The semi-decent art and barely passable story do not justify the obnoxious waste of players’ time. This game is a massive disappointment, as it’s simply not fun to play. Not only do you move slowly, but the vast locations are empty of meaningful content. You’re forced to run to a random purple sign to activate a mission, only to discover—woopsie Mario, your princess is in another castle—that you can’t start it because it has prerequisites. Even activating the mission means nothing, as you must then trek across the massive map to find another location where the actual mission takes place.
If this game showed even a little respect for players’ time, I might have given it four stars. As it stands, it barely deserves a 2/5. Honestly, after uninstalling the game, I’d argue it’s closer to a 1/5.
