Hi, I've been developing a game with Ren'Py for a few months now, and I've finished the demo. The thing is, I don't want to release it on Steam until I have some feedback, and I know many of you here have experience with this Ren'Py games. The only "problem" is that the game doesn't contain any sexual content, and although I already spoke with the moderators to see if I could publish it, I decided not to in order to avoid the endless and redundant debate with users who don't want games without sexual content on the platform.
That said, I would love for you to try it and provide all kinds of feedback on anything: the renders, music, gameplay elements, choices, narrative, writing, bugs—anything at all.
The game is available for free download on my Patreon without any subscription required. I'm not sure if I can share the link without breaking any forum rules, or if this thread itself violates any, but I'll leave it here and see what the moderators say.
The game is set in a cyberpunk future with a detective theme. It’s an RPG, so there's character creation with attributes, skills, cybernetic implants, dice rolls, and choices with consequences—classic stuff.
The demo lasts just over 2 hours, has around 150,000 words, 20,000 lines of code, and approximately 900 renders.
]If anyone ends up trying it out, I’d really appreciate your feedback. And if this thread doesn’t fit the forum’s rules, feel free to close it. Cheers, everyone!
