Also a writer / coder worth their salt could get this done in a fraction of the time. Seriously. If the writer does their job right and puts curly braces in the right spots, there is little the coder has to do besides a few hours tops of code. Maybe half a day if the base code is really shit.Because adding an option that says "what about meh" means 80 more hours of writing and 10 more hours of coding for someone that most players don't care about
Ah ok. I've got a vague idea what scene needs to happen first. ThanksI think it's the devs' subtle way of indicating that you are an inadequate lover. You see, a true master of the craft will take every opportunity to express his vision, weaving the themes of his art cleverly into every aspect of the game, including the interface itself.
Nah, you see, this is clearly Tobs' deep and analytical writing trying to convey the superiority of his definitely-not-Japanese-inspired of foxes that are ultra-nationalistic colonisers (I wish I was joking) that have to grace your people, the 'Northerners', the 'natives' of this land with their presence and do so by unironically trying to suck your soul--I mean, life essence in order to prosper which in no way shape or form makes them similar to the demons.I agree with this and I'll refer to what I said above in that It's absolutely frustrating to get looked over when you happen to be the person who makes anything of note happen and seem to be the only one who has any success against the badness. More so with the Kitsunes since you can go in and kick all their asses alone, and bring back their noble leader from being a ghost thing.
Makes it hard to believe that anyone would have the balls to not consult you about anything let alone your own family including your wife (who you saved) when you even got the okay from the god.
I mean no one could stop you if you wanted to be their dictator and you already pimp slapped edgeboi if you took on the tribe on your first visit. I mean what's to stop you from disciplining your own daughter if you think she's being a bit of a slut, let alone having your own wife who's supposed to love and support you (cause that the whole marriage shtick) deciding that you don't get to have a say in who your daughter marries.
I think the Kitsunes stand out in this way because the decisions that get made aren't logical so it's hard to understand why they're happening on top of the fact that it breezes over the MC like you didn't do all the things you did. Reminds me of how Leofric can smite you from the sky randomly despite having almost nothing to do with the plot. Feels weird to kick the shit out of his assistant 70 odd times cause she can't not ask you to gently give her a hiding just to get curb stomped before you can blink because logic would say that you got pretty good at fights 'n stuff. right? RIGHT?
Apparently wrong.
But you see, they're just like Imperial Japan: so madly racist and self-assured that they won't even entertain the idea that a "barbarian" can be better than them at anything, even when the evidence is right in front of their face. Nothing short of destroying them utterly will get them to understand that they're not top dog. Tobs actually kinda nailed it.Nah, you see, this is clearly Tobs' deep and analytical writing trying to convey the superiority of his definitely-not-Japanese-inspired of foxes that are ultra-nationalistic colonisers (I wish I was joking) that have to grace your people, the 'Northerners', the 'natives' of this land with their presence and do so by unironically trying to suck your soul--I mean, life essence in order to prosper which in no way shape or form makes them similar to the demons.
Their decisions aren't logical because they clearly are the more civilised people as opposed to you, the MC, and their merry band of companions that have singlehandedly brought down their foes, brought back their Esteemed Leader, be cool with their god and prove to be overall powerhouses, hence precisely why your people are 'backwater.' Clearly, getting shit done is far beneath them.
By the way, Kiyoko actually willingly handing over Kinu to Nakano (if Hime route) genuinely baffles me since the last build I played was from last year and am currently in the middle of just running through the current build. Now I am definitely determined to just keep her in the amulet. No way. It's like, what, the moment you return to being a 'den-mother', you revert back to your old kitsune ways? Is the MC just chopped liver? Did spending all that time in the amulet mean nothing?
Nah, clearly the MC's 'Northerner' self is not suited for this sort of thing. I mean, actually wanting to support your wife during childbirth is 'weird', right?
Eh, I wouldn't really say that. Based on the style of clothing, tech level and general ignorance towards the people of the land they're settling in, it's more of a mish-mash between Feudal Japan but with Imperial Japan ideology. The Feudal Japanese post-unification period would still be enforcing isolationism and would want little to do with foreigners, let alone colonise. The Imperial Japanese would fit the image Tobs is gunning for, sure, but they would also be a lot more Western since they would have adopted a lot of practices and fashion styles due to the Meiji Restoration, which rapidly modernised the nation at the cost of severe cultural whiplash. But you see, they're just like Imperial Japan: so madly racist and self-assured that they won't even entertain the idea that a "barbarian" can be better than them at anything, even when the evidence is right in front of their face. I may have been a bit cheeky in my post, but from what I understand of history, Imperial Japan was a militaristic, xenophobic and expansionist state that regarded foreigners as little more than vermin and thought nothing of committing genocide against them for that reason. So maybe the kitsune aren't that bad yet, but I'm sure they'll get there if given time.-snip-
Patreon is against incest because banks crack down on that kind of thing. Patreon is in favor of anything that makes them money and Fen himself has already stated that Patreon is lenient on them and tries to be as agreeable as possible.Patreon doesn't allow incest cause they're against free speech/discriminatory toward the sex /smut profession, so don't expect CoC2 to ever get incest content. (Though apparently fictional sex between first cousins is permitted, as with any blood relative even more distant than your first cousin )
Pretty sure every nation, once they reach a certain level of power tend to get their head up their ass and are not above committing anything to "lesser" nations.I may have been a bit cheeky in my post, but from what I understand of history, Imperial Japan was a militaristic, xenophobic and expansionist state that regarded foreigners as little more than vermin and thought nothing of committing genocide against them for that reason. I mean, to a certain extent that's true, but I think that they can be considered especially...wait, are we still talking about CoC here?Pretty sure every nation, once they reach a certain level of power tend to get their head up their ass and are not above committing anything to "lesser" nations.
I shouldn't have to state the actions of the current superpowers and the millions of civilians they have murdered outright or slowly in their endless pursuit of profit and power.
Culture will determine how long they will continue before the civilians of the superpower have had their fill of innocent blood. So to some extent, certain nations are less "evil".
Sort of, yes.I mean, to a certain extent that's true, but I think that they can be considered especially...wait, are we still talking about CoC here?
Hell, they practically are demons. They want to steal people's souls, and according to at least one ending, you just have to lose your soul, not necessarily have it turn to Lethicite, to become a demon. They're fucking monsters.Sort of, yes.
The way the kitsune as a whole are handled is pretty bad imo. The way I see it, they are essentially anime imperial japan. So given the opportunity they will not be above being as bad if not worse than the demons.
Which begs the question, why isn't there a templar on a crusade against all evil route yet.
TLDR Keros has no qualms culling entire families over bad politicsSort of, yes.

Which is why I think he'd be more favorable to allowing the MC to take as many concubines as he likes -- she even if someone manages to get Tobs' permission to write up romance for the male NPCs under his control for a female MC.TLDR Keros has no qualms culling entire families over bad politics
It's like Anime Imperial Japan, but at pre-Meiji Restoration levels of tech, and lore states they're essentially refugees not colonisers, but they have that imperial mindset, which essentially makes them parasites.Sort of, yes.

I completely forgot about that one. I never could stand Bubble but that’s definitely the cherry on the cake.Reminds me of how Leofric can smite you from the sky randomly despite having almost nothing to do with the plot.
I agree with pretty much everything that has been said so far, but this game still keeps giving. I found disturbing that for people of which culture is everything about smile and daggers, they do not show their ability to understand what is at stake when it comes to the MC behaviour. It's like Anime Imperial Japan, but at pre-Meiji Restoration levels of tech, and lore states they're essentially refugees not colonisers, but they have that imperial mindset, which essentially makes them parasites.
I would just like to say, as someone whose major specialises in East Asian affairs, the historical anachronism being tossed around really hurts my soul.
This is essentially the crux of why the writing in CoC2 just baffles me.I agree with pretty much everything that has been said so far, but this game still keeps giving. They must be kitsunes, then. Surely. Sucking out souls through sex? Must be them.I have bad news as to what an Incubus or Succubus is, Savin....
