The short review: originally showed up for smut, stayed for the plot
The longer review: I genuinely had a blast with this game. I know a lot of people have a bone to pick with AI art, and there are some moments when the art feels a bit janky (mostly thinking of Jude's glasses in general), but that all aside the game is surprisingly solid. There's a lot of fun mini games that didnt feel like they were there for busy work. Choices and you background actually have an effect on the story. Without spoiling it too much, your background gives you some perspectives that you otherwise wouldnt have access to, and the decisions you make actually have a noticeable impact. I think the best part about the story for me is how it isn't just a simple "religion bad" especially since you play as a monk in a fantasy world. the story is a murder mystery and maybe you are a genius and I'm a horny idiot, but some of the surprises about some of the characters caught me off guard in a good way. I spent a lot of time making mental theories and it paid off. Now for the romances [look, I'm not writing a formatted essay here, just a love letter to the dev]. I think theyre all adorable in their own ways. They're a tiny bit cliche, but I kinda think its sweet and I enjoy it, especially since first off this story isnt done, and second, pretty much everyone's not telling you the full story. There's a trust system that you gotta build up to and even then, there's....well thats spoilers.
I dont tend to type here, infact you probably wont find any comments from me because I dont really engage too hard here, but I do genuninely recommend thisif you're willing to give it a chance.
