Unity - Completed - Captivity [v1.0.5b] [Perveloper]

This game is fantastic

The gameplay is REALLY GOOD. Weapons, consumables, dodging, enemies movement. This IS a game, not a way to get lewd content with someone interactive things. But a game that have lewd content as a plus.

Having said that, the scenes are quite good. There are a lot of enemies, And several missions, which unlock clothes and so on, If you are looking to have fun with a game, with some spicyness to it. Go on there is nothing left to think about.

TL;DR: A COD Zombies side scroller where you fight to not let the enemies rape you. Main issues are poor weapon performance, lack of progression, and poor monetary rewards



Captivity is a very strange game, and as I write this review, I'm split between two parts. On one hand, the lewd scenes are animated very well, and they're also pretty kinky, what with how your character reacts and the sounds complement them as well. You've got normalish sex (from zombies), bestiality, insex, and even some stranger things, like aliens and FNAF strange robots.

On the other hand, the game play surrounding them, while not terrible, has MAJOR flaws. The game plays like a 2D COD Zombies round: Spawn in, shoot foes, get money to buy new weapons, ammo, and items to restore HP/Strength or decrease libido. Making the pointer where you shoot is genius, and that gives you a great amount of control and precision... that is, if your guns weren't horribly inaccurate. Even the safe and secure pistol, which thanks to it's infinite ammo and permanent availability tends to have bullets wiz over the enemies head, even if they're not twitching about or moving too much. Also, I think that either money rewards are too low, or prices too high; there are some rounds you can't heal both HP and Strength, simply because the enemies did not give enough cash reward. As well, it would take several rounds of no spending just to afford a weapon that is only marginally better than your current weapon. The dodge roll you can use is quite useful, but there are no invulnerablility frames, so the second it ends, you can be grabbed and assaulted, so that's not fair in my eyes.

Progression is simple, complete achviements (like kill enemies, get gropped, get knotted, etc.) to get pieces of clothes for Subject. This actually ties into my least favorite part of this entire game: Your 1000th run and your second are idententical. The first run, you're running around searching for what's where and what works, but after that, that's it. The way I figured it's work is go in, fight and kill, get mind broken, reset to the subject room, then use money earned for what you did to then upgrade what you have (Increase HP gained by Asprin, reduce the price of ammo) or buy new weapons to start with/purchase. But no. There is no progression at all, and that sucks.

Overall, my final thoughts are that while the sex scenes can be enjoyable, the end product is a frustrating game that gets repetitive quickly, and one that, other than the occational times I want to wank to some strange material, this game is not one I will revisit often.

Wtf are the reviewers smoking??? Why is this game holding a 4.5 average rating??? I give this game a 2/5 because it's not terrible, but its gameplay is.

You fight hoards of enemies, progressively stronger with each stage, you would think that the stages are limited to some final stage and as you defeat all the enemies, you win, and proceed forward, right? Well no, a single stage runs infinitely, until you are eventually killed by the absurd amount of enemies. That's right, infinitely, you cannot win, ever.

The difficulty - it's very hard, even on normal difficulty, you use the default pistol to shoot enemies, you farm cash to hopefully buy a better gun and ammo for it, and desperately try to survive as long as possible until eventually you die.

Surely this hard gameplay would reward you for performing good in the game? Nope, once you eventually die, you lose all of the money and all of the weapons you managed to acquire in the stage you played on. All your hard work, all gone, when you play the stage again you are back to zero, with the default pistol. This is the main reason why I rate this game so low.

There are these weird achievments where you gotta grind so so hard, and when you get them, what do you get? Nothing.

Maybe the only fun way to play is to use an infinite health/ammo/stamina cheat, I haven't tried it. This shows you the horrible game design.

Ohhhh, yeah, if you load someone's save, and see what reward you get for suffering through all of these horrible stages, in the ending you just get killed. Oops, spoilers. At least let the main character earn her freedom and escape this hell she is stuck in, but no we can't have that according to the dev hahahaha.

Mash keys to escape, mash to get up, mash to shoot. Carpal Tunnel game. Eventually you get auto weapons, but even with perfect accuracy and picking up every ammo box, you will run out of ammo quick. This forces you back to single-fire pistol, even on casual difficulty. Remove the button mashing and this game instantly goes up 2 stars. I don't mind difficult games, but I don't want to develop arthritis early.

Other game design issues; The maggots are miniscule and hard to see. There are no weapon upgrades around the $1000 range. You can buy items that you can't even use.

Animation is good, but not a fan of the art-style. I like monster stuff and liked the genre variety.

Review of [v1.0.5b]

For this game, 4.4 starts(at the time of this review) is criminally underrated. Fun to play, hot scenes, different fetishes for different people and the possibility of expansion with different stages, I wish this project was taken further.
Worth playing and deserves more attention.

The gameplay is quite hard to grasp but extremely satisfying once you get how everything works, there is a lot of sex scenes, and it's quite sandboxy too, so that's a 10/10 for me. Just don't expect to play this with one hand if you're actually trying to play the game and not just to get fucked by every enemy.

If i could, i would have given this game a 2.5/5 stars.

I played like 3 hours of this game and i completely ignored the sexual content, because the gameplay is simply too fucking hard for me to be horny and enjoy myself. I dont think this would be a problem if the gameplay was good and well, for the first few hours i enjoyed playing this for its mechanics, but quickly, my vibe got killed real fast when i realised that there is no real rewards in this game. You get simple few outfits for all of that grind, for all of that sweat, doesnt seem worth tryharding.

The gameplay is self is solid, for a few hours, after those few hours, the game just becomes really repetitive. The problem is the fact that this game is a very simple shooter, with a few simple platforming mechanics, this games simplicity and the amount of grind you have to do simply dont align.

The sexual fetishes are quite tasteful, even if it is a bit annoying to get some enemies that you want, animation and art are simple, but it gets the job done.

Overall a very "meh" type of game

Actually engaging and interesting gameplay - it requires a fair amount of learning and time to get good. Satisfying gunplay and proper usage of Unity's physics despite the 2D environment. It reminds me of the better Flash games back in the 2000s.
Unfortunately, the core design of the game makes it so the above is somewhat wasted. While the initial exploration of each level in game is interesting, they're all pretty small, and once that's done you're basically stuck in an arena, grinding waves of enemies for achievements, which ultimately just ends up being tedious. Not to mention, some of them or so grindy they're nigh-impossible to achieve without cheating - like the one requiring losing (being mindbroken) a total of 100 times. It could be 10 times instead, and the achievement would be perfectly fine.
Not like the achievements are worth it in the first place - your only reward for them are cosmetic outfits (which, are, arguably, not even very visible because of the minimalistic 2D design) and an ending that's an enormous disappointment. There's not even an unlockable gallery or anything...

I strongly feel if this game was more "campaign" based where you explore long levels, instead of an "arena shooter survival" it would be engaging for a lot longer amount of time.

The, uhhhh "sex effects", I guess (?), including sound, for each unique rape scene per enemy are very well executed. I know it's going to sound weird, but the way they're animated compensates for what I thought would be an incredibly unsexy scenario - that is; a very boring, unappealing character sprite being violated.

That being said: the game's too morbid for my taste. It felt at times like I was outright playing a guro/snuff game. I realize that the game is deliberately not trying to be lighthearted, but it still felt too heavy for a porn game.

Not really my type of thing but for a shooter type game its fine, the sex could be more interesting and as things are designed your actually dis-incentivized to do sexual things for the most part, but its still a fairly nice little casual game.

IDK how people can rate this game 4-5 stars, they probably have not played a better game. I tried this out due ot its high rating only to find out its not worth it. The fetishes might be interesting but they are limited and the gameplay makes you grind for it so hard. Your rewards are just simple outfits with a slight change in color, you dont even get to improve your skills or gain more money or have anything worth your effort. This should be obvious from the amount of mods and cheats trying to make the game worthwhile, but even than the "nearly full" save could not even bother to unlock all the achievements because the developer asks you to spend the following 5 weeks only grinding the game without introducing a new game mechanic or a new scene or whatever.

The actual game is really fun and genuinely challenging. The animations are done competently and there's a lot of weirder (ie, non-human) kinks, which I enjoy and are rare enough to make this game one of the greats.

There's an underrated achievement system which was, like, pretty tough. The cosmetics you unlock for it are really hit or miss, which sucks. It's like there were bursts of inspiration but the end result was just a bit disappointing. Anyway, that all just bonus--the core of the gameplay and H-content is very strong.

Fantastic game, haven't seen anything else that combines combat and sex this well. Smooth animations, nice art-style and it's also hard as nails. Has something for everybody, from futa animatronics to giant insects. Not in development but mods are pretty great.

Actually really fun gameplay - basically COD zombies but 2d and they fuck you. Really really hard though - especially if you want to get all the achievements and escape. It's pixelated but the sexual content is well animated and there is good enough variety. The sounds are good, though the voicing could be better, and the music adds an ominous background that really brings out the horror, but could definitely be more interesting.
The story is minor, mostly setting, it is heavily stolen from tropes and franchises but it mostly works. Except the goblin area seems like a weird tone shift relative to the others. More quirky rather than the other areas which are more horror. I encountered some bugs (pun not intended) in the bug cave, some of which were fixed but some still remain - no bugs in other areas though.
Relative to most porn games I'd give this a 12/10. I was surprised by how good this game is, surpasses all expectations.

Love this game. Plenty of lewdness and a fetish for almost everybody, but I agree with what people say in that the 'end' is a bit of a copout. I feel like if they want to keep this ending maybe add a secret ending, maybe puting numbers backwards or something, would do 1 of 3 things. The girl actually leaves, a trap door opens and she is tossed into a new secret level, or trap door opens but instead of new level, it's a giant tentacle cave and she becomes a seedbed. Maybe even in the last one we see some other subjects who tried to escape.

It somewhat good. I like that there is quite a medium amount of different enemies and their abilties to attack you.

But I absolutely hate the ending, it was such a waste to grind to get it.
And it just feels like lazy writting. Legit would been a better ending if she went to a beach and drank some cocktail and screen saying, now go outside and stop jerking off.

A 2D action game where you fight off hordes of monsters and get raped when you succumb to them. I wanted to like this because I found the gameplay pretty fun and the game is well animated. However there were two issues.

1) The difficulty is absurd. On some levels I found myself in an unwinnable situation by wave 3.
2) Regular bugs. Often the game would soft lock due to a rape animation where I could continue to move my character in a locked animation, but enemies would stop moving and the game would stop progressing.

I feel like it could have been a great game but just needs more work.

The game has the worst kind of difficulty there is, where 99% of the game's difficulty leans on how bullet spongy the enemies are.
Dodging is fun, most of the weapons are fun (minus the pistol), the outfits are nice, the sex is great, but again, it's the dang bullet sponginess that ruins the whole game.

Should've really gone for a "kill or be killed, everyone (including you) goes down in very few hits" approach, rather than having you rely on reloading constantly because most enemies will take whole mags to kill, despite being in a big horde.
Also, as the waves go along, the enemies gain loads more health and damage, so what'll happen at the end of every run is that you get one or two shot, get raped, break free (hopefully), then get up, fire a couple shots, then get one-shot again, then get raped again, break free, reload, fire off two or three shots, get one shot, get raped, repeat, repeat until you're out of your willpower stat and can't recover anymore, then you get to watch a constant, unbreakable cycle of your character getting raped in the same sex animations over and over and over again until you're finally 100% down for good, the whole process taking far longer than most people's patience.
(Side note: really scummy there's a pregnancy mechanic with no actual belly expansion, you just get stuck in an odd standing pose for like 10 seconds until something just poots out of your abdominal area. I'm still not sure what the birth is actually supposed to be, TBH.)

As for the actual gameplay, it's 100% arcade-styled, the only unlocks you get are outfits and hairstyles, there's no upgrades for you to unlock or anything, and all the clothing unlocks are earned via challenges like "reach wave 30 on [map]" or "get raped [x] times without being mindbroken" or whatever, so to progress, you have to grind each level over and over again to try to fulfill those challenges, with the end goal of doing ALL of them.
Still, I guess I wish this was more of a Roguelite than an arcade shooter, that way you'd FEEL like you're actually progressing, rather than just collecting loads of clothing you're probably not going to wear.

Overall, I guess I can recommend the game to anyone that likes rape-focused games where the player themselves don't have much control over the sex scenes, or to players that like arcadey challenge games where you use your skills to go down a checklist of things the dev came up with for you to do to pad out the gameplay, I guess.

Fun game when you know how to play it. If you played call of duty zombies and lasted at least 30 rounds, you'll feel right at home here. At first it was very frustrating for me because i didn't know how to play and evade properly. My most hatred level was the jungle ( i wish you to keep your sanity when you'll get there lol). The graphics aren't what i would fap to though (that's why i gave it 4 stars). But besides that, it is a great base game and i hope the creator will continue this.

Nice. Like 2d CoD zombies but hot. One of the few games I've played that I actually enjoyed from a gameplay perspective too. Wish the developer would continue work on this though, honestly my favorite game.

Really simple yet extremely good game. It's hard, so it can be a pretty entertaining game without the porn aspect, although that's the main appeal. The sprites are not the most detailed, but the fluid animations and excellent sounds make for a really arousing experience.

The only shame is that it's been seemingly marked by the developer as finished, which is pretty much right, but that doesn't mean it would have been great to receive an update every once in a while.
