I played this game a while back but can't find it now. You play as a male mercenary/adventurer and go on missions from a central hub village. For these missions you can choose an NPC whose party you will accompany to a certain map. In there the combat is not turn based and the npcs will seek out and fight enemies on their own. I think the main character might have been a kinda fat stereotype otaku looking type but i'm not sure. The game is set in medieval/fantasy setting with magic. There is also a leveling system and equipment as in a traditional rpg
