As much as I love DBZ related games, this developers games have never really scratched that itch for me. Still I decided to try this one to see if it would be any differnet, since Super sluts Z still had some decent animations. If you've played their earlier games, you'll probably already know what to expect from an animation standpoint, but I'll give a quick good and bad list.
Good-
Animations: Honestly, the quality of the animations isn't bad. In fact, its quite good. Although, I do still have my problems with it, which i'll go over in the cons. Still, from a basic animation level, it does look nice.
Character variety: For a short game you cover a decent assortment of characters. Including some less common ones.
Cons:
Character proportions and similar bodies: This might not be a con for some people, but for me it feels really disappointing, considering how nice the art can look at times. I feel in half the scenes, if you covered the characters face and removed clothing, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Even in the scene with both Launch and Bulma, it felt like the main difference was a slight shift in skin tone. All of them have the same sort of chests, asses, and so forth. I understand this is the artist style, so some may like it, but for me it felt a bit bland. The weird thing is, they can clearly do good bodies, the male characters are all fairly diverse, which is why I found it so bizarre.
Gamplay: WHY A STAMINA METER? That was going through my head the entire time while playing it. I understand it helps make the game longer, but I would rather finish the game ten minutes earlier, then spend ten minutes idly going up and down maps. Most of your time will be spent wandering and 'swimming' looking for balls. You will also need to shoot enemies that block your paths.
As for gameplay mechanics. Its basically gather ammo and shoot enemies. Enemies can shoot through walls and sometimes you'll get pinned by enemy fire but they do so little damage that it really isn't that hard to avoid dying. I only died once due to a saw trap pinning me against a wall and taking all of my health.
The gameplay really feels made to slow you down. Which isn't usally that bad of a thing in an rpg game. Rpgs in general are made for grinding and slow gameplay, but in this case there isn't grinding its just slowly getting through enemies until you reach a new scene.
Android 18 just being there?: Not really sure why she's even there if there wasn't a plan to have her for a scene. Thought I missed a scene at first before looking over the files and not seeing one with her.
In conclusion: I can see people liking this game. If you enjoy the art style and can get through the pretty simplistic gameplay, then you'll like it. Personally, I just didn't find myself engaged with it.
