Cheat mode is only available in single play atm and its enabled with the "easy" difficulty setting like you said. I did notice that if you go into campaign mode it switches the difficulty back to "normal" so that may have happened to you if you were trying to see where it worked.
Check to see if the difficulty setting was changed back by the game if that's not the case you might be dealing a bug and should report it to CSDev, you can also post a screenshot as well here and I will still see if I can help!

Right now there are about four custom portrait packs in addition to the default one the game comes with!
1. There is a pack that uses some madoka characters by Karnewarrior that's really dope that I will quote their post here so you can jump to it
2. There is another pack done by InfiniteSquares that is also pretty rad that uses a variety of different characters from azure lane to honkai impact 3rd
3. I have made a pack myself where I drawn the characters/assets myself, which I'm updating soon that will add 4 more character designs to the 8 I uploaded already, making a total of 12 designs with variations as wellAnother character pack featuring Prinz Eugen, both of them. The Chosen version uses Kancolle's Prinz Eugen, and the Forsaken version uses Azur Lane's take on the shipgirl.
Does the generator for Chosen team lineups pick characters outside of the default ones?
CSdev, might I suggest that character presets (costumes, weapons, and perhaps personalities) could be externalized into a file, perhaps in the character's portrait folder so that custom team lineups can be made just by picking them alongside the current customization method. Understandably, it's not a very urgent change and it's a great game so far!
I do have to ask if Forsaken in 'civilian' states are meant to use the Chosen versions of their civilian form as well.

4. activspam has a made a small pack using a character generator and afterwards they make some post processing/edits personally. They are also going through and playing the against teams with different personalities so the portraits matches the personality!*Shambles out of the bushes*
I finished my art pack so here you go everyone!
-3 character designs
-2 different hairstyles and costumes per design
-Each character has Civillian, Forsaken, Superior, and superior forsaken forms. Hairstyle and costume variations included for this
-Some of the designs will have different expressions based on if they're forsaken/ superior/superior forsaken. So a nice reward for people to go about corrupting their chosen!
And this is only the first wave of character designs so yea!
I plan on releasing an updated version once I finish the next three character designs and I already am working on those so I will continue after a short break from drawing because I went hard in the paint with this shit so need a moment to just relax haha. So expect them... maybe towards the end of November? It might be earlier since I managed to finalize a lot of stuff earlier than these first three.
I replaced all the portraits that came with the game with variations of these characters so just unzip the folder and you're good to go!
Its only some variety now but as I finish character designs it should get to the point where designs will be tied to one or two names at least that is my hope lol
Oh and with every new wave I plan on adding an additional hairstyle and costume to every existing character design
If you like to the pack feel free to let me know and if you have any design ideas I will be happy to use them since there's a lot of names in the game so a lot of character designs to do haha
Follow up post after this will be some previews as well as more detailed info about my plans for making more character designs!
Oh also I attached a team to this post so if you want see what personality archetype I designed them to be you can try the team out as well! I plan on using this save for a 50-day beginner's guide so people can pick some general tips and strategies and how to plan out short term and long term goals so look forward to that when I get around to it haha

In the meantime - some saviors! Only the vanilla and civilian variants are made atm (even though I have an idea how I wanna make forsaken and superior versions, I don't have much free time so it takes a while :C). There's a few shortcomings I'm aware of (eye highlights, some cleaning to do, etc.) that will be probably fixed when I update the packs with additional variants.
The packs were created usingYou must be registered to see the links, based on a randomly generated group of Chosen. I attempted to fit the looks with how they act in the game (at least, at the beginning of the game). The differences should be visible through emotions and I believe the girls turned out quite different, with unique personalities even though they were made with the same generator. While they work best with the archetype they were based on, you can of course use them as you wish.
In any case, enjoy and I'll be happy to hear what you think

In addition to the above, here's a similar triplet pack for the girls from Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru. For those who don't know the anime, it's something of a literary comeback diss against Madoka - playing off the tropes Madoka established, but subverting them in a way that's basically a spit in Madoka's plot's face. Yuna herself is a particularly awesome response to Madoka, being just as self-sacrificing but plenty smart about it and valuing herself in a way Madoka doesn't.
As before, the images are all cropped fanart, and so are in different styles. It was actually far easier to find good art for these girls though - despite the show being much less popular. Struggle continues to be cropped images of oral sex (or breast sex, in Togo's case) where I could make it such.
The girls chosen for the pack are Yuna, Fuu, and Togo, who provide an interesting contrast for Madoka, Mami, and Homura respectively. Unfortunately I can't give tips on which personality to give them, since a personality similar to Yuna's cheerful boisterousness or Togo's stoic humility don't really exist. However you personalize them though, I advise putting Foresaken Holy Quintet girls up against the unbroken Hero's Club, just for the interest of the thing.

i always save before a fight exactly because of that so to understando what the fuck did i do and try to replicate... well it help a lot to start reading the logs instead of insta skip, i discover about how broke is regenerate and why u should not be greedy and just forget a heroine after she got to the 10k causal to maximaze.... lets say "party" time with all 3 of them

So... Procedurally, how do you unlock the temp distortion? I know you can't break t2 MOR or CON, and it's best to not grind or pummel too much, as that can trigger violence. But, given that, how do you pick which chosen to try this on? How do you break t2 for INN and DIG without using the other two heavily? Is it even possible to do this on a chosen with core INN or DIG? its really izi u need to break tier 2 pleasure with expo, after that u need to get 100k pleasure to get the first temp... my advice is to use expo orgy to achieve that. remember that expo levels will multiply your damage by 2 so it should be easier than doing a force orgasm run.
just for note if u want to capture all three chosen u will have an easier time if u temp one before hand(be careful with defillers cause they can cause t2 break with mor and con) in the final fight let them for last and the probability for she to run away is really low
ps about your question just u can grind and pummel just DO NOT press insaminate and sodomize, in the guide they say that they can beg and hide(those only proc when the game calcule that u will reach 10k in the capture time lapse so she will use the tactic to try slowing your progress to the 10k and that will break the T1 to break T2 u need to active click on the yellow botton) btw if im not wrong if the heroine have 2 core stats u need to break both to starting receiving more EE im not sure tho, but u can still break her and make her fall.... heheh do that and u will have a forsaken that hate attacking humans with low EE cost if get the flashy attack style 1000% expo is broken

I also tried to replicate your problem on my end and found the game switches the portraits off if you remove the portrait folder or there's nothing in there, which also means it might do this when the game doesn't detects any folders/image sets in there
Honestly I am really grateful for you bringing this up as I now have a question for you, are you using the default pack or are you using the one I or someone else have made?

If you are using mine or someone's before the update I need to tell you after this recent update the CSDev has changed it so the game will recognize the Capitalization in the chosen packs. This was because some users were having issues as a result of the names being lowercase in the folder and being Capitalized in the actual game, So it could be that a portrait pack you are using still have all the names lowercased.Thank you that was incredibly helpful!

Don't worry this game has put all of us through the wringer the first time lol, there is a cheat mode built into the game, go into the options and go to difficulty and turn it to "Easy" this should enable cheats for single play and you can use that to play around with chosen and learn the game more! There isn't a cheat mode for campaign mode but CSDev said on their subscribe it will be implemented this update alongside some other things
And for a step-by-step guide I plan on doing a Day 50 run with the commentary system built into the game already, It's not going to explain everything especially since different chosen teams require entirely different strategies but some of the tactics and tricks I use have some general utility to them and I hope that will new people trying the game out.
I plan on making this guide after I finish this next wave of character designs for my portrait pack which should be finished around Friday so yea!
