Overview:
A Gothic girl is often perceived as someone carrying inner trauma, seeking to escape reality by adopting a doll-like appearance through specific fashion choices. However, when I spoke to a girl dressed in Gothic fashion on the street, I found her mental state to be stable—stable enough to reject the advances of a creepy, overweight man attempting to hook up with her. This made me angry, and I tried to impose my own idea of what a "true Gothic girl" should be like.
