Carnal Instinct Won't Update

So i donwloaded this game through F95 zone, and I liked the game so eventually I bought it through Steam for ease of updates. I noticed though, even though every trace of the download/zip file I got through F95 has been deleted from my computer, the game is stuck in the version I had downloaded a year or so ago, even though it's updated through Steam. Has anyone run into this/have any advice? Thank you!

Have you run through steams trouble shooting yet? cleared download cache, uninstalled reinstalled? made sure it's on the same drive as steam? changed the download method to only update on game launch? etc.
