So, it appears "number of files" causes me some issues in a few ways, and im looking for means to reduce it.... for some ren'py games, all the images and animations and such are individual files. is it possible for me to package it into rpa(s) without breaking the game?

I know nothing of ren'py and am just going by various assumptions and educated guesses that this could even be an option. if this is a plausible way to reduce number of files and wont break anything, can i get a point towards the info i need to do such packaging?

Well, then it's time to read ...
I am still confused. the section that was linked indicates that it is an archive/collection, as i understood it... but i cannot tell if:

1: i can rpa/archive the images folder on an already-built and already-released game
if i can, then:
2: the game will automatically recognize the rpa as where all the images are, or similar to above, its something that has to be specified during game coding.

despite being unable to quite understand the doc linked, the words to me look like i cannot, and i just have to deal with the large number of files for games that dont package the assets :(

i'm just trying to determine if it is possible, to see if i should spend the time leaning/figuring-out how to do what i wish.... but everytime i try to search, the results are people asking about how to UNpack, not pack, or its just saying what rpa's are

If you can use python, try
Thats a great place for me to start, thank you!

i don't know python either, but with a finger pointed in that direction, i know where to start, and if i get it to work, i can test myself if what i want is achievable or not

Again, thank you!
