I really enjoyed that game and would recommend it, though I understand not everyone will like it.

I have no problem with using AI to make nice CGs when it's not just a way to quickly make a crappy game, and thankfully this is not the case here.

The gameplay is fun, strangely addictive, and well balanced. Almost every combination of characters can make a viable team, which allows you to choose your characters that suit your taste without ruining your experience. It also compensates for the RNG, no matter which cards you get you can make do with it.
The game is generous in its rewards, since every dungeon run will grant you cards, xp and possibly new girls, so I never felt I really had to grind. The few times I needed to (mainly to get the last common cards of each girl) it felt more like a challenge, and you can make some strategic choices to increase your odds.
The abilities of the girls (both their base ones and the ones they acquire through cards) are well thought and tend to match their personality/story in their anime. Unlocking new characters is always fun, even those you weren't looking forward to.
I talk a lot about the gameplay, because it shows the author did put a great deal of work to make it an interesting game, which is already much better than 90% of the generic CG-based games out there.

Visually speaking, the cards CGs are very nice, the sex CGs are well done but less originals.
There's a great number of various characters, and seing as we can get Mikoto, Lucy, Kallen (and even a bonus Suguha) means we're facing a man with good taste.
I won't comment on the horrific voices, but the music is ok and suits the pace of the game.

I however have two main complains about this game:
    - First, despite the effort put in the gameplay, a good part of the game seems lazy and unpolished.
I don't mind the lack of story, but giving all the characters the exact same lines? Wether it is when you recruit them, in the onsen or in the sex scenes, there is no difference between the girls. Players will come to this game to get their favorite girls, at least give us 2 or 3 personality archetype. Yor and Asuka aren't supposed to speak in the same way.
Same thing goes with the sex CGs. There's no doubt in my mind that the dev used the same prompt for almost every girls, as the scenes are really similar. There are a few variations (Chika has some original poses for instance) but most of the time unlocking the scenes for a girl felt like getting the same scene as before, just with a different character. It feels way to lazy considering these are AI-base images. Have bondage scenes for Darkness, let Robin use her multiple arms, give Mikoto some static... or at least give us a bit more positions.
-Second, the paywall. I was tempted to give the game 3 stars because of it, because this type of game is good as a fan work, but if you want to make it worth paying for then I will ask more than this (a story, better CGs, better sound design, better personalities and progression with the girls, more activities...)

All in all it's a really good game, reminding me of some other old, humble, fan-made games where you can gather and fuck your favorite anime girls.

The game is alright, all things considered. It's a dungeon crawler with elements of auto-battle (enemy combat a bit too fast paced) with special abilities activated manually.

Story is nonexistent, and the music and sound are horrendous, especially the "yogurt" voices, turning audio off before starting is a must.

The gameplay is considerably addicting with the grind compared to their other games. It can carry the game pretty far, but feels like it needs something else to spice it up a bit. The dungeons feel repetitive after a while.

In the H scenes are varied and uncensored AI images of very good quality, but having some animations could have improved this aspect.

Gets 3 stars in my books for:
Pros - decent gameplay, good AI H images which offers a decent 2-3h entertainment.
Cons - Horrible audio, no animations, repetitive gameplay (for completionists) and lots of grind (for stats increase).

    Chara Upgrades [1.03]

The game is ok, the game lasts around 2 hours assuming you are not looking to unlock all the scenes of each girl, which I don't recommend because of how it is to obtain the images (which involves a lot of randomness), taking into account this duration, I find it a pretty entertaining game.

I must also say that the story is nonexistent, and the music and sound are horrendous, especially the voices, for that, the truth, it would have been better not to have put anything.

In the H section, there is a huge amount of very varied and uncensored images and, to be AI, of very good quality, but it is true that the sound of the voices detracts a lot, and having some animation could have improved this aspect.

For games with AI generated images, this game is an acceptable option, so I recommend trying it.

    I give this game a 6.8 out of 10.

It's an ok game all things considered. The combat is a bit too fast paced for my liking, but slowing things down would ruin the experience. And being able to make decisions quickly is important to get to high levels in the dungeons.

My main complaint is that the gameplay experience itself is built around, and limited by, the AI content. Rather than using AI images to "fill in the gaps", the AI images where intended to be the content itself, then with the game based around it. So you get a serious of largely disconnected images based on popular characters. With no story connecting the images, and the images themselves being given out at random. And while mindless fun is mindless fun.... you're not going to get a high rating for it unless it's truly exceptional. Which this is not.

Chara Upgrades is a game that doesn't really have a common genre? I guess it's a dungeon crawler with elements of auto-battle if I had to try to describe it. It's fairy unique.

The game loop is fairly engaging. You grab "cards" which are basically character upgrades which also determine which characters you have in your run. Each card you get can be made permanent if you gain enough relation points with the girl in question once you've gotten the card once. You also gain exp which gives you other global upgrades.

The good game loop is basically the only upside though. The girls are lewd icons, but they have no personality or even much in the way of differentiation between each other so are functionally pointless. The porn is a single image for each card with a single image for each one you make permanent. The story exists but exists only to establish the game. It all feels massively bolted on and pointless.

Decent gameplay can carry a game pretty far, but this one really needed something else. It could have been better porn, a better story or better implementation of girls, but this game has none of those. I guess it makes sense when you consider that the game play was the only thing in the game that was actually developed.

I've played most of kk2oven's games through the times. Since I much prefer my porn games being animated, I liked kk2oven's older games when they used koikatsu (Specially Anime Spa :p). I have been trying out their games using AI Gen pics, some are ok, and some are meh, but this one stands out the most for me.

The gameplay in this one is considerably more "addicting" with the grind compared to their other games. Mainly it's probably because I like the dungeon hopping gameplay in general, but what I've played so far, It kept me engaged longer than what I intentioned.

The Ai quality in this has considerably gone up since their past games, though the way you attain these pictures is mainly luck based which gets pretty annoying the more you play it.

Like the others said, I'm not really a big fan of needing a code to get access to 80% of other nsfw content. But If it wasn't for the others giving out the patreon premium codes to kk2oven's games in f95, I would most likely be avoiding their games.

I rarely write reviews, but kk2 this game has gotten something out of me. I just hope kk2oven can make better games in the upcoming years, something that could hit me like the same way like their older games did before.

Finally, its AI art in a somewhat engaging game system. There is enough here to draw me in for a while and I appreciate that the art actually fits the gameplay and its not just a game that is secretly a glorified gallery. Technically there is a game here and the variety of girls gives it replayability. More like this please!!

Ai looks good in this but the scenes leave a ton to be desired. It's basically just still image unlocks with no dialogue to speak of. Need immersion in muh hentai. Not rating it 1 star because at least it looks nice.
