HTML - Confined and Horny [v0.23.2] [Tukann]

It hurts to give this game 2/5, but it is what it is.


The game started really well, good story, good pacing, the models are alright, generic from the engine they use. The game has some things you need to manage, but with the pace the game was going it was great.

So the first 2 hours are gangbusters.

Then the game turns into an absolute grind. Progression turns from single progressive events with no much wait between them into events that appear once or twice a week, with several gating mechanism so you can't just progress who you want, with lots of repetition. That means you might have to do the same event, once per week, 4 times, to get a tiny amount of story progression. During those week, that you just want to press skip skip skip skip skip, well you can't because you need to do your chores and manage your horniness and hygiene because the moment you get out that door if you've been skipping days, girls gonna jump on you.

Started out a 5/5 but unfortunately it has major grind issues later on. The actual grind isn't that bad to raise the temp stats which affect the odds of certain but the grind that is annoying is when you unlock the 3rd girl. She has events that happen Tuesday and Friday, meanwhile skipping multiple days gets incredibly annoying as you're supposed to be managing your cleanliness, chores and so on. Skipping 3-4 days at a time means you have to go to your room and repeatedly press 'nap' 4 times and then 'sleep'. You then have to hope you don't get any of the other events which mean either having to do 10+ clicks in differing areas of the screen or lose quite a bit of those temporary stats I mentioned earlier. I'm also constantly invited to certain 'dates' which I have to reject since it penalizes you if you forget. That adds another 3-4 clicks, and this isn't Renpy where the clicks can be instant. Every click/action taken means it has to load. Even if the load is near instant, it adds up quickly.

Overall content is pretty good. Lack of setup for 3rd girl makes her pretty low tier, but the first two are great. The animations are interesting and the girls and gif animations for r18 scenes are solid.

Almost 4 stars! Minus one is about you need to wait at least a year for new noticeable content.

But my 2 stars only for "on last stages you get insane if playing without cheats"
- grind (stats loose/gane, hyhiene, chores and so on)
- random (even with cheats (implemented by dev) - repeat at least several times to proceed)
And when on last stages (as for v21) you too often need to "Wait a few days" or event "...on weekends", it would be just stupid grind to pass several weeks with hyhiene, chores and other shit (ok, with cheats you just bored by click a "Walk around" and skip days)

I can understand author, he/she/them (have no idea) want not only joy and inspiration while developing the game, but money too.

Sorry, if the "update" is like:
- New Emily scenes (may be one or less, sometimes you can't see it for some specific requirement or just paywall)
- New Olivia scenes (the same)
- fixes, fix, another fix
and that's all after several months and update by update
Also things like this I don't like... (IMHO, may be someone one need the proper comma or specific right word in text in porn game to be satisfied, but I am about content)
- "BDSM night visit" - with light spanking only (WhereTF is BDSM here )?, even there special tag exists
- "Changed Emily answers when talking to her while watching TV" - are you??! that wonderful!!11one... and what about add or expand content? (sorry)

It's a really decent game, technically well made and while it's grindy by design, the goals are well documented. The art is very good and the writing believable and interesting.

At one point, it's leaning too heavily on the grind with too little reward. Repetition gets annoying (especially that stupid Halloween dream) and progress is almost non-existent.

It's a shame. If it had retained the pacing from the start, it'd been a better game than it is.

It has grown on me. It could really use more stuff to do even if just filler content between scenes. The characters are nice, though I'm not a fan of Mia's tattoos... but that's just because I'm not a tattoo fan in general. Cute af, though. Also not a fan how there's quite a few bonus scenes locked behind the patreon paywall. But gotta give people something to get their money, I get it.

Keep chugging away, dev.

Tldr:

It's a decently well made game, but it run out of steam rather fast.

Preface:

I tried the latest update (0.20.3) after a couple of years following my first disappointing attempt, to see how it progressed and give it a more honest look, and while there ARE some good moments in the game, it get tedious and frustrating after a while and it kill the mood, going back in is like a Monday at work and that's not why I'm here for.

Art:

The whole thing is made with Honey select assests, the models are all nice, but you've seen them in a million other games so there's really nothing special here, it's not bad, it's not original either, my personal grief with HS models is that they always look like they are sweating profusely and that really gross me out.

Writing:

This is where the game shine the most, it's sensible and well thought out, the characters are easy to love as their own distinctive archetypes, which lead to an awkward situation, as the MC have multiple answer to give them occasionally, you come out as a sociopath, playing nice only to get to fuck them, and once I started seeing things that way, it lost it's genuinity, which is a damn shame.

Fetish:

I have some mixed feeling about what this game has to offer, there are some very great moments, it's essentially free use and hidden sex, but while I'm OK with the classic "sex over the kitchen table" there are some other fetish that are forced on you and I'm NOT OK with that, such as foot-job and humiliation, some peoples will love it, no doubt about that, as I don't dispute their existence in the game, but I think this could be handled with more care.

Gameplay:

It's a life sim, behind closed door, you're stuck with sexy girls and you franticly left clic your way to their panties, doing boring menial tasks such as the laundry and the dishes, and it's fun for about 10 minutes, then it become an actual chore, and that's where it kill the mood, as you have to wait for all condition to be aligned to fail a roll d100 and wait for a whole week to get another opportunity, and it get worse with the addition of the 3rd girl Mia, whose events are only available twice a week, and you can't just progress one girl at a time either, as you need to bone one girl to be able to bone the other, it's circumvoluted and needlessly tedious.

Conclusion:

As much as I love the concept, the characters and the writing, the game itself fail to stay enticing and you lose appetite after being forced to cross a desert for a peanut.

This dating sim is an absolute masterpiece, blending heartfelt storytelling with charming, memorable characters. Every interaction feels meaningful, and the choices truly shape your journey. The art style is stunning, full of color and emotion, drawing you into a world you won’t want to leave. The music is beautifully composed, perfectly setting the tone for romantic, bittersweet, and comedic moments alike. Each character is uniquely written, with deep personalities and backstories that make them feel real and relatable.

Cool game. A bit too repetitive. But the story is ok, animations are ok, Olivia is life. It is really a good game. 2-3 hour gameplay. Hopefully the developer picks up the pace and complete it. I've downloaded this multiple times, means I come back to it again and again. It's not a 10/10 but it just has a deep allure to it that I myself can't understand. Great Game, Love Olivia

there is ok-ish story and some grinding, but with walkthrough build-in it is not so annoying, so overall tension bulding is quite good

what's most important:
there are only 3 girls, but every one of them is 8+/10
and the sex scenes are great

so yeah, worth it

I've been coming back to this game pretty regularly, so i thought it would deserve a review here.

One of its reasons why i'm coming back is: It's easy to pick up and easy to put down. An online html game that's rather the opposite of sprawling games with deep gameplay.
Which in my eyes is fine, since the game does not want to capture with its gameplay, but rather with a simple story, amicable characters and easily accessible, short animated porn scenes.
And the scenes are varied and sexy enough to visit them repeatedly in the gameplay loop.

While the story and characters aren't deep, they feel immersive. The atmosphere around the lockdown gives a believable reason why you're mostly alone with the girls, isolated from the outside world.

So, all in all, i like it for the short, small game it wants to be.

the only strong point here is the fairly good art. this doesn't say much if you know how quick and easy to use this art programme is. the gifs in preview/banner show the best of it. the dev has managed to make best use of it though. no small feat.

design is half and half as it looks ok but plays like an anal-retentives' wet dream. several hours in and i made almost no real progress, as the grind just to keep stats up is abysmal. small wonder that feed is spammed with peeps asking for code to cheats, even when it has already been posted, which makes me wonder how many came for the code but didn't post.
probably a lot more than did, and for good reason. it really is boring without it.
not that great with it either.
add to this, code is paywalled......yeah

plot is a reminder of 2020. think of all the great things that happened during that year. had there NOT been a lockdown nobody wanted, yes a good adult game plot, with good writing. sadly this plot and the writing are as generic as it gets. i have yet to meet anyone who had a positive thing to say about lockdown. weird choice or just lack of imagination? you decide

it is a very telling thing for me when i quit a game and go looking at the image folder instead. i will happily sit and play days on a sandbox game if it can keep me interested, both sex and plain adult games. thousands of steam hours on bethesda walk-a-thon games tells that tale.
this one just has nothing between scenes that makes it worth the invested time, just more rinse and repeat for minute progress.

Oddly charming.

The characters, MC and love interests, are sweet; and the artwork harmonises well with the gameplay, characters and storytelling. The gameplay loop, a daily cycle of interactions with the girls and maintenance activities, can be a little grindy, but remains enjoyable.

I look forward to the next update.

I don't play many HTML games, but I've seen this pop up in my feed a few times and decided to give it a shot

Reviewing as of v0.17

Pros:

• Animations are crisp and fluid
• The two girls are very cute and well-made
• A slow burn corruption-like game. Not really corruption but more like getting the girls to fall in love with you
• Plot is somewhat generic but still good
• Around 2 hours to complete
• Cheat code/gallery is in the game

Cons:

• A lot of clicking around and doing nothing at times
• A lot of skipping time just to get one scene you want
• Some grammar errors
• Gets repetitive very fast

Conclusion:

I'd recommend this game but also temper expectations. If you aren't feeling it, maybe wait a few more updates but the game is so many builds in that I think if you don't like it, you probably never will.

omg I LOVE clicking around the same 3 menus for hours at a time and failing 90% success rates that I only had one chance for per day over and over again! I LOVE finally passing that 90% check, just to get the wrong scene because it's randomized, so I can't move on with the plot! I LOVE repeating the same scenes over and over again to regain relationship points that decay through time and bad luck!

You get the point. This game is tedious. I have played many HTML games before and understand their limitations, but I actually do feel a small sense of progress and accomplishment in a lot of them, unlike this one. Internal RNG is seriously messed up here as well. 80% is a lot closer to 50%, and I've never passed a 60%. The H-scenes are pretty good, the writing is decent, but the gameplay loop feels like being stuck in the second circle of hell, doomed to repeat the same actions over and over again hoping something will change.

Confined and Horny is definitely something different

Tukan's choice to use a unique engine really makes a difference
you can tell right away that it's not just another cookie-cutter game. Everything feels fresh, and the gameplay is super smooth.

This one is not for me, that's pretty clear. I was taken really aback by the html mechanics, first one I play that works in HTML and I find it unnecesarily clunky when compared to RenPy or such. Also, render quality is pretty low, as are the few annimations I got to see. Writing didn't seem bad which is a plus, at least in the while I played, but music was pretty... hmmm, generic and not cool? Not sure if those are the words, but it sounded like bad japanese elevator music. So, all in all, I dropped out fairly quickly from it, and don't find it appealing at all.

Unfortunately the negatives I mentioned in the previous review are basically still there in full power, new content is just "repeat action 3 times, wait for right days" and not much new content is added.
I was excited for updates now I'm just gonna leave this aside for a long time unless I hear things have improved.


Reviewing v0.15.1.

Since the game is not finished I won't go too in depth.
I personally really enjoyed this actually. This might be the first HTML game I did not quit and makes me want more after I caught up.

I'll start with the few negatives I have.
- Once you reach the later half of the game, there are too many "dead." days where you just skip them to get to the next event.
- The animations are good until you have to manually play them, it feels like you're forced into one speed of clicking cause it turns awful if you go to slow or too fast.

Positives:
- The story is actually not trying hard to make things overly complicated. We have a simple setup of confinement and it works well as the backdrop for this.
- The animations (before manual play) are pretty hot and they work well.
- The contrast between the two girls works well, I like that we have the more slutty Olivia that just gets down to business and Emily who slowly discovers herself.

For the future I'm really excited to just have more content, content that fills up the more "dead days" gaps but also what comes next, possibly the introduction of the delivery girl to the cast (with the spare room and all).

Score as of v0.15.1 is gonna be a 8/10 with excitement for future updates!

Game isent bad but the story is very bland which makes it a bit boring, but what makes it extremly boring is the repetitive gameplay doing the same stuff over and over and over, the same scenes 5 millions times or skipping and skipping days.

It dosent help that the storyline moves extremly slowly so gaining any kind of progress takes hours for what is really a total of 5 mins worth of content so the work vs rewards is just not there, maybe its also due to stuff being locked behind patron which makes it feel alot more empty.

As for girls there is only 2 and maybe a 3rd will be added at some point (delivery girl) not that i cared much about her but in any case there is really only good content with a single girl right now, still very slow to get there but atleast theres some.

As for the second girl the small tits one dosent really have much content other then a shitload of slow progress like you have seen before where it goes from hugs to kiss to licking to BJs to grinding just alot worse then what you normaly see since theres 50 times the same thing before moving to the next, its so bad that they only just now are talking about anal which i dont even care about so theres still a loooong way untill you get to fuck her, so almost 2 years and only a single girl has decent content.

Also the RNG is just fucked, the number of times it fails on 80% or even 90% chance is way of the charts so it feels more like 40% at best.

Game is also really small for a sandbox since it all goes on inside an appartment due to virus lockdown thing but i guess lockdown dosent count for delivery girl for soem reason that i might have missed.

The reason im up to 3 stars is really due to the animations they are good not crazy good but above average but they cant hold up the games alone.

The music is standard background stuff nothing special.

As for the sandbox its also extremly boring and repetitive, i mean the number of times you have to take a shower or jerk of is almost none stoop since its every single day, then you can buy a pill for boners but it only works once when caught by a girl and has 2 days delivery timer and its the same fro shower sprey thing, you can only buy one each at a time.
This kind of stuff really hurts the game overall in a big way as well, if you can use cheats to remove MCs weird sexual issue that constantly gives him boners from nothing would help alot but i dont have cheat code and i dont like to cheat in games either since then theres not much point to playing.

This has become a recent favorite of mine.
I feel like the progression of decently paced, the mini games are just the right amount of challenge, the animations are great and I love a game with sound.

Minor gripes include:
The luck of getting the scene you want. (She has to be in this location at this time, with high stats. Then you need to roll well. Then do it again 2 more times)

No stats on the delivery girl. I'm sure there's more planned with her, but I have no idea if it's worth burning money to increase her affection.

When Emily gets scared, there's a scream sound effect. It's pretty jarring and unexpected the first time, then annoying the next 5 times. Could do with some muffling so it sounds like she's screaming down the hall, not in my ear.


All that aside, great game. Might even be with my patreon dollars.

Confined and Horny is a really well made html game on the technical side I must say.

I find the progression and gameplay loop rewarding and the scenes are well made. I'm curious about the future girls planned as new roommates!
