VN - Ren'Py - Correctional Church [v0.2] [Chibis]

Concept: essentially authotitative state controlling freedom of speech and expression using religion. Bunch of strict rules and such. Tragedy strikes the MCs family.

Pros:

• Writing is decent actually. He doesn't have deep monologue or creepy ones. There's the usual "how can I think of my step-sister like this" kinda tropes but it's not over the top or annoying.
• Side kick friend is likeable.
• LIs are smokin'
• Currently 1 h-scene at v0.2 pretty hot. Nice animation.
• Music is decent.
• Tension is built perfectly.
• Choices matter it seems.

Cons:

• Honestly it's a good first release. There's bunch of transitions which is expected from earlier release but moving forward could be filled with more renders or things to add to immersion.

Verdict: If you got 20min definitely give this a try. It's a good set up so far and left on a cliffhanger as usual for initial pieces. You can also just pick up on next one. Anyways, I will continue to follow. It's an interesting piece. Heck I'll play this title for the story cuz it's got me intrigued.

The game is a stunning debut. The characters are well-developed, the world-building is intriguing, and the visuals are both high-quality and true to the game's style. Having played to version 0.2, while the current content is mostly foundational, the pacing is expertly handled, inspiring great confidence in its future development.
I can't wait for future content.

Now that's what I call a really good start of a game.
Story and characters are interesting, renders are really good considering what they were made in.

I really hope the dev doesn't abandon or rush this.

So far what we have here is mostly world building and basic plot setup, but it's done very expertly and is already fun to experience. Great writing, great graphics. Appropriate amount of content for a second release. No sex yet and only very little nudity, but at the end of the current version (0.2) a message is displayed promising us that this is going to change. I normally delay my voting for games that are this early in development, but in this case I am as confident as previous reviewers that we are not going to be disappointed. It's a five star start, and so long as it is continued, the worst I can imagine is that it will turn out to be a four star game.

Deep lore, stunning charater design, branching choices, gradual development and overall great vibe for ch 1. I can't see any reason for cutting any points fm this ch demo, other than there are lot of points of failure in the future and as of now number of Leeds is very limited(to non-existent).
