RPGM - Completed - Cage of the Succubi [v1.02] [Ason/Kagura Games]

Sadly, I didn't like this game so much and found there to be many, many issues that spoiled my experience. I had fairly low expectations coming into this one, but even still, I was left annoyed and disappointed. The player really is punished for failure, with losing a 'sex battle' costing you points from various stats. That in turn makes the game harder and your character weaker, which then leads to a failure spiral before you just give in and start over fresh. Levelling up takes forever and never seems to actually help you in the long run, as the enemy's seem to have stats that remain fixed in line with yours. The 'normal' combat is clunky and poorly explained, with very little useful information being supplied to the player. It is also heavily reliant on quick-time events, which just pissed me off at that point. The whole game feels terribly balanced and almost designed to make the player fail repeatedly. Item drops are few and far between, and actually making use of items you find seems to be purely based on luck. Something that I ended up learning far too late was that this game needs patching, according to the developer, to make it playable at all. Then, if you do apply the patch, it corrupts your saves and means that you have to start over from the beginning. I lost almost ten hours of play because of this, and boy was I not happy about that. It made completing this game something of a grudge match between my will and this game's shitty programming. My will won, but only just, and as such, this isn't a title that I could honestly recommend to anyone other than a self-hating masochist.

Visually, this game wasn't that bad. Imagine an old skool JRPG and improve the resolution and texture quality, and you have this game pretty much. The environments were fairly well detailed and nicely varied from one to the next. The little characters looked pretty good and were all unique in their styles and appearances. The character portraits were pretty good, and I liked how the girls all looked. The sex scenes were a little basic and rather generic for this type of game, though. I did like the world objects and thought that they looked alright and were pretty clear in what they were representing. I did find that things were very much copied and pasted in some sections though, like the forest, for example, but I guess that's what you get with such a simple-looking game.

Overall, this is a game I didn't enjoy as much as I was hoping. After applying the patch and grinding, I did come to like it to a point, but without that patch, this game is just an unplayable mess.

I generally never rate games. But this is special. From my perspective it is nigh perfect femdom game including succubi. This is a must play definetely recommend it 10/10.

Pros: Simple story but without any plot holes and that is what matters.
All heroines are very attractive and charming. A Shame game does'nt dwell in it.
Not like men-hating femdom going around in western world but it aligns to femdom which aligns to us eastern people.

Cons: Not enough side content
This game would be my favourite femdom game if only it had more interactions with monster girls and and heroines and final boss. That is the bleeding weakness. Otherwise it is perfect well deserving of 5 stars from my PoV

I just played through this game to the ending. That's more praise in itself than I can give most porn games. The sex-battle system feels a bit harsh at the start, but you quickly get a hang of it and it becomes much better when you unlock more abilities. The game overall is a bit grindy and doesn't have that much content outside of the rogue-like segments, but at least the sex--system is good, and that's what all porn games should feel like.

Great game, cool premise and atmosphere, dominant succubi (as opposed to the usual, generic, boring "plz fuck me daddy uwu" types), okay writing, good combat system, cool minigames. The art is nice, but unfortunately a bit underwhelming considering the amount of scenes isn't huge. Approximately ~6 hours of gameplay. I liked it quite a bit, but be warned that if you're not playing this one for the femdom aspect, you probably won't enjoy it as much as you'd expect based on the ratings. Some drawbacks:
- As others pointed out, the "fake" animations - there was massive potential to have various animations in fuck-combat that wasn't explored.
- Minor bugs - for example at some point Kuminu offers to trade weapons for magic ore, but no matter how much you bring her, she always says that you need 3 more. Annoying, but not game-breaking, since you don't need OP gear to handle combat.
- Uneven pacing in the story - sometimes you go 40 minutes with nothing but monster grind, and sometimes huge chunk of the lore is stuffed into a single scene and you don't understand shit.

Overall 4/5 for me, but that's because I played it for succdoms in the first place - if that's not your motivation, you will probably not rate it this high.

This isn't a good game.

It has a pretty generic story, absolutely basic battle fuck mechanics, procedurally generated dungeon maps without any soul and a very spotty translation to round things up. There are only three characters of note in this game and while the loli sorceress and the maid have vaguely more depth than what it initially appears, the primary succubus is just underutilized. There's nothing amazing about the visuals either, they are for the most part stock RPG Maker assets.

All this could have made a merely average game... had the developer not taken the mindboggling decision to stuff cancerous QTE mechanics everywhere instead of designing actual interesting battle fuck abilities.

To add insult to injury the game teases you with multiple endings just to reveal at the very end that no, there's only a single half-assed ending.

A disappointment.

Good story, fun characters, hot pictures, fun gameplay.
A fair bit of challenge on the QTE, but overall a hot experience.
The art is unique, and the sound effects are great and add some good value to the hotness of the game.
One of my fav games, would play again.

This is a battle f@%k game, where you lose you get reversed. The good part is that you don't die thanks to (spoiler). The story is nice and more than a simple A to B style game, the base story and objective is there, but there is also story development given to the place where you stay. There are no battles outside of the succubi, you simply run in to the enemies until they die or you, and you get exp if you live, boring for me, but great for those who don't like turn-based combat. The succubi battles are as you may expect, you getting beat like a government mule; the game does offer a level sync option to sync the succubi to whatever level you are to make the game easier.

The minigame is a tap x directions in time to complete certain things like undressing, penetration. The timer for the minigame is very short and very annoying. I'd normally knock another 2 stars off for that, but this game is already at a 2.

Nice game, not animated. Worth a playthrough.

Great game, 8/10!
Finally an actual RPG with well written characters, good backstory and world exploration. The artstyle is average but the gameplay makes up for it. Figuring out how to survive and progress didn't take much time but was very fun process unlike your average HRPG where you kinda slam your face into keyboard and win. Highly recommend!

characters: really well done ( and kinda cute).

story: is good but a bit short.

gameplay: simple and fast (a bit grindy).

scenes (erotic ones): really hot and with a good quantity.

music: not anoying and with a nice variety.

conclussion: i play this game mindlesly for like an hour, and then i realize i was having fun. the characters are, kinda cute, and the story have a nice flow.
i already forgot 90% of the plot while i write this, but i do remember having a nice time reading it.

this game deserve your time.
