Dev Update #49
Almost there! A couple days behind where I wanted to be at, but that shouldn't be a big issue.
This week was a lot of complex animations, along with redoing a couple I was not happy with. As for renders I feel I am basically done apart for maybe a few pickup shots. The rest was writing writing writing. I have 2 scenes left to get the dialogue into, and just a couple more animations. After that is finalizing the build and sending to proof.
I was hopeful last week that it would have been ready for tomorrow, but looking more like Tuesday, maybe Wednesday. After that we need to them proof and test until they are ready. The release can happen once that is all done. So, barring anything crazy the release will be this month. I will begin the next chapter along with the monthly custom renders while the current version is being tested.
This update easily had the most work put into it out of all of them so far, so I hope you guys enjoy it. Around 830 renders which should not change much, 53 animations and expect a couple more, and the script for this one is large.
Can't wait to get this one out there for you guys.

It should be considering what I consider the best animations from any game I think the majority of users would agree with that it's quite the head-scratcher that it's not on the first page.

Not only the animations - I'd be willing to die on the it's the best thing on here period hill. But I do realize that others have varying tastes. It is indeed unfathomable that it is not at least on the first page however.
Considering the popularity of anything that hints at incest I suppose I'm not too surprised. Disappointed? Hell yes! But not surprised. Unless there's a major revelation coming about Chandra.
It would be nice if well constructed (written, rendered, animated) games were on top and the poorly constructed incest fuck fests weren't. Maybe that trend will change eventually, all I can do is hope.

This game is not quite mainstream (I actually had a brief chat with MacMan-88 on this on Discord, where the hell is he and Canto Forte ?)
There's some complex themes here, politics, persecution etc. like BladeRunner or District 9 and much like them these tend to have strong cult followings but not big box office compared to mindless fare.
Most people would agree that BladeRunner and District 9 are far superior sci-fi movies than Independence Day or Transformers, yet the latter two crushes the former in Box Office.

I didn't even knew they had a "new" game lol... Seems like i missed out a lot. I loved depraved awaking and it's easily one of my favorite vn's. Is this game close to where depraved awaking was? In terms of awesomeness that is.
Not even close to what DA was. DA was kindergarten compared to this PhD degree.
And by the way it's not "they". PhillyGames is a solo act.

Personally I think this one is a step up on DA. You can see improvement in basically every major facet of the game - writing, characters, renders, animations, music, overall production value, etc. The setting/subject matter isn't to some people's tastes but I don't think that's enough of a factor to pass without trying it. I know it's clear from what I said earlier that I would recommend everyone play this game, but if you liked DA then I think you definitely need to at least give this one a go.

You need to cultivate a seriously nerdy persona.
