RPGM - Abandoned - College Life [v0.3.9a] [MikeMasters]

This game has little bellow average graphics and also renders are not great. The female characters are OK but nothing extra. The story is average, nothing complicated. The game interface is typical for RPGM so it has its own cons and pros. Overall litlle bellow average RPGM game.

A very solid game.
The characters are great (especially Kara and Jessica). You can tell the models are a little dated by this point but they still look great. Music choices are great as well.

There is a ton of content here however the hours you will spend playing is artificially inflated simply from being in RPGM. The walking around and extra grind doesn't bother me as much as others, it makes the scenes with each character that much sweeter when you get there. There is a LOT of CG though, so it's worth it. It just turns the game into more like a 25 hour experience to see everything.

Main complaint: If you don't use the walkthrough you will not have a fun time, just flat out. I don't even mind RPGM games, but this game just has far too many specific triggers that have to be done in very specific order in order to see a lot of the content. If the game had an in-game hint system (quest log is very lackluster with details) it wouldn't be so bad. To have a bug free experience and to avoid banging your head against your desk in frustration of what to do next, use the walkthrough.

That being said, I enjoy my time with the game and finding out what will happen next with each character. The Dev deems like a great individual and is very responsive to feedback.

The constant crashes and several freezes in specific situtations dont allow much enjoyment when combined with RPGM.

I just left the picnic date and couldnt move my character, and after saving and reloading the bug persisted, so i had to reload and lose another 10 minutes of gameplay.
This adds to rhe bug in the room talking to Jane and trying to make her best friend, cause i have been trying and cant seem to activate that conversation. Anywy, the game freezes.
The game is crashing every 20 minutes or so, sometimes entering or leaving places, sometimes conversations, and other times playing pachisi, and that is way too annoying.

As for teh game... the 3 characters "available" have a different face but they kinf of look the same to me, they are Barbies. So far everything is kind of vanilla, i will try to play it more when im in the mood but its hard cause it is unstable and unreliable.

Overall is not a bad game, there are certainly interesting things like the first person view, which ofers some weird shots, not very pretty i guess if you understand the rules of photography but i personally like them more than those perfect POV shots were everyone is at 1 arm distance.
Once again is not a bad game,is entertaining but very unplayable. Just got Joan locked because of a bug, game freezes so i can progress with her.

This means teh game has become a 1 star until it gets fixed.

One day after posting the issues they issuess got fixed and not the game is enjoyable. The only thing dragging the rating down is the visual aspect now, meaning character design and how bones deform, and lighting and stuff. Sex scenes are good, i like it when they are detailed and made a sort of story. Maybe Kara quesline gets split in too many pieces, but scenes are good, and so far characters sort of evolve.
the only thing im missing is some darker routes, or less vanilla.

As a said the game is entertaning, dspite the fact that is visually average to bad, but since character development and sex scenes matter, and this "game" does well enough in that department, I considerthe game above average.
And because DEV fixed a major issue in one day, and that's gotta count for something, i think im gonna round up to 4.

I was hoping to see something more added and fixed but I got a lot lot lot lot of freezes. Playing for a 2nd time, the 2 questlines of Kara and Joan are full o redundancies, scenes that you have to resume, scenes taht last 2 seconds and force you to come back another day for a another 3 seconds, and so.
A lot of scenes of that sorts where the loops will play for a while, and so. And being always the handjob, blowjob, whatever job, the feeling is of constant dejavu.
The game logic doesn't help, and its easy to mess up some quests. Some of those you can "fix" them but others like the Cerid date are unforgiving.
Then many events are so short that are pointless like the hot tub, the beach maybe, the watching porn with Joan, they seem to be final but they feel halfbaked. The "blue path" I dont even know if its a thing that adds anything besides 2 pieces of clothing.

Anyway a lot of flaws, freezings, half baked and pointles events, supershort events that only add to the grind, and the updates are slow so I i finally set the rating as 2.

The characters are decent though, but dont look too good.

This is my favorite RPGM. Great storytelling and beautiful women. Each of the 4 main women are so well done, that I can't decide which one I like the most. So glad that Mike Masters is still working on the fabulous game (as of December, 2021). Keep up the amazing work and thank you soooo much for all your time spent developing this game!!

I want to like this game. Sadly, every time I try it there is a game breaking bug that ruins it for me. Rather it's a character not allowing to progress down her storyline (Kara not taking off her pants to study) or it's an image not loading in (the sleep image not loading during the first class quest). Both cause me to restart the game from the beginning, which isn't fun if you have spent an hour or two completing quests.

This game has a special meaning for me. It is my first adult game. The arts, stories and charming girls completely caught my attention and eventually brought me here discovering more games.
After playing many other games I still find College Life interesting. Every LI has different personality and backstory ,and the game's arts and rendering are even better than some renpy VNs. As an adult game, its real life style makes fetishs more stunning.
The only drawback is the complex RPGM engine wasting too much time moving around, but it also gives opportunity running into side girls. So this issue is not that annoying, especially with this good game quality

Decently built game with some fun scenes but an otherwise boring world and dreary dialogue. There's not much interaction past talking to a few people. Even just a few lines with some of the NPC's walking around the Unversity/College would make the game feel so much more alive.

Feels more like a chore to play rather than entertainment.

One of the first adult games I played. Enjoyed it but, that was two years ago and since that period I have played it every couple of updates. The game has barely moved forward in that time, the main character can still not get the signatures for the bathroom!
Story Threads that were started ages ago are still in limbo. The grind has become tedious because it does not lead to anything new or substantial.
Also, the success/fail percentage for every single interaction is not fun. Leads to constant reloading of saves.

The basic structure of the game just does not seem to be well thought out which sucks because the girls are pretty and the scenes are well rendered. Also the College setting is always fun.

Have played this game off and on for over 2 years, it is now going on 4 years and so little has been added in the way of content it is not worth it. The same quests have been around since it started and nothing new. Micro updates every number of months fixing bugs and adding a few images, nothing adding with any significance added. Even the signature quest in the story has never been changed so it can be completed. How this got so many patrons is beyond me. Really sucking on the patron tit for a long time with nothing new.
Minorly interesting game that after you have come to the end of any content, can easily be forgotten. Don't expect anything new, you are not likely to get anything. There are so many other games with Devs that produce better and care about adding content for their patrons. This is not one of them.

i just love this game i know its RPGM and sometime RPGM games sucks but this one is fun i played this game for 25 hrs or more and didn't see a huge bug that ruin the game experience never. i really appreciate this, and i give it 1 star for no ruining bugs, another 1 star for the characters you can feel everyone is a special and unique in its way, another 1 star for dialogue between characters sometime its really hot and sometime its funny as hell.
the other 2 stars is for the world design and the time mechanic it's really smooth and pretty much all the time you never see a bug
i wish that i have a job to support the developer but unfortunately I'm broke as fuck.

Characters look nice and have interesting personalities. Good opening and the story has potential.

The first hour was amazing... but.. after that, not so much. Flaws became more and more obvious.

Free roaming + grinding = filler. Having two time wasters that slow down players progression is painful.

Grinding - Who likes to grind the same scene 10 time to access the next one? Either reduce the grind, or add more scenes to make it less mind numbing.

Free roaming - Very annoying, but on the up side, there's fast travel + character locations shown on the ui. Those features definitely reduce the hassles that free roam causes. Props to the dev for adding them.

Time sensitive events in a game like this are a no no. Having features like that require you to use a guide unless you're fine with missing content.

Overall, I think this game is okay, but has the potential to be great. Stop hiding all the content! Don't have time for that Naruto/Bleach/DBZ tier filler.

This game is like an iceberg - most of it's content is hidden below the surface so don't judge the book by it's cover! Try it, reach deeper and enjoy cause there's more then you can imagine. You will find very nice girls' models, simple but involving story and lots of skills to use and work on.
I specialy enjoy this game cause each girl looks different and every model is highly detailed. Girls have different sizes, skin facture, cup size and nipple pattern. At last there's a dev that cares for small and medium sized cup lovers! No more milkcows!
A tip for beginners: try to learn girls' daily schedule, check where and when they do their things and ... meet the nurse ASAP!

The game is very good, bordering on excellent in terms of the renders and writing. It's held back from true excellence by just a few small but key aspects. First that the game is in RPGM format means it has the clunky, ugly interface for between scenes. Second, the grind to advance some skills or stats can be very repetitive, and in no way adds to enjoyable immersion. Third, the game has small flaws in some of the scenes and dialogs, where it is basically always a replay of the first scene, rather than having the feel of an actual repeat event (where certain things wouldn't be said again and again every time).

Enjoyed the game (as much as I've played). Decent storylines and characterizations. A bit buggy but not overly so. The dev responds VERY fast to comments. I just wish the patreon version was here as it apparently has significantly more content. And less bugs.

The author of this game can definitely work well with RPG Maker, renders are also nice and I appreciate relatively big freedom. However, the price of freedom in this case is repetitive content. You need to click through the same routines many times to move further. Some key moments are dependent on a random result where the odds are approximately 50%. If you fail, you will lose some time and often a talking skill, which usually has about the same chance of increasing and decreasing. This leads to frequent loading. I think that if the author lowered the necessary number of times to repeat some events before you moved further, and increased the chances of success with random results, the game would be shorter but much better, probably worth 5 stars.

Nothing interesting here, game like dozens of others. There's nothing new in here, music is the same as in many other titles, gameplay too and scenes are average at best. What's worst though is the grind. You have to repeat the same tedious tasks again and again and there's not much to do really.

The game is just a simulation of a story about college. Literally you could walk on a college campus and have a better time. The cheerleader looks like a 45 year old that smokes. It’s a video game make it something that you cannot do in real life.

Best RPGM game I've played. No travel grind that's present in other RPGM games. Great developer who delivers a fair amount of content each update. CGs are good. Hope more misc events are added which are unrelated to story line.

I love this game alot, this game made me a insta patreon of this developer, story is compelling and fun, lovely graphics and renders 1080p HD fuck ye! I hope he will add more spying ways in the bathrooms (toilets for example and peeing) i reccomand this game alot you won't regret it!
