What I find more problematic is the fact that the game crashed when the connection got blocked, as far as I tested the game should work well in offline-mode.I never let unity games connect to internet (exactly because I'm aware unity is always spying) so don't think it's unity doing. Unless there is some fuckery in i.e. new version of engine crashes when firewall is active so more games will start doing this soon.
I'll look more into the crash issue for sure.
While for the network connection issue I don't think I can do much as a dev... Unity always had suspicious practices when it comes to privacy, reason why they got so confident in the recent "charge per install" controversy.
