Can't convert Japanese Ansi string code into Unicode string

Whenever i try to download, extract and run certain visual novels, this message pops up. Especially the works of Studio Pork don't seem to be working on my Laptop. It just shows the same message every time:

For the record, i have set my language locale to japanesse and the winrar files are always with "(#932) japanesse Ansi" name encoded

I am very lacking when it comes to IT knowledge. Any help is appreciated

Switched to my alt account real quick to let you know that your Japanese Locale is most likely not set up correctly.
More precisely, you should set " Language for non unicode programs " to Japanese as well:

You must be registered to see the links

Do this, and it should work. Let us know if that's not the case.

Also make sure the whole process is done while Japanese Locale is set up. That includes extracting the game and installing. If you extract the game without Japanese Locale, then set it up to run it, it'll be broken.
