piracy requires at least one person willing to share it (and the know how if the game needs to be cracked) if you're happy with the state the game is in so much go pledge for $5 and upload it here and be the piracy you want to see in the world

personally with the quality (or lack there of) of the public demo that is supposed to get people to actually want to spend money for early access and to support i'm not surprised anyone hasn't actually gone through the effort to post it yet. it lacks support for basic functions that are considered the literal bare bones of a game these days

Yeah, there’s already been upgrades to how the game runs, such as better settings and now difficulty adjustments outright. It’s not in a good enough state, but right now the purchaseable game is in a better state than at least half the games that have come out this decade, so either that says something about this game, or says something about this decade. The demo’s not much at all whatsoever, hence why I’m wanting someone to do it.

also, I can’t buy it, cause I live in a country that is actively trying to shut down stuff like this in an attempt to bankrupt itself and destroy all sympathy for itself, so I can’t have that on my credit card statement. If it wasn’t for it being Subscribestar, I might’ve also been unable to do so at all. I even use one of the cards used by the censorship banks, so I’m screwed anyway. Maybe that’s why I’m wanting this updated.

I'm considering it, but don't trust the end product after the magical girl game. Not to mention I've tried out the public demo, and you just get stuck on the opening screen (or at least I did). So idfk what was changed to mess it up, but I don't wanna buy a game to share that I can't play myself either, sorry.

Like genuinely wonder if there's some fucking troubleshooting, because this worked fine in the Alpha version posted here, but suddenly this one is completely broken for no reason, really pissed rn since I wasted like 15 mins trying to get it to work.

as for being unable to do it. ask the dev in discord if that's the case, cause you literally can't buy a product and want to. most indie devs tend to let you pay them directly and then they'll give you a download link

Apparently you haven’t heard about Visa and Mastercard bullying Steam and Itch.io into deleting adult games in an attempt to censor the nsfw industry, whilst also targeting lgbt games and games with violence, even in the process forcing Itch.io to not pay Vintage Story for 3 months because of this and thus cutting off Itch.io’s option for getting Vibtage Story. They’ve even gone so far that they’ve implemented a “customer feedback” option into purchases, which is a honeypot to catch nsfw commissions and deny purchases and even digitally ban those artists. Yes, this is real. Yes this is 100% easily illegal. Yes, it is immoral. Yes, people are fighting it. No, it does not mean that it isn’t real if it’s illegal and people are fighting back against it.

i would’ve otherwise given you the win there besides that, cause yeah it doesn’t have basic features and stuff, but given Mario Kart World literally only like two weeks ago FINALLY got the ability to change volume (an $80 usd first party major launch title for a 10th generation console in 2025 from Nintendo, didn’t have volume adjustment in game until 6-7 months after launch), and fullscreen issues aren’t too bad a problem since not everyone plays fullscreen, and not everyone runs 4k resolution or 1080p (I only like 1 year ago started running more than 1360x760p, and i went up to 1600x900p and only cause the others between those didn’t work right for my monitor), I’m willing to overlook these basic missing features since I can see them eventually being added, because again, indie dev.

besides, the purchase issue is me not wanting the purchase to even be on the credit card statement at all, kind of hard to avoid having it say on my purchase history on the card “Corruption Crucible $25 aud” when spending money on a credit card.

Thanks for this, but none of the levels launch sadly. It's just stuck on the loading screen with the "Continue" button but nothing happens when clicking it.

funky. was working just fine before, but i downloaded it again and now its busted. possible issue during zipping or uploading? will reupload tomorrow

genuinely weird. the thing that makes it work on my main machine but not yours and not my laptop is the save file. with a save file, it tries to load the correct level and starts successfully. without it, it loads a later level and fails. must be some variable i changed on accident? shouldnt take long to fix, will report back

yeah i forgot to ship the dll files that godot needs. i exported a bunch of different test versions into the same folder and only grabbed the most recent exe, forgetting that thats not all the game needs. my bad.

it now works, but for reasons unknown to me the text thats supposed to show at the start of the game telling you why youre here and whats going on, as well as the text on the game overs, only shows up in when i play the game through the godot editor, if i export it, even with debug options on, the text vanishes. i could put time and effort into finding out why and fixing it, but i see this as a feature, not a bug. if you want the full game experience, go pay your local indie dev.

if people are desperate for the text in the game overs or intro you can download the latest public demo and go into the saves (AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Corruption Crucible) and edit the save config to enable the game overs in the gallery

(should look something like this > "gameOverCGs":[true,true,true,true,true,true] < after you're done, should unlock in the games menus when you open the game afterwards)

i have no idea what you mean, the fixed version works just fine on both machines i tried it on.

well, "fine", its a bit yank due to things breaking during recompile. the yellow keycard door in level 1 doesnt load, letting you just see and walk through, which breaks some occlusion behind it, and the text doesnt show up, but other than that its fineeeeee

Thanks! Though, I somehow am not able to move in the game. Everything else works well. Any ideas what's happening? Tried rebinding controls, but movement still won't work

look in the bottom left corner when you enter level 1, itll list your controlls. if it lists anything other than wasd, the game is picking up on a controller, and you will need to unplug said controller

do note that its possible the controller needing to be unplugged is your mouse. how you will play without one is left as an exercise to the reader, but the good news is that its only *some* mice
