and quickload to 'Q' + 'Shift'.
Who. Does. That? I mean seriously, who in the ever loving heck bounds quick-save and quick-load to the SAME GODDAMN KEY?

But the real reason I'm here is the chess minigame. It's miserable. First of all, the whole setup is kinda fail RP. Imagine, if you will, heading in to your local library, but before you can peruse the shelves, you have to pass a puzzle challenge, and if you fail you actually, literally, fucking die. In a public library.

The rules of the puzzle are pretty poorly explained and this leads to truly frustrating moments; especially when you think you understand what's going on, only for you to step on a tile, get spikes through your whole body, and really question your life choices.

The puzzle involves moving accross a chess board mid-game. The rules (as written) suggest that if you move into a tile where white can 'see', you are safe. If you move into a tile where black can 'see', you are not. Interpreting that 'vision' means where they can move is pretty straight forward. The problems arise with just about everything else.

First of all, as any chess connoisseur knows, some pieces move all diagonal and shit. Moving diagonal in RPG-Maker from a standing start is always awful, as you have to press both directions at the exact same time. If you don't, you can probably look forward to re-loading.

The problems arise in how the creator of the game interprets his puzzle hints, and how (I imagine) other people might interpret them. Take for example: Table 1. Look at the table below, and in your mind imagine which squares would be safe to stand on. Please do this before reading on.
    aa
    White PawnBlack Knight
    aa
If we were to guess, we'd have to make several assumptions to begin with. First of all, what happens when a while and black piece have 'vision' over the same tile? Which colour/shade wins out?

Fortunately for us, white wins. This means that while the black knight has 'vision' on the tile below the white pawn, we can stand there safely.

... right? Right? Uh, oh, guess you're wrong you stupid fucker! (I'm sorry, I'm very upset at this game.) While white 'vision' DOES overpower black 'vision', we have to also consider how the piece actually moves. Of course!

The reason why those tiles must not be safe is because the white pieces are moving upwards, and this is actually supported by the facing of the statues in the clues. So while the tile underneath is not safe, the tile above must be safe... right?

Wrong again bozo! The tile above is also dangerous! So at this point, I'm looking at the board, thinking to myself "I want to die", but also a lot more relevant to the issue at hand "this game sucks". I then assume that the pieces must be moving side-to-side, but a black pawn on the leftmost column dismisses that idea.

For some reason that I cannot comprehend, pawns only have 'vision' over diagonal tiles, even though in chess pawns can only move diagonally if they are attacking.

I don't know if I'm doing a good job conveying the frustration, but the whole board is like this. I've just been covering the pawn movement. For some reason bishops are extremely short sighted; a handful of the black pawns appear to be too lazy to actually bother attacking; and there is one instance that made me lose my mind, and I have to show it.
    PawnPawn
    Pawn
    PlayerPawnRook
    aa
    RookBishop
    aa
In Table 2 above, the location where the player is currently standing is marked as a danger spot, where the spikes kill you. Why? WHY? I don't understand. Is it the rook on the far right? Did it gain the ability of flight? Did they put the bishops danger tiles in the wrong place by accident? I don't know, but I'm done. I'm sorry for the novella.

After playing the old version and then the remake, I noticed significant improvements in the unique level-up and perk system, as well as the world-building and characters. I wish there was a way to recover MP besides sleeping though!!

Great game, it still lacks a lot of content but it's a big game.
I hope it will have more trap content and a good history. But for now it does the work, just give this game time and it will be one of the greats in the platform.

The game doesn't really focus on the hentai content and tries to show us the story of Psema; land of diseases, suffering, lies and illusions. The game does a great job on story telling and many other aspect such as:

    -Graphic Design
It doesn't use basic RPGMaker assets but own customs assets that all have the same drawing style/quality. Those assets makes us feel the games atmosphere.

    -Combat
It's one of the most crucial aspect of the game. It's deep, logical and challenging. It's good if you like thinking about your own build and trying to improve it. But it's hard to understand when you first try to play this game if you don't like reading.

    -Interactions
This game is full of interactable objects and NPCs that will give you quests and info about everything. You can really lose your hours talking to NPCs or finding secrets notes that deep within Psema.

    -Game Length
Each class takes about 10 hours to do everything in the game.
In my first playthrough it took me 25 hours to do only finish 80% the total content that this game offers.

There are some bad things about the game like bugs, they are not game-breaking only some minor graphical problems. Other than that lack of crafting there is not that much of good items that you can craft so the game really lacks from that aspect.

This is going to be my first review on F95Zone, so if Rutsah sees my review I want this game to improve itself and tell us the real story of Psema.

This game is worth trying if you are looking for a deep, fun to play combat and a great story that is immersing.

After having tried several times, this is simply not worth the trouble.

You're unable to fight (or win) any fights at the beginning, while I can appreciate being a beginner adventurer, being unable to survive a one on one with the first mob you encounters, is just very poor design.

The maps, while generally not being huge, are a pain in the ass, due to the game's resolution being so tiny. They're also overcrowded and overfilled with blockers, making it really fucking annoying to simply move forward.

Having checked the amount of renders available, the game is simply not worth anyone's time, and has a fap value bordering zero.

If you want to play a tiny ass resolution pixel game with poorly designed classes, combat system, and the ability to lock yourself out of actually fighting right at the start, with virtually no sex scenes, then this game is for you.

I played this game 2 time, i mean a year ago,, & now

it not changed much, but additional content & some new mechanics really uplifted it what it was.

i don't know why many people still pissed from dev, like come on dudes, don't you get bored with same things like grinding like crazy to gain exp or stuff.

There are very few games in RPG maker category who comes with deep lore with horror & graphic violence . Its not in its perfect state but it can be OG.

col system need to be balance , quest log glitches too. Lets hope dev finish this project before the reign of RPG maker gets over + people identify its real value like Fear & Hunger

    Fading soul

Well, game develops further without fixing problems from the start. Balance is trashed, economic is trashed and there are a lot of poor game design choices (like sprites for flowers that cannot be distinguished from collectable ones). The worst part is developer sees no problems at all. It is bad game and terrible porn game with questionable scenes (mostly without art at all)

This game is a mixed bag. This rating is not just based on the game as it is but also on the potential of this game. The game is actually pretty expansive and there is a lot of lore to this game, however as others have pointed out the game is quite glitchy, some of the maps could use a bit of an overhaul as routes are sometimes unneccessarily complicated, a fast travel system would be helpful. Four stars is probably a bit too high, however people should really play this game, and it has the potential to be one of the best games on this site.

    Test_player69

The gamer suffers from a lot of poor game design choices
And has several bugs and problems that will turn away most players.
So I can only give it a bad rating for now.

    - Battles are boring, not animated, unbalanced and uninspired.
    - For whatever reason the developer thought getting 0 exp from them is a good idea, making every encounter pretty much a time waste.
    - on top of that you have annoying random encounters AND signature once too, why would you take both? No idea, seems not thought out well
    - get ready to be one shot, stun locked or just stomp everything
by spamming the same overpowered skill over and over again.
    - the game tries to be so many things, but fails in execution of almost all
    - artstyle is all over the place and extremely inconsistent so is the balance
    - story is ok and could have potential, so are some features
    - to many areas, specially the forest areas are a maze like chore

    NOTE: If
you play this in the hopes of god hentai scenes, then that is silly of you,
the game barley has anything in that regard...
and the little is has is of extreme poor quality.
Just text spam and black screen, or art that is not very consistent
or appealing to the eyes. Better move on, this game only has pain for you.

2 stars I can give at most for now...
I am not surprised the Kickstarter failed on this game.
The project would have potential if done by a competent developer tho.
However, the current one seems to try to rush things
and is unwilling to adapt and overcome some obvious glaring issues.

The game has a lot of potential as a well-written RPG. I played a year ago and was blown away by the creativity. The world to explore was already quite large. Taking me days and days of gaming to reach end of content (Reminded me of vhgame's large world). And there were so many ways to play, that it does feel personalized when the writing reflects that.

As for the bad news, back when I played last, the graphics were sub-RPGmaker mostly. Though with an interesting style... The latest screenshots look like it is getting a overhaul, so hopefully it maintains the interesting style and way ups the resolution or something.

Combat seemed a major part of the game (it was with my build, though might be able to get around it? I only tried one class...) It had a steeeep difficulty at the start, though with my tendency to save-scum I went from zero to hero pretty quick. :D
I think H-scenes had great writing, though I was too focused on just enjoying the game as a RPG, and H-scenes didn't seem to be littered commonly. Things could have changed though, as I see more art is being developed...

Bottomline: tons of potential as an unrated RPG with a unique world and great writing. Will it be a great H-game? Unclear, but I still look forward to seeing it develop.

Awful game mechanics with a generic story. Its a very grindy game to reach any sort of sexual content, which is just painful to get to. The game balance is very poor and some of the decision makings are bizarre. For example having to run through starting areas because you are too weak to fight anything, why not make the player capable to fight or skip these areas entirely?

The only positive is that there are a few good ideas however they are lost in the huge mess.

    ProstoSmile

A great game with a lot of problems that largely overlap with a bunch of interesting mechanics, but only one innovation spoils everything, they took away the ability to farm experience on mobs, which used to save you from ass balance, not the one when you are interested like in DS, but how in games with bad balance.
