Chrome Lifelines [ Ch 1 Part 2 ] Review by Tauro Thurius

Here's my take on Chapter 1 Part 2 version:

As you can imagine the game shares lots of similarities to a certain franchise. In fact we see a cute little reference to it during the first few seconds of the game. Prologue is well written, sweet and brief. It provides a good chunk of information on the setting. I will not provide much information about the storyline because I'd rather not spoil it for you all, but I can safely say that it's not mind boggling as the early version simply is a prologue in my humble opinion. It has couple of interesting moments but you should consider this version as an introductory to characters, and story building.
Characters seem like the strong suit of this title. I don't remember getting warmed up to characters that quickly ( I'm talking about you, Elle ). Some of them seem quite interesting and I think it is not easy to spark the curiosity of a player at such short notice. I'm kind of neutral when it comes to the MC, as in my opinion some of the interactions of him with Tony seems a bit dull. Girls are hot and I'm sure you all will love them. Characters have cybernetics and they look quite realistic when you compare it to the certain game that this title has inspired of.
Music is fantastic and feels very fitting to the setting. I'm pretty sure I've never heard of any of the tracks in other games before, so it felt quite refreshing to hear new tracks in an AVN.
Renders are OK. Some of them feel a bit off in terms of coloring but most of them are top quality in my humble opinion.
Choices do matter in this game, even in the Chapter 1 version of it. As of Chapter 1 Part 2 version of the game you can get two different chapter endings depending of your choices. You get to see a review of your choices at the end of the chapter just like in some popular titles ( e.g. BaDIK ).

A refreshing change of pace and an original story-line that has me wanting more.!!

I am impressed with the way the writer weaves all of the characters into a nice series of interactions where the world feels like a much smaller place than it really is. The choices do not get in the way of the story progression and seem to make sense when they do pop up. I look forward to seeing the next chapter of this story and hope that the developer can see it through to the end. If you feel that there aren't enough "choices" in the story, stop, start all over and take your time with the story. You will see that you really do not need the choices. The story is a great read all by itself.

From an appearance standpoint, the game is dazzling with alot of bright colors, shadows and peripheral environments that pull you into the story and gives the feeling that the world really could exist in the future. There are areas where the developer could improve the renders. The character renders are inconsistent at times. There are instances where some characters have great detail and others where some of them lack the detail they need compared to the rest. Despite some of the little things though, the game gives you plenty of eye candy and things to look at beyond just the characters themselves. The developer has gone to alot of trouble to make the world seem real and alive. If you don not take your time, you will miss alot of really cool things that make this story a gem.

The script and character dialogue are very good. I saw only a few typos or mis-spoken chains of dialog. Missing words, or words used out of context and other annoying translation issues were minimal. The script itself is very good. Each character has its own unique personality that matches the flow of the story and I never felt like there was a character that just didn't match the person on screen. The story is serious, but at the same time there is just enough humor and out of place interaction to make it feel real and human.

Going forward, it would be really cool to see some sort of stat screen that would allow the player to gauge the MC and his character traits. Having something simple would help players to mold the game a little more towards their own vision for the MC without having any impact on the story itself.

This story gets 5 stars from me! It's original, fresh and it shows what a developer can do when they think out of the box and throw all of the usual tropes in the garbage.

Review for Ch 1 Part 2

Based of the first chapter alone, this is already truly top notch. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

It's immediately obvious that this is VERY inspired by Cyberpunk among a few other things. I was honestly ready to write it off as an average knockoff at first, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The Cyberpunk aesthetic has been nailed. Sound design, models, the environments, etc, everything is actually incredibly well done for how far most AVNs go on this site. It feels like this could be an actual (good) spin-off from the game.

Ignoring the inspiration it takes, this is still very well done on its own. Renders are great, it has animations and surprisingly well done action scenes, characters feel unique and like actual people instead of brainless robots (besides the actual brainless robots within the game), and choices seem like they actually matter for once. Above all, the writing is just very solid so far. Both in story and in dialogue.

I could probably go into a lot of detail on all the little things I liked about this so far, but honestly it doesn't need to be said. This game is simply good, play it if it caught your interest. This is something I'm going to be eagerly awaiting more of. I'm impressed, truly.

I already liked the look of the game and then you had to go and make Dante (the Tony name was a dead give away) my best friend??? I am here for it!!

Being a Cyberpunk 2077 fan I love the look of the game and the atmosphere is just right. The characters are interesting and their models are beautiful so I am looking forward to where this all goes. I enjoyed the action sequences as well so this only enhances what I like about the VN.

Again the fact Tony's design and name (Dante's alias) is based off Dante (DMC) is huge plus for me. I look forward to exploring the madness that will occur in Retropolis and the bonds that the MC will enhance and make during the process.

This VN is heavily inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 and it is happy to brodacast that fact. That inspiration isn't a bad thing though. I did not think a VN could get so close to the look and feel of Cyberpunk 2077, but this one gets pretty damn close. Everything looks super glowy and slick, just like in CP2077 and the characters feel like they could be in that game.

The characters look unique, and for an initial release/demo, it has left me intrigued. The VN overall seems like it has great potential, so I'm looking forward to future releases.

Wow this game is really done very professional and the style of course is somehow copied from Cyberpunk 2077 but i just love this refreshing setting.
I really hope the game continues . Story is great, renderings and animations too. Really a very good and enjoyable piece of work. Great characters and story also.

Finished the version where Ch.1 is finished and its a Fucking great game!
The sound effects, the music, the renders, the animations, the characters, the setting. Everything just feels as a whole.
I gonna be honest, there are a handful of VN im thirsty looking for updates and this is one of them.

While to the ch.1 the game plays more or less like a kinetic novel but you already started to make decisions which will impact how characters will act towards you later on.

Game has no fuckery in it, and for me the most import part -> Harem.
While im looking for sex scenes like everyone here else, im also very interested in the story the game is going and their characters. Build up is important and it seems the game has a good balance between sex and story.
CD Project Red, this could have been you !

The characters are interesting, the renders look very good, the setting is very good and the story seems decent. The 2 problems that i felt with this was though were, first, that the story progression/pacing was kinda bad and confusing. The story at the beginning was jumping between the past and the present a lot and without any ques and that was a bit confusing (partially cause i had played the prologue a long time back and i cannot find an Android version for it now). The second problem was the sex scene. The animations were bad and it kinda made no sense. It could've been a hundred times better if instead it was just some still images with actual foreplay and dialogue and stuff. Also the dev can just include the prologue with the current version

Phenomenal start. Loved how the dev really embraced the cyberpunk theme. Not a satire of the game but the two really mirror but not in an annoying way. It has its own unique story to tell and although there almost no sexual content so far I was quite engaged with the story and the characters.

Game reminds me of city of broken dreamers but with more cyberpunk elements. Also like how every character and individual is different and has their own unique personality. Game is more stry heavy which i like for AVN's in general

    Story so far:10
    Renders:8
    Animations:7
    Characters:10

Gonna be keeping my eye on this one, and definitely gonna subscribe to their patreon

This a truly inspired game. The setting is fantastic. Dialogue is generally enjoyable. Models and graphics are gorgeous. Dev has an ambitious story to tell, and has used the time in the prologue and chapter 1 thusfar to set the stage to unfold. Absolutely worth your time to look at this and support the dev if you are in position to do so!

The game looks good, the girls are cute and the setting is very good, the story flows and is hooking me, what I really didn't like was the erotic scenes are short and with almost no dialogue or random porn, it's also so dumb I felt many times that you were a secondary and that Tony was the real protagonist, that bothered me a lot, but in the same way I will continue to keep an eye on him, perhaps later with more updates, he improves.

Good cyberpunk themed game. Excellent renders and sound effects. Story plot is good too. That being said it's been 8 months since the prologue and there is no update. Dev posted about game last on September on patreon. Well seems like game is abandoned. I don't know hoping it is not abandoned. Game got potential to become another top game in this genre. Hoing dev will continue his work. Prologue is worth playing amd there is fair amount of gameplay for prologue.

We don't have many cyberpunk themed game. And this one is worth playing so give it a try guys.

    Prologue remake

Glad to see it is not abandoned. Well a prologue remake well previous prologue is also nice that being said this prologue is a blast. Absolutely loved it some got to see some badass characters which are not in the previous version. Yep Dev did a good thing with the remake. Waiting for ch1. Keep up the good work dev. This one is absolutely worth playing. For now it's kinetical but Dev said choices will be added in the next update. As long as the story is I'm ok with the kinetical plot

Just played the prologue and I can only say great work.
The game is clearly influenced by cyberpunk 2077 which isn't a bad thing.
It has its own stories and characters, also sentient androids
like other classics of the genre.
The story starts very well, only the prologue and already catches you and leaves you wanting more.
Renders are really good for a new dev, clean and detailed pics.
There is some sex but it's still too soon to say much about it, I can't wait to see what the dev has in store for us.
