VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Clara's Love Hotel [v1.0 Special Edition] [Dumb Koala Games]

not much of a game, barely has a story and is overall just a bunch of scenes put together. renders look good and even really good sometimes but it's not worth it unless you dont care about a story at all

I am surprised to see this rated so highly, so I'm here to mark it down somewhat.

While the visuals look fine and it's interesting to see models with smaller sized breasts as contrasted with the majority of the 3D render porn games having enormous tits, the dev could have gone for at least some more variety. I wouldn't be surprised to learn all the models use the same slightly touched up body model, because that's what it feels like. It gets boring, fast.

The main complaint I have with this is that, this isn't really a game. It is a collection of sex scenes of random VERY loosely connected characters with virtually no player agency. It feels like the dev created a bunch of sex scenes first and then tried to connect them together in 5 minutes. There's barely one minute of dialogue between the different sex scenes, and while it's subjective, none of them excited me that much.

If I wanted to just look at sex scenes, I'd go to a porn streaming website, I bother downloading games because the act of having agency excites me. The agency in this product is pressing fast forward so you can get to the next scene.

Also a personal minor demerit is that I downloaded this game because I filtered by the tag 'female protagonist', and this game doesn't really apply here, as there's barely any 'protagonist' at all. You just jump from scene to scene of different characters, and while they are female, you don't really control any of them, so it's a bit disingenous to mark it this way. One of the first scenes you encounter even puts you as a male PoV, which is the opposite of what that tag implies.

Pretty bad game.

The story has an okay concept but is awfully told. The story is pretty much only you have a sex scene a little bit of boring dialogue next sex scene there is no pause just sex scene after sex scene.

The sex scenes themselves are boring, they have animations but a lot of the camera angles look bad.

The charactrs all feel the same they all act simimalar and even look the same, because they all have the same face with the same freckles, and the models are also only average.

The music got very annoying quickly, the same with the sound the "Gasps" sound effect was so often and is always the same it was so annoying.

But there was also a thing I can appreciate, the lesbian only option it´s nice to have that for people who want it.

First of all, I should mention that I didn't finish the game because I found out by the third scene that this is not my cup of tea.

Maybe I'm weird, but I play games (including adult games) for the story, and with this game, you can't really talk about story (again - I'm judging based on the first three scenes). It's a series of situations connected by common characters.

Further, while I have nothing against incest in principle, here I found the situation of a mother who has no problem using the (paid) services of her daughters extremely uncomfortable. And perhaps in general, I was a bit bothered by the fact that I had my doubts about the consensual nature of the sex (non-consensual sex disgusts me even in a game) of characters who look like minors and sell themselves under duress (at least in the first case).

On the other hand, there are also pros to be mentioned:

- I certainly appreciate the option to choose lesbian only content
- the girls are pretty and it's refreshing to come across a game where not all the women have big boobs and are clean-shaven, I also like the fact that the girls look really teenage - you don't come across that too often either (although for obvious reasons)
- the sex scenes (the few I saw) were nice

So if you are interested just in the sex scenes and don't mind that the girls look very young - I guess you will like the game.

Clara's love hotel is a porn game featuring a bunch of short stories with loose ties to each other. There are a variety of teenage characters so if you're looking for double D type breasts, you had best move onto another game. The sex scenes in this game are absolutely fantastic and there's a lot of great fetishes served here from normal sex, lesbian sex, strip dancing, interacial, and cumswapping. Overall, this game is all about making the audience jizz buckets and that is definitely achieved.

Once again, fantastic work from DumbKoala: stunning girls, very nice graphics, extremely hot scenes (even if I’m not into sapphism) and an insane attention to detail!

This VN is pretty lengthy, compared to others DK’s work, which is a very nice. As always, the sex scenes are beautiful and extremely arousing; it’s an ode to the art, at the absolute opposite to the “6 images scenes” we can find in an ungodly number of VNs.

If you’re not aroused by this game, perhaps you should search for jeezus.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that I am a minority opinion, but I found the game to be mediocre at best. Story and plot were minimal, pacing off, animation wonky, and sound poor. I realize that many VN's don't have branching and game play, so I can't fault it to much in that regard. That said, characters were well designed and scenes hot, even if incest isn't my thing. I also though the option to have a semi strictly lesbian experience was neat, especially with a dearth of real lesbian games on this site. I think if you want to turn your brain off and whip your dick out, this game is for you. I am just one of those that wants that and a little more, so if you fall in the first category feel free to disregard my critique.

Awesome game, fabulous renders, different locations, really likeable and stunning girls, even some with trimmed bushes.

Here I don't play for the story but for the eyecandy
I've read that the developer creates their own models so I have to say
this is a truly welldone job!! Didn't encounter such lovely models somewhere else.

I've been playing AVN's and reading comics from this developer recently and have to say it's one of my favourite devs atm.

Clara's Love Hotel doesn't fool around pretending to be the game with depth story and choices. From the very beginning we see that it's a porn game.
And it have everything needs for an excellent porn game: quality models, very hot sex scenes, lewd characters and perverted dialogues.

I normally prefer more male domination games but Koalas games tick all my boxes so far! Unique girl/girl content with (almost) no males is just great for me. Im a big fan of group sex/orgies and incest (son/mon, daughter/mom) and this game has some really hot scenes between mom and daughters. I like the idea of shorter visual novels and that different story settings are tried out. So far love it and cant wait to try out future games from this dev. 5/5 stars because of great concept(s), hot scenes and focus on ONE thing like girl/girl content , but its done right here. Oh and did I mention, that graphic wise it looks great too?! Keep up the good work, Team Koala!

Hot girl/girl content, exciting scenes. Glad male characters are just in very minor roles. Girls are very attractive. There are many short, but very effective animations. Also really liked the kind of lightening, gives the scenes a distinctive mood and atmosphere. Also the game is considerable longer than DumbKoalas previous games, this is certanly a step up. While this is a top game there is still some room for improvement. Girls are pretty but they look all very similar. Also some more character development would be welcome.

I award this a five stars easily because of all the girl/girl content! It’s great how Koala doesn’t miss out on the erotic potential of g/g. I feel most games do tend to lack lesbian content, often for the wrong reasons…
I don’t know if Koala’s next game is going to be a real game or still a VN, but if he went with a long game-like project , it would surely be a huge success.

So now I'm ready to write a review. As I've played most (or all) of games that DumbKola has been involved in I know what I would get here. And I got it and even a little more.

I just love the girls, young ,sexy, smart and strong . The lewd scenes has a lot of kinks I like. As a guy I still would have loved more male-female action, but the lesbian scenes are very hot here.

So , naturally, I will follow what happens with Rebecka and hope she get some older guys (like me) as her customers. that would be really great.

Still, a big thanks for this game! There was only 5* as an alternative.

This is my first review here. This is a porn game through and through. You don't need to play for 5h to see a boob. You go from sex scene to sex scene and there are lots of them. Girls are beautiful, kinks are plentiful. My kind of game.

Awesome work my dude, but needs more cock, the lesbian stuff became boring and repetitive and I found myself skipping through it - lack of a male main character is the cause we live vicariously through them in theses games.

tl; dr: KN with a good story, top renders and top animations. Worth the (short) time even if the tags aren't your thing.

Strengths:
If you manage to excite your audience, that's one thing.
If you manage to excite someone who otherwise has completely different tastes, it's another thing altogether.

I usually prefer adult and well (but realistically) built women in my games. I also have a soft spot for slave management and the ability to corrupt and subjugate NPCs in my games at my leisure.

DumbKoala's female characters are the exact opposite: they are young, look just as young but act powerful and pull the strings.

But Hell, I love it.

It convinces with beautiful girls, smooth animations and a fitting soundtrack. A simple but convenient UI completes it. Some of light and shadows are one of the finest I have seen here so far.

There are some connections with other VN's (in particular "my mother's secret") but I wouldn't mind if the girls had a little more depth.

This is probably also a question of taste, so no actual criticism with it.

Conclusion: A recommended game for connoisseurs of top animations who don't mind strong women here and there.

Hey Dumb Koala. Great work here I have to say. There is a whole lot of incredible sexy stuff in this game, from the models -> to the story. For those who likes these tags; You are likely to be in for a treat with this one.
Among the top tier of the games on F95zone. A strong 4 of 5 from me!
