Unity - ComeCloser [v0.21] [ComeCloser]

VERY unplayable, clunky controls in VR, dont even waste your time. Very limited with what the models do, they talk a lot its like reading a whole book. Buggy controls, no explanations or instructions, buggy models, buggy toys, buggy areas.

I really want to like this game...
I played it over a year ago on my old rig and it was impressive. I loved being able to interact with models in VR, but I struggled to achieve anything more than groping.
I played it again now on my new rig (ryzen 9900x/nvidia 4070ti super) and it almost seems more clunky, maybe I haven't tweaked things yet. It is still neat to interact with models, but frequent clipping problems spoils any immersion.
However, my biggest disappointment is that the game just seems to simulate vanilla girls (albeit hot girls in exotic locals). I wish they would add some spice! I would love to see a bondage room with a rack, or a way to change the girls personalities and actions through injected drugs. Maybe hunting a girl with a dart gun, or a sleep sex scenario.
Anyways, I guess I'll keep checking on things, hopeful.

Ok, my rating and opinion are based on the PC version (without VR).

Currently (v 0.20), it's just a demo where you position the girl in one of the few spots available on each map and watch her in action in different poses.
You can only interact with the girl’s clothing, which has collision physics.
Apart from that, not much else… Looping animations where you can change the movement speed.

I was hoping to find something like "Some modeling agency" or similar games, with the mechanic of controlling your hand and body, but you can’t touch the girls or grab objects (I think in the VR version, you can). You can only walk around the map and watch animations.

Maybe I'll give it another chance after some time. It has potential.

Solo se puede interactuar con la ropa de la chica, la cual tiene fisicas de colision.
Aparte de eso, no mucho mas... Animaciones en bucle a las que les puedes cambiar la velocidad de movimiento.

yet another poorly developed vr game with very bad controls and no content to actual jack off to. just more of the same static model that u can put a dildo inside while getting motion sickness from the bad controls and low fps from bad optimization.

It's a lot better looking than most 3d games, for sure. The ghost penis thingy is a cool bit of tech. It's pretty unfinished in terms of actual stuff to do it feels like. Each girl has about 3-4 positions but there's basically just 2 sounds for each girl, and it gets pretty repetitive. The VR interface feels kinda clunky, and there's no orgasms which really sucks though. Would recommend on f95zone but not from their Patreon at this point in time but maybe with more updates.

I had high hopes for this game, but it was very disappointing.

The graphics are really good for a VR game, no issues with tearing or any other glitches.

The dialog drones on a bit, but isn't very helpful in learning the controls. You have to learn how to move around on your own before the dialog even begins to hint at how the controls work.

Which brings me to the controls. The controls are a combination of keyboard, mouse, and the two hand controls for your VR headset. It's extremely awkward.

I can't rate the story itself because I never got there. By the time I got to a place where I could start the story, I was so annoyed with trying to coordinate the controls that I simply closed the game.

One of the best erotic vr experiences I played yet. I love the setting, scenario and charming but minimalistic character design. I miss having a dick in game and the ability to fuck and grab her well.

This game I've been giving open minded gameplay since the literal beginning. It's a pretty good game at its core.
Unfortunately, there are too many things holding me back from giving more than an average 3-star rating.

It seems this game gets a lot of positive support because many of the users haven't had opportunities to experience more VR sex games. However, from VR enthusiasts that have had experience with many VR sex games, I almost always hear/see this one being placed lower on their recommendation list for the same problems I listed above, and I do not see them getting changed.

This game would totally achieve 4 stars by solving 1 or more of the issues listed above and I will keep a close eye on such.

If you have a bad computer just lower the graphics settings until it feels smoother since it looks decent even low.

The game is very good. This is by far the best VR adult game I've ever played. The content of the story is simple, but the pictures are very beautiful, the girls are all beautiful and the best part is the fuck scene, just like the real thing. However, her voice is weak and not very expressive.

Tried with a oculus quest 2 and it's quite a real nice start, physic and look of the 3 girls is well done at its stage of development. with a special note on how genitals works.
I like the fact that you could turn one of the quest controller into your shaft and use it.
I'm not putting a five stars, it still lacks some sound environment. The girls don't produce a single noise and it's a bit less immersive.
Therefor, quite an impressive start.

Simply mind blowing. Never would I expect this to be so lifelike, the female bodies are beautiful from up close, the body physics are astonishing. I must have spent about 2 hours yesterday just playing with virtual tiddies.

It's not just the "physical" aspect about the women in ComeCloser that really amazes me, they also react to all sorts of subtle things like making eye contact or getting closer to them. They also did a fantastic job with the sound effects already (I believe this was only recently added). For instance when you're pleasuring a woman they will softly moan, depending on your speed. As you move your head closer to theirs, the moaning will become louder/closer to your ear (sorry English not my first language). So there's a 'proximity' aspect in relation with the sound effects which is extremely hot.

Another thing that's simply amazing is when you actually manage to engage in the act of intercourse - which is harder than Dark Souls all bosses no hit run - you can choose whether you want to be in charge (do the thrusting) or let her do her thing (sit/lay back and let her ride you). This comes so natural, once you have inserted she will start moving and moaning, you can then decide to take control and pound her. Fucking brilliant. Same with a blowjob scene, once you've parallel-parked your way into the right angle and your dick comes close enough she will gobble it up and start sucking at her own pace. You could then decide to use your free hand to grab her head and, you know.

I could go on for a while about the amazing features in this app (hardly a game). It has WORKING SPHINCTER PHYSICS. What more do you need to know? You can DP a girl with both of your hands. You can ATM a chick with your virtual dick. This is top notch adult entertainment and I can't wait to see what else they come up with. Definitely worth supporting if you're into this sorta stuff.

HEADS UP: THIS GAME REQUIRES A VR HEADSET!!! That being said...

The core idea of this game is really good. It has very unique mechanics that I enjoy in concept and the models are VERY realistic and intoxicating. This is unfortunately where the good ends.....

The game has a lot of problems.

1. It lags A LOT, even on low graphics. For a VR game that doesn't really have that many assets in it, it lags a shit ton. I have a pretty decent setup that can run Half Life: Alyx on medium graphics with barely any problems... So that should tell you something.

2. I DO like the idea of your shlong being able to track with your controller for body movement, but the interactivity isn't executed very well... trying to get the dick to penetrate is very difficult, to the point where when you finally get it in, it's very dissatisfying with trying to keep the movement, and it slips out easily most of the time.

3. I literally can't jerk off when I play this game. I know that seems silly, but for a porn game, I'd really like to rub one out while I'm playing. I realize that with VR it's innately more difficult in general, but there's a lot of VR games that give you the option to just chill out and watch, maybe interact with the controller a bit. This game is just... TOO much interaction. You have to basically stand for everything, they don't make it easy to fuck in the first place, to the point where it becomes a fucking chore. Nobody wants to do chores while playing a VR porn game.

4. There's just not that much content. You have 2 levels, each with a different girl and the option to pick day or night (Day and night don't change or add anything). There's 5 spots in each level with about 3 different positions for each spot. That's it. Not much else to say.

TL;DR
I really want to like this game, and there are certain parts that I really do enjoy. I like the models and the game does have good graphics for a VR porn game. I just think the execution on a lot of mechanics is a mess, and it needs more time in the oven, maybe even an overhaul. Until they fix these major issues, I'm out on this one. It's not worth the 12$ Patreon fee for the full game, not in it's current state at least.

UPDATE: They added a new level with a new girl, and I actually like the story telling here a lot. Because of this new areas, I've bumped it up a star.

So like the previous review the core gameplay seems good but is extremely reminiscent of other titles like Vr Hot or even the old favorite Vr Kanajo just without the little immersive features that make those titles enjoyable.

Sure the clothing physics are way more wavy but it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, if anything it detracts from it due to the dress constantly clipping through her skin. The model does look incredibly soft but is then again ruined with your de-boned rubber hands bending in ways that make me shudder.

Getting out your "member" is a real pain as well, they went for some sort of controller tracked option that's pretty awkward and just simply doesn't work (at least not on a quest).

I understand that its still mostly just a tech demo but when its released in this space you have to compare it to the other titles out there.

If a massive update happens I'll update my review accordingly

an OUTSTANDING core here with so very much potential. I will 100% be supporting this. The high def and clothing are enough, but the rest is actually quite solid as well. I'm excited to see some sound and animation/reaction from the character(s).
