I'm pretty sure they focus entirely on the UE5 version nowhow much content is there in the UE4 build and will the UE4 build get updated by the devs at some point or they changed completely to UE5?, There website only state that there are 2 launchers one for UE4 and UE5 but no other information that i could find
The game on the UE4 engine has been abandoned, and they are focusing more on the game on the UE5 engine.how much content is there in the UE4 build and will the UE4 build get updated by the devs at some point or they changed completely to UE5?, There website only state that there are 2 launchers one for UE4 and UE5 but no other information that i could find
I wouldn't put much blame on lack of res., but rather on poor managment of said HR. Game has good foundations, if they pushed UE4 version, we'd have best porn game of our time. Instead they got distracted by moving into new engine which in itslef was almost uneding dump of reasaurces, and same as UE4 version they are adding all at once by litlle, which makes progress really slow. Would be much bettter if they focused on populating map with NPC and quests, then Add preggo mechanic to many characters, then add slavery options and so on. Right now It's a bit of a mess. You could say this is an Elder Scrolls game in mythic ancient Egypt, done by an indy team, so with a mostly empty world, because they don't have the manpower to fill it.
You can run around and do some quests. You can even have sex with some people. You can magically change your shape.
The tutorial introduces you to the world and overarching quest. It is lengthy and at the end you are freed and can transform into a proper person (and have sex).
There are factions that eventually you can have good relations with.
The world is split somewhere between Anubites (let's have orgies because orgies will magically solve all our propblems) and the inquisition of Bast (let's dom everyone who has sex and deny them orgasms, because orgasm denial will solve all our problems) and everyone in between.
I think the game is way too ambitious and will never get close to completion![]()
I feel like they straight up shouldn't have swapped to UE5, the graphical improvement isn't big enough to warrant the performance hit.I wouldn't put much blame on lack of res., but rather on poor managment of said HR. They moved to UE5 was because UE4 was no longer being supported that means any bugs in the engine wouldn't be fixed. Unreal made a new engine why would they update their old one.I feel like they straight up shouldn't have swapped to UE5, the graphical improvement isn't big enough to warrant the performance hit.
Nah they jumped onto UE5 because its trendy not because of UE4 no longer being supported. Stellar Blade released with Unreal engine 4 with no issues. UE5 is a crappy engine that so many devs keep jumping onto despite all the issues that come with the engine. Most PC gamers have finally woken up and started to admit how annoying UE5 is.They moved to UE5 was because UE4 was no longer being supported that means any bugs in the engine wouldn't be fixed. Ok I just looked it up we're both right UE5 has major bugs but UE4 has them as well. The bugs for UE5 cause the games that use it to stutter a lot meanwhile UE4 makes it hard to make thing work i.e coding won't work cause of xyz.Nah they jumped onto UE5 because its trendy not because of UE4 no longer being supported. I fully agree with the points and as much as I'd like to say that Stellar Blade is a good example of a game fully utilising UE4 and still looking as good as a UE5 game WHILST still giving you 100fps on the oldest potato... Sadly Stellar Blade had a much larger team than the average porn game dev team so I can't say that's a good example in most cases.Ok I just looked it up we're both right UE5 has major bugs but UE4 has them as well. It also had a lot more money tossed into it.I fully agree with the points and as much as I'd like to say that Stellar Blade is a good example of a game fully utilising UE4 and still looking as good as a UE5 game WHILST still giving you 100fps on the oldest potato... With all that I'd still prefer the game to just run in UE4 and look a bit worse because the performance hit UE5 gives is major. At the same time Carnal Instinct might have been much further in the development process now if they'd stick to UE4.
Have they said anything about updating the engine to 5.6? I've seen huge performance improvements on other projects that updated to 5.6.
They generally don't say they're doing that in advance. If they've done it, it'll just show up in the update post itself.Have they said anything about updating the engine to 5.6? I've seen huge performance improvements on other projects that updated to 5.6.
I mean, they've been so proud switching to UE5 and telling each time they've updated it, lmao. They generally don't say they're doing that in advance. If they've done it, it'll just show up in the update post itself.
I'm pretty sure that updating to UE 5.6, if done by this particular dev team, will bring another crucial deterioration in performance.Have they said anything about updating the engine to 5.6? I've seen huge performance improvements on other projects that updated to 5.6.
Don't forget about content degradation. How long is it in production? 7-8 years? And still pre alphaI'm pretty sure that updating to UE 5.6, if done by this particular dev team, will bring another crucial deterioration in performance.![]()
Almost five, and pre-alpha is unfortunately an accurate descriptor because somehow they still haven't finished designing the planned mechanics.Don't forget about content degradation. How long is it in production? 7-8 years? And still pre alpha
