VN - Ren'Py - Cocklemouth Village [v0.4] [Duppyc]

Ignore the grammar police who obviously don't understand English as it is used in the UK. The use of 'was' instead of 'were' is quite normal. This little gem is laugh out loud funny with clever puns and references to a wide range of things. The Dev has even got the character's gait to be a mick take. Finding assets to give the feel of small town England is hard enough but the Dev has done it.

The girls are gorgeous, and there's a variety of them. The situations have a real feel to them and Mr Snuggles is hilarious. It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud with a VN but Duppyc has hit the giggle button.

Cleverly written with wit and intelligence. Decent graphics and a well thought through basic storyline, and no, I'm not an AI drone. My only problem was choosing which of the young ladies to romance. Well done mate, I'm sold!

The piss ignorant grammar gave me a headache especially the use of was.
They was, we was, them was, and so forth.

As DeeOhhGee mentioned, the mc is an idiot and not in a good way. I'm not sure why dev's like to make mc's who are wimpy and stupid.

Certainly should go on the ignore list.

I got to the opening of the restaurant, and decided to quit playing, then I thought, maybe it gets better. I am unhappy to say... It does not get better. I understand this is supposed to be a comedy or parody... but that would mean it's funny. This is not funny. The MC is an ass and a moron, and the rest of the people in the VN are not worth getting to know. Most of the games/VNs like this get put in the Nope category, but because you included the dreams instead of spending that time to make the actual story better, that has moved it into the Crap category. I hope you get a chance to fix the issues with the story, since the premise is not bad, just poorly executed/written.

Mr. Bean, Monthy Pyton, and so many more and now Cocklemouth Village. I understand many US people will have hard time understanding some humor in this game but as an European I love it. Seems some are upset that a girl has a Hippo as a pet and call it her dog. It´s a game and normally a guy won´t get to sleep around like most MC does either in real life. I congratulate the DEV for the first part of the game and I hope it will keep getting better and better.
