VN - Ren'Py - Cléo Torres: The Dance of Life [v1.2.1] [Static Fast Art]

Well ... this is my first review and I'm glad it's for our little Cleo!!!!

I had already played this game a few weeks ago and I had loved it, I had gone on a wise girl route and it was, admittedly short, but really interesting.
I played again with this update, this time I played a little innocent nymphomaniac whore and shit ... IT'S SO EXCITING!!!

Pros :

- The game REALLY gives you choices!! and the scenario radically adapts to them! I mean: You won't experience the same story at all depending on your choices, at least not now, and that's huge!!!!

- Already a lot of fetishes and sex that's already a bit hard ... pour un début c'est tres bien !!! I hope the author will go much further ( extreme facefuck, double anal / vaginal, prolapse/buttrose )

- The story, even in nymphomaniac mode, is really interesting, I'm not looking for a Hollywood scenario but a good pretext to make a whore !


Cons :

- The flashbacks are a bit of a pain in the ass and poorly implemented.


Hopes for the future :

- More fetishes and hardcore/filthy sex for hooker routes

- Don't make us follow too many characters, it'll really break everything!

- More choices, more parameters, the possibility of empowering and clothing Chleo would be great!

As a simple consumer, I have the honor to state unequivocally. I liked the game! Everything that an erotic game should have is here! The main character and many different characters, sex, plot and dream for the main character!And finally, an important note! This story is not just a visual novel, but a real game, because there are minigames that influence the further adventures of the main character! Very few games in the world can boast of such an advantage! As for the multi-variant development of the story, the developer uses an excellent technique: at any moment, a bad ending of any option can occur! This greatly simplifies the story. I'm looking forward to the continuation of the game!

I wasn't expecting much by the title. Boy was I pleasantly surprised.
This is an extremely well made game, with an engrossing story and good looking characters. I must also add that the Bar scene was one of the hottest scenes I have ever seen in an AVN. Incredibly well done from both an artistic and writing view point .

There's really nothing I didn't like about the game. It does deal with some pretty serious life issues, such as death and depression, but it is very well done.

If you like corruption, this is a must play.

Nice game! A bit short still, as it is the very beginning but it is quite promising. There is nice lesbian content and the player can chose which encounters to accept and which to reject. So, the player can chose a straight, lesbian or bisexual route. That is quite nice. The renders are nice. I had to adjust the volumes for music and effects as they didn't feel well balanced for me, but the engine allows to make these adjustments easily, so that is no problem. Overall: Very good and looking forward to upcoming content!

The game is wonderful, the graphics are fantastic, the FMC designed really well, the story is intriguing from the beginning, and you have absolute choice, it is the game that molds itself to the player and not that the player adapts to the game.

Corruption is one of the strengths, and you can choose how much the FMC can become one, so if you are looking for a vanilla, maudlin story, this is not for you.

My biggest surprise was the first time I played it, when I found this default game in my language, I was going to translate it...

I recommend supporting it as I did on SS, because it really deserves and besides all it has a good frequency as updates.

I got to admit at first i was like "oh another FMC in a new city getting corrupted and half of the city getting balls deep in her, seen that way too many times" But the renders looks really good so i decided to give it a go and boy i was wrong, from facial expression to the writing and even the background music all was really captivate. But what really impressed me is the option the players have on how dark and twisted we can go, it's really exciting to start a scene and not knowing how it will end.

Really great story! Sometimes she's referred to as "he" which is a little confusing to read but loved the writing and the different paths. Really like the outfits too! One of the better maid outfits in a game I've played

Cleo Torres: The Dance of Life looks to be a very promising game in the female protagonist/corruption genre of gaming. The visual aspect of this game is very impressive, the protagonist Cleo is breathtaking, which in my opinion is one of the most important factors in this type of game. The stats and mechanics of this game are also interesting and somewhat unique. My first playthrough I was fascinated when the horniness stat reached 100 during the scene where a guy is helping her stretch in the gym and a visible wet spot appears in her clothing. I then tried other playthroughs messing with this mechanic getting the horniness level around 90, in hopes to achieve a similar situation in the next scene (like where the bus driver gropes her, or those two guys outside the gym harass her), but the horniness level went back down and didn't increase to 100 in those scenarios. So I am assuming those scenes are scripted not to have her orgasm, or maybe it is just because the game is still in the early stages and those scenes weren't ready yet idk. Either way this is an amazing game and I am very much looking forward to seeing the future updates!

Cléo Torres is a spectacular looking AVN, only withholden by the severe lack of content and sizeable updates to make it worth it.

All the DAZ3D games look the same to me, but Cleo stands out. Every render in this game is a delight. It's tasteful, artistic and the lighting is very good. You'll never feel that a render is generic or low effort. The dev is simply remarkable at DAZ3D renders.

The protagonist is beautiful, and naturally everyone around her wants a piece of her... and she knows it. Cleo isn't unaware of what people see in her—a change of scenery where the protagonist already knows about sex and not clueless of the lustful nature of the people around her. It's the choices that are offered to you whether to indulge in those carnal desires or not. A smart play here would be Cleo admiring her chastity and not be an easy lay or manipulated to sleep around, though she can still spoil herself with softcore stuff—like Alex and Dawson groping her, bus driver groping her, fingering in the bar, etc.

Unlike countless slowburn games, I like the fact that there are routes where Cleo has already had sex and lost her virginity in some ways. Sadly, this is also where one of my complaints emerge—No blood on defloration.

When Cleo is deflowered, there is no blood, so there's zero impact since there's no significant indicator except the dialogue that she's lost her virginity. It's the laziest option that game devs simply offload it to the dialogue and your imagination instead of adding blood in the renders themselves. What's the point of having a virgin female protagonist then if there is no blood to mark her first time?

While I always thought it was an oversight by the devs, it seems a lot more intentional as I've played countless other games. Some devs just ignore or simply refuse to add blood and I can't help but feel like it's self-censorship.

Another complaint of mine is non-consensual scenes not fully committing to the essence of that route. If you want to show a non-con scene, then show a non-con scene, but instead, there are choices where Cleo can start enjoying her rape and instead of being devastated that some rapist took away her virginity, she instead orgasms and turns it into a mind-blowing consensual sex. While I really liked the renders themselves, the lack of blood and not committing to the rape was disappointing.

It's not all bad though, the dev is probably one of the few left that cares about foreplay. There's some nice groping action and foreplay, and I hope the dev continues adding them. I'm hoping to see a lot more public groping, molestation, sexual harassment, and foreplay in public places like the bus and alleyways.

Overall, I can highly recommend the game and the content that's in it so far, but I can't help but notice the slow updates and the content trickling down every half a year. I fully understand that to create those terrific renders takes time, but it's too short for its own good and I just don't see when it will actually be worthwhile enough to have a gameplay time of hours and ever reach full completion.

Every new version is mainly focused on one particular route (such as lesbian) so if you're not interested in such a route, you're not seeing anything new for months at an end. It's hard to retain people when content is very selective and focused, doesn't target the core audience, doesn't progress the story as much and doesn't do much for all the other branches.

I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 out of respect to the dev @StaticFastart who's doing a spectacular job so far, but there needs to be more content... a lot more content and a steady flow of updates... Desperately... with no exaggeration.

Good renders, and choices so far DO actually lock you out of certain paths. However, this could mean long update cycles mid and especially late game. Pretty good gameplay and renders too, while story is fairly mid right now.

Cléo Torres: The Dance of Life This is the best game running now for so many fetishes, including construction and force. The creator is not slow-rolling; he is putting out major updates for multiple routes in the game. 10-10 so far.

A fantastic corruption game offering a unique perspective from a rare female viewpoint. The MC is a hoe don't have to suffer through slow burn build up and all that and that's great cause we have enough slow build games already. The high-quality renders, impressive camera angles, and solid writing make it highly recommendable. Excited to see future updates!

The 3D art is simply a masterpiece. It can be the best female protagonist/corruption ever made. Have smart writing, original characters, and a vast multiple-choice system. A game like that will take ages to be finished, but it's an incredible promise.

I didn't like this game at first.

Biker guy with the cracked face. It's supposed to be a scar. But it can't be a knife scar. It's either acid, or he was tortured by slowly cutting his face , or the dev catch the first texture he could find.
I was offended, because I could have liked the guy. But alas. This disgusting skin blemish looks like a contagious disease.

The diner owner looked like a caricature. It set a non-serious tone to the narrative, and put a damper on the perception of the story. It is hard to take seriously a story that is mocked by the author himself.

All the women in the movie are compulsive lesbians.
The story seemed childish and naive, and worst of all, boyish.

But the scene in the toilet of the bar changed everything. I liked the truck driver. That's my kind of big, grown-up daddy. And I wouldn't have loved the game if he hadn't suggested at the very end that we continue the relationship!

Great start so far.
The story jumps straight into it, most background infos so far are short internal monologues of the MC. It is a rather typical girl moves to big city trope, but freshed up with a dancing school plot. All in all very enjoyable.

The MC is exceptionally beautiful. Every physical interaction is more or less decided by player actions. Her personality so far seems influenced to some degree by the player as well.
She is a virgin according to the dev, but she also talks about past sexual encounters in several conversations, so it is somewhat vague in that regard.
Unfortunately she simps already after some male dancer, but since we didn't meet him in the game yet, it is bearable. Just a strong negative for future content.

All male characters she interacted with so far are disgusting. The ugly bastard fetish is clearly the focus, modelled and written as unlikable as possible.
In this short encounter there was already every possible (inner) monologue/dialogue from simple harassment to plain rape.
Again, any actual physical interaction was somewhat player controlled.

The female characters are quite unique and interesting so far.
They also range from young and beautiful to fat and unlikable.
So far this is my favorite point of the game, I'm intrigued to see these relationships develop more.

"Minigames"...
These are essential for the players agency over interactions with molesters and rapists, and can lock you out of a bunch of options to choose. I had to backtrack and reload multiple times to find the right balance between submitting and resisting to get the choices I want. Annoying.
Although there is an option to turn some of them off, others are still mandatory. Given that Minigames are probably the least liked mechanic in any VN, I really hope these will be completely optional in future releases. They're annoying, unprecise and interrupt the sexual encounters.
There is a tutorial in the beginning, so it is somewhat manageable.

Animations and renders are really of high quality.
Given the fact that the sounds are influenced by the Minigames, it is fine.

A Promising Visual Novel with Strong Mechanics and Heart
Cléo Torres is a breath of fresh air in the visual novel world! Right off the bat, the game grabs your attention with a compelling female protagonist. The developer's clever use of the engine adds some unique mechanics rarely seen in visual novels, making for a more engaging gameplay experience.

The branching narrative, with choices impacting the story in meaningful ways, adds a layer of replayability and keeps you invested. While the full scope of these choices might take time to unfold, the potential for varied storylines is exciting.

The visuals are another strong point. The artwork is stunning, and the animations bring the characters and world to life. It's clear the developer has a lot of passion for this project, and it shows in every detail.

The Dance of Life is definitely a game to keep an eye on. I'm eager to see how the story develops in future updates and can't wait to dive back in and explore the different paths my choices create. Keep up the fantastic work, Static Fast Art !

Amazing new corruption game from the rare female perspective. The renders are high-quality, the camera angles are quite impressive, and the writing is not bad at all. Wholly recommend this one and am looking forward to more updates!

Was really pleasantly surprised by this game. The visuals were very good and i though the stats/mini game system was unique and actually works well. My hope is that the number of choices doesnt bog down the development because it is off to a great start.

Shockingly Great, [v1.08], I played the last version and thought this VN had potential. Actually it has great potential after playing 1.08, unknown to me in 1.05, this VN your choices REALLY matter at least at this stage.

I've played through 4 different times and received 4 different results and they were all excellent. This is possible imo because of the limited amount of characters, makes pathing easier. It could just be a really talented writer however. I'm super excited to see where Cleo goes from here.
