Yeah, sometimes logic escapes people. I recall Double Deadbolt locks, which were keyed deadbolts on the inside and outside of a door. But I believe those were only allowed to be used on certain doors. Not sure if the "building codes" have changed as it's been about 20 years since I've been around that stuff. LOL

Meh. After that I got to the first quicktime choice and was out. No rollback, QTE idiocy, and I'm out. So I don't care if they can't escape during a fire anymore. I'm not savecumming every friggin choice to see what they do. I have better things to do. Like trim my beard.

you don't export all saves, its just a single save (not that big of an issue since there are no branching paths)

Yeah I was a hopeful for this game for the longest time but it's becoming a slog to play now.
Updates are lacking content but not only that, what little content is gated behind those "repeat 3 times" events that are also gated by specific days of the week to artificially increase the playtime of every update.
Don't think I'll touch this game for a while
