This seems more like a bug or oversight, it's pretty clear from other events the dev wants high corruption before any penetrative sex actually happens. The scenes where she loses her virginity all require either 100 corruption or 100 beast love (anal can happen sooner, "only" requiring 50).

What does depravity and other indicators of vulgarity have to do with it? Rape involves sexual intercourse committed without a person's consent, using force, the threat of force, or taking advantage of a helpless state, regardless of the victim's wishes or condition.

Otherwise, it would be regular sex or simply coercion through depravity.

Furthermore, the scene has been present since early versions. So it seems more likely that it was added early.

And as I recall, this is better than dozens of versions of the game before the sexual act occurs. Otherwise, the game's drawn-out dialogue and small scenes of groping and other harassment lose interest.

Not sure we're all talking about the same scene, here. You mean the one that's represented by a black sphere on the map (that causes her to lose her virginity if she's a virgin at that point)? Because that one requires 100 corruption. If people are getting it before that, it's a bug. And yes, I'm sure it requires 100 corruption, I'm looking at it in the editor. I didn't encounter any rape scene before that in my playthrough, and I don't see one in the editor, neither outside the bath house nor inside it.

And yes, I understand it is a non consensual scene, but with all the scenes where she can lose her virginity being clearly marked by black spheres, it seems like the dev clearly intends to warn the player before something like that happens. It's not about the character's consent, it's about the player's control.

As for it being present in earlier versions, I didn't play earlier versions of the game, just discovered it, but that's why I used the word oversight. The dev may have changed their mind about how they want things to progress at some point and simply forgot to update the event (or at least how easy it is to trigger it).

Yeah, any game with corruption is going to have the debate about how fast or slow it should progress. In this very thread there are posts saying it's too grindy, and posts saying it's too fast and should be slower. Personally, I'm fine with it being slow if there are ways to speed it up.

2. I didn't know the bathhouse had a black ball with the deflowering part (thanks for the tip). So I thought about the older scenes where she's taking a bath (there was a guy getting in there, too).
3. I watched that scene when my corruption was at 180. If that scene with the deflowering part can be accessed immediately after building the bathhouse, it's definitely a bug or an oversight.

I think the author is updating the game assuming many people will use old saves, and they're a bit off. Besides, things will change by the game's release, since they only added the backstory now, which suggests they were adding the plot spontaneously.

1. Ah, okay, this and people playing different versions of the game mostly explains the confusion.
2. Yeah, as far as I can tell, every scene that can deflower her is represented by a black ball, and gives a warning letting the player back out if they want. (Unless she's already deflowered, then there is no warning)
3. Not sure myself, just going by what they said. I wasn't able to reproduce it in my run. As far as I can tell in the editor, the sex scene there shouldn't be possible until 100 corruption, the dev has the event set up properly from what I'm seeing. Maybe DeusMaximus was going by their experience with an earlier version of the game, I'm not certain when it updated, the thread OP says the 14th and their post was the 19th, so I assumed they were talking about the current version.

This game is still moderately unstable. Make sure you save often, because it likes to crash sometimes.
