VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Catch the Bunny [v0.11] [Carrots]

Simply a great game. The art is unique and the team is wonderful. What writing issues exist are due to language barrier of the lead writer is becoming less aperient with each update. The story and character writing is engagine and interesting.

The best at the beginning: the game has a beautiful 2d graphic. I really do like this unique style. The plot develop slowly and natural forward. This game is not a fap game. A little bit more choices would make the plot better from my point of view. At the moment the game is a bit short, but I looking forward to see many more updates. Because of the graphic I give 5 of 5 stars, but I hope to see more story in the future....

The art work saved this VN. That's about all that did.
Writing needs lots of help
MC is yet another spineless character. There is one single instance where he surprisingly has a spine, but it's gone just as fast
I've seen this story used in several other VNs, and it's just old now.
I'll have to give this a hard pass for future updates.

Art is really good. Really like the step sister and her friend.


Story idea is ok. Pretty novel set up for the stepcest setup. Nothing ringing alarm bells like sleep rape in the playthrough I did.

But the writing really needs tightening up, it shows very heavily that English is not their native language. Also, I hope the choices start to branch out a little bit.

Man...I want to rate higher, but that'd be lying. I love the fact that it's hand drawn, and the art is rather charming, but the writing...holy shit the writing is so bad. Please, please consider getting a native speaker on your team and have them re-write your initial ideas into something more cohesive. It ruins all immersion when it sounds like I'm reading Google Translate.

This is a promising game. The art is very good. If the developer can introduce some fun mechanics, this can be a very good game. I only hope that the blackmail path don't degenerate in other in other "masochistic" path. A blackmail is when the other person is forced to do things they don't want to do. If she like it, is not a blackmail.

Very good so far, can definitely see a good future on this game. matches my time of game. Hopefully this developer can continue on this work for a long time. has a good hint of blackmail. possibly in my opinion should have more actions between a sexual intercourse as I personally felt a certain scene was too quick.

Not a whole lot in the game just yet, but the art style looks great and it shows a good amount of promise. I look forwards to seeing where the developer takes this. Best of luck in what appears to be their first foray into making games!

The dialogue is really rough and feels unnatural.
"You can ruin our parents homeymoon by hanging out with a friend..." Who DA FUCK SAYS THAT?!
I've NEVER seen an older sibling be all like- stopping a younger sibling from going out because mom said so (who's not even there). Nooooo, she's not a child. Sink or swim bitch. You don't stop them! And if they DO get caught, they're on their own. If they get in trouble, then you have the power to rat on them or blackmail.

I am a stickler for character design (so you can take this with a grain of salt).
As an artist, I get it, I understand that drawing outside your comfort zone is hard, but I also think it's extremely important to have different body types.
If you did a silhouette test on these characters, you would think it's the same lady, but trying on different clothes (and styling her hair different).

This is a good and promising start. The artwork is beautiful but I see this will be not for everyone. Story is simple but got me engaged. Not much lewdness yet but I liked the few scene wich I found. I'm looking forward to next updates in the future.

Seeing the art, I thought that this was going to be a really good game, but after playing it (kind of a demo right now), I think is not, since the writing is terrible.
The MC is a college guy that has to take care of his new stepsister, a teen girl that he doesn't know because his father married the mother of hers just a few days ago, and now they are in their honeymoon. Well, that's OK. It's not a new or imaginative premise, but it's OK.
Apparently there are two paths:
- The rapist path: you have a couple of banal conversations with the girl, and out of the blue you blackmail her to give you a blowjob. No progression in the corruption of the female character, not a warning that you are playing as an asshole, just "I know you for half an hour, you are my step-sister, you are underage, but I order you to give me a blowjob, or else" "OK, I´ll give you a blowjob".
- The submissive path: you are a spineless guy that allows the teen girl to start dressing and behaving as a slut wannabe and do what she wants, even if that is going to bring you problems with your father and her mother since you are responsible of her.
And all that, again, just in a couple of scenes of dialogue.
It´s sad that, 90% of the times, in this kind of erotic games, when there is good art, the writing is bad, and when there is (kind of) good writing, the art is bad.

PD. In the new version, V.0.2, the have change a some choices, so at least you know better the kind of path you are playing. The scene of the blowjob is now kind of a "dream" or something that is actually out of the plot. That´s a good thing. Let's see if I there are more improvements in the future and I can change my review to a more favorable one.
