VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Clara Bittersweet Day [v1.0] [JustXThings]

Short but good. The main character is a complete degenerate, and I love her for it. Most of the scenes are really spicy, and the story is pretty decent. My biggest complaint was that for as short as it was many of the paths led to similar endings with very little difference. It's not really worth unlocking them all.

Incredibly hot... To the one who enjoy this theme. Just way too short. Good graphics, narrative and a nice storytelling. Again just a little too quick to go through and unfortunately abandoned. Check out Theatre of Sinner as well from the same author.

Clara Bittersweet Day [v1.0]

I’m kinda torn on giving this VN more than three stars. It could have been a five-star piece of art, but several weak spots hold it back.

First off, it’s just too short - barely more than 20 minutes for a first run. Even if you count the extra "skip" playthroughs to unlock all endings, you’ll be done in maybe 40 minutes total. Sadly, those endings don’t add much new or exciting. They’re slightly different, sure, but all of them feel flat and rushed.

Right at the start, a side plot gets introduced. You’ll see bits of it pop up twice more in most playthroughs, but you’re left scratching your head trying to figure out how it actually connects to the main story or the heroine. It could have added some nice depth to the narrative, but in the end it just leaves a big question mark about what it was even there for.

The visuals are decent - a bit dated, but considering the VN’s already three years old, that’s fine. There’s only one actual animation (and no, not a sex scene), while the erotic parts are made up of still images played in sequence. About half of those scenes work fine if you let your imagination do a bit of the heavy lifting. The other half feel too short or just not explicit enough - you’ll wish there was a bit more visual material to enjoy.

There are three instrumental tracks, all used during the side-story parts. No sound effects at all.

The English is fine, nothing to complain about. Storytelling, though, is a bit weak, and there’s basically zero character development - which isn’t surprising given how short the whole thing is.

Fans of incest, ugly-bastard, or blackmail/harassment kinks will find a bit of mental snack here, but that’s about it.

Still, since it only takes around 20 minutes to read through, it’s worth checking out. There’s definitely much worse stuff on this site.

Great concept, many paths with different endings. The quality of renders are very good with it's own style. The dialogues are believable, characters speak with normal language, without long monologues and strange phrases. The main character is great, the facial expressions are superb, all those lips bites, eyes rolled.... Yeah, the game is short but keeps you excited from first minutes to last. Highly recommend!

Short visual novel with a couple of branching decisions, but not much variance. The story is ok, pretty focussed on father/daughter incest and alternative ugly bastard sex - neither really my thing but the BDSM undertones keep me interested. The art is nice enough and it runs smoothly. Overally I'd say it's fine but not very ambitious - there's a whole sub-plot with an underground lab that is teased and never goes anywhere. I could be interested in more of this developer's work if it had more depth.

We're dealing with an S-tier fucked up game among the fucked up AVN tierlist. This game includes everything from rape, a girl's psychological breakdown, elements of sadism, and journeys into deep psychological states, and much more. I won't go deep into the story, just read the description but know that we play as female main character (FMC). It’s really a fucked-up game, the story is genuinely good and could be considered a masterpiece, though it varies from person to person. The adult content is quite sufficient and well-done. My advice? If you're not going through a sensitive phase in your life, don't have any kind of PTSD or similar traumatic experiences (because this kind of game can have heavy impacts on your PTSD), and if your dark kinks aligns with any of the game’s fetishes, definitely give it a play. This is one of the games which i just don't talk much and just recommend it.

A very good game. Clear in its style and the niche it's aiming for. Short but with enough different ending possibilities to be worthwhile.

Some scenes, especially some of the endings, feel rushed and incomplete, but other than that it's solid.

It's pretty interesting and there is a lot of replay value because of the amount of choices you can make that effect the ending of the story. It's not very long to go through the entire and leaves me with wanting more.

The art is passable, but the script is too "straightforward" to the point that you feel disengaged.
It's also extremely short (about 10-20 mins of playtime). I expected more from a game that weighs 1GB+.

I like this game because it reminds me of one of my favorite games, which is Way of the Samurai 3. It’s a short game with a lot of branching paths, so as someone who never liked replaying a five-hour-long game just for different cutscenes, I always like this approach to games. THIS game captures that. I know it’s not the first game that does this thing, but it definitely nails it. All the scenes are hot and very on point with what I like from an adult media. BUT there is something that I dislike, which is the off-screen lewd scenes. There are some scenes in this game that the devs didn’t let the player see, which is very disappointing because all the scenes in the path I like the most are just a result of off-screen lewd scenes. So that’s the only thing I hate about this game. Other than that, it’s pretty good for an adult game.

dev is a genius. knows how to set pace and make the game erotic. it doesnt waste your time with superlong and boring backstory... you get to know the characters through the story and their actions/thinking, not some narrative descriptions.

this game is a breath of fresh air among the garbage games i played recently. the dev is obviously an actual writer, if he isn't then he has talent for it.

The game from the get go keeps your interest with hot scenes. characters have layers to them. things make sense. the dev truly did a great job.

one of the very few games where i don't recommend skipping at all. it all serves to build up for the sexual scenes. and it doesn't waste your time so you won't be bored.

5/5 and i only played a small portion of it but no wonder the ratings are so high on this and his other game.

now i unlocked most of endings and the game managed to keep its quality. very good game. feels short because it's so good. highly recommend for everyone even exploring all the choices by skipping repeated scenes. the dev on page 6 of discussion gave a detailed picture of routes.

Short and sweet in a very perverted way. This game has some very hot and steamy scenes, if you are into corruption and humiliation.
The graphics look amazing and the titular character is very cute and sexy.
The dev is creating an awesome universe where humiliation is the major kink being explored. Looking forward to more games.

There's nothing particularly remarkable about this game. It's a short game with a wide variety of choices, which lends itself to several replays to see what small changes could impact the narrative and lead you to different endings.

I admit, as interesting as "choices matter" games are, the actual reloading and picking different choices massively detract from the game in my opinion. Not only does it hurt your immersion, but it also makes it harder to relate to the characters because if you keep changing saves and loads, it's easy to forget at what point of the story you are and what the characters are currently thinking or experiencing. Everything blends together, and a lot of the choices are quite minor in scope and stakes, but the results are dramatic, which might create some dissonance between the player's choices and the character's subsequent actions.

One of my biggest criticisms is that this game is deathly quiet. There's no sound at all. When creating porn, it's important to engage as many of the viewer's senses as possible, but as far as a visual novel goes, having at least a bit of ambient sound or fitting music is so important for setting a mood. There's nothing more depressing than just sitting there in silence while reading a porn VN.

The story isn't something that gripped me either. It's a very generic premise that seems to jump from porn trope to porn trope throughout its choices. None of the characters stand out as being compelling. I'm not particularly sure what could be changed to make this game stand out; it just feels like I'm watching the part on PornHub that everyone would skip.

While I'm very tempted to give this game a 3/5, I'm going to give it a 4/5 simply because, in terms of F95zone standards, 3/5s are typically far worse than this game. But if you ask me, if you're not interested in incest, I don't think there's much here worth playing over any other game.

A solid Visual Novel with amazing renders. There are a few branching paths but even then the game is quite short. One major path is also an incest branch which is pretty meh for me.

There's some meta-story about some kidnapped girl that I completely do not understand or care about. I'm guessing it's an overarching story in a series as it barely ties in with the main character... we're talking a cameo of a secondary character as the only link.

MC's loser boyfriend is hella ugly and creates a weird suspension of disbelief that the main character would ever be with him. The game also goes from prude to slut in 0.5 seconds with lots of porn movie style motivations across various characters, if that's not your thing.

But in the end, the renders make up for it all and land it at a solid 4 / 5.

Only need one word: MORE!

The Game is too short. Amazing visuals, story line and fantasy aspect, however it needs more content. There's a ton of different ending paths you can take to see clara become a filthy whore, but the journey all feels short.

This game is not a kinetic novel but it might as well be, you either play to get 100% incest corrupted or you get a game over disguised as a premature ending. If you want a game with more agency and choice this is probably not for you.

I like the Game a little bit to short but still a good Game. Woud be even better with some Animations or at least more Picture from the Sexscenes. Sometimes it jumps from teasing directly to the End of the Sexscene.
Thats why i give only 4 Stars and not 5.
I like that the Game focused on the F/D Relationship without too many Sidecharaters.
A remaster longer Version woud be great.

I think it´s a good game that shouldn´t be 3 or 4 Stars, because it´s too good to be 3 Stars and it´s just too short to be 4 Stars really.
I wish the game was longer and the Story was more flashed out, because the Story feels too rushed.
Still can recommend playing it and will follow what the Dev will do next.

A nicely dark and twisted game with an interesting plot, good visuals, and very slutty women. I could wish that it were longer, but it just make me want to see more.

I'm not sure why there aren't more games being made with this level of depravity, but the writer sure knows how to mash the emotional buttons which provide the context for the events in both this game and for Theater of Sinners proper.

Conclusion:
Love the Game, no grinding game play (That's Important for me) and the Story is hot
The closeups are very nice also, and the story is being told very nice and this also shows the Devs fun in writing it, no fast slap down on the text.
With all the closeups and the nice story behind the game you just can't get enough.

Gave it five Stars because of the Sex scenes and story that are Great...
